Occupation Iraq: Obama's Plan B

"General Ray Odierno told reporters.... he has a Plan B.... slow the exit of US combat forces this year if Iraq’s politics become chaotic after the March 7 elections."

Which was really Plan A and what I have been typing for months: We aren't leaving and never were.

"23 dead in wave of prevote violence in Iraq; US troops’ exit could be slowed, top general says" by Marc Santora, New York Times | February 23, 2010

BAGHDAD - A series of bombings, beheadings, and shootings rippled through Iraq yesterday, leaving at least 23 people dead - including 9 children - and intensifying concern about a spike in violence with less than two weeks until national elections.

Authorities detected no discernible pattern to the violence, with rockets exploding in Baghdad’s heavily fortified Green Zone, car bombings aimed at government buildings, assassinations of security officers and government officials, and the killings of two families in their homes in Baghdad.

The top US general in Iraq said yesterday that he could slow the exit of US combat forces this year if Iraq’s politics become chaotic after the March 7 elections, the Associated Press reported.

Wow, that sure is tortured logic for insurgents who want us to leave.

Wouldn't they WAIT until AFTER WE HAVE GONE to THEN ATTACK the government? I mean, they waited this long so why wouldn't they wait a few more months?

Of course, when you REALIZE it is WESTERN INTELLIGENCE AGENCIES creating, funding, and directing the "terrorists" and ask "cui bono" from continued U.S. occupation the MSM agenda-pushing and obfuscations make perfect sense, don't they?

General Ray Odierno told reporters at the Pentagon that there are no signs that will be necessary, but he said he has a Plan B and told his superiors about it during Washington meetings over the past week. The United States has agreed to withdraw combat forces from Iraq by the end of August.

The slayings of the families was reminiscent of the attacks common during the height of the bloodletting between Sunnis and Shi’ites in Iraq a few years ago.

Yes, after a while you get sick of sectarian lies by the war-promoting paper and its blanket propaganda presented as fact.

Cui bono, readers?

In the largely Shi’ite town of Madaen, a gang of gunmen stormed a home of a family and killed all eight people there, including six children.

Or were they Blackwater assassins hired by the CIA?

Or are they government death squads run by the U.S. as some sort of Salvador Option??

“The criminals have beheaded some of the victims,’’ according to a brief statement from Baghdad Operations Command.

Beheading is considered a trademark of Al Qaeda in Mesopotamia, a largely domestic insurgent group with some foreign leaders that was created in the aftermath of the American-led invasion that toppled Saddam Hussein in April 2003.

Yeah, EVER NOTICE "Al-CIA-Duh" shows up wherever we do, world?

Of course, it FLIES RIGHT OVER the MSM HEAD that the statement EXPOSES a BUSH LIE!!

See: The Boston Globe Can Not Say a Lie

Oh, right.

But the Iraqi authorities gave no indication as to the motive behind the attack.

In another Shi’ite district in Baghdad, a mother and her three children were gunned down in the middle of the night.

Now THAT SOUNDS like an AFGHAN RAID by NATO, so.... draw the conclusion yourself.

And look at how quickly the MSM shifts from those items, 'eh?

Meanwhile, police found the bodies of two people who were shot to death. The bodies were dumped in the street of the Sunni neighborhood of Adhamiya, according to Iraqi officials.

But you know, Iraq is better than before, blah, blah, blah, blah.

The rocket attacks on the Green Zone wounded six people, according to Iraqi officials, but neither American nor Iraqi officials would provide details about where precisely they struck. An official at the American Embassy said there were no reports of Westerners injured.

Who cares what western liars, 'er, officials say anymore (or don't say) in the megaphone MSM?

Two mortar rounds landed near a complex that had been used as Saddam Hussein’s central security directorate in eastern Baghdad, near an American base, but there were no immediate reports of casualties.

In northern Baghdad, gunmen carried out a drive-by shooting of a convoy of officials working for the Ministry of Defense and killed two people. Separately, a police officer and a civilian were injured when gunmen open fire on their parked vehicles.

Yup, "GUNMEN" all over the place.

Oh, is that where they are coming from?

West of Baghdad, in the city of Ramadi, a suicide car bomber targeting a police garrison killed three people and injured seven.

Several Iraqi police and army checkpoints in the city of Mosul were attacked by gunmen, killing four officers, according to Iraqi officials.

Odierno said yesterday that commanders have already reduced the US military presence in Iraq to about 96,000 military personnel.

And it will STAY RIGHT THERE despite the BS we are fed on a not-daily basis.

About a week earlier:

"US troops at lowest level since ’03 invasion of Iraq; With pullout near, fewer than 100,000 remain" by Chelsea J. Carter, Associated Press | February 17, 2010

BAGHDAD - The number of American soldiers in Iraq has dropped below 100,000 for the first time since the 2003 US-led invasion in a clear signal the United States is wrapping up its nearly seven-year war to meet a deadline for leaving the country, the US military said yesterday.

Yup, sure.

The troop reduction comes at a critical time in Iraq as Washington questions the shaky democracy’s ability to maintain security....

The US military plans on maintaining its current 98,000 boots on the ground in Iraq through the elections, First Lieutenant Elizabeth Feste, an army spokeswoman in Baghdad, said.

AND BEYOND!

That’s in line with what General Ray Odierno, the top US commander in Iraq, has said would remain in place until at least 60 days after the election - a period during which he believes Iraq’s new government will be at its most vulnerable.

AT LEAST!

Which means LIKELY LONGER and NEVER, America.

Is this why you elected Barack Obama, America?

To STAY in IRAQ after he said he would get us out?

International observers fear that tension between the Shi’ite-dominated government and minority Sunnis may spill into the streets, reigniting sectarian violence that could threaten the planned US withdrawal.

Yes, WE KNOW ABOUT the WAR-PROMOTING COVER STORIES and LIES ABOUT Iraq, *ewsmedia, thank you.

President Obama has ordered all but 50,000 troops to leave Iraq by Aug. 31, 2010, with the remainder pulling out by the end of next year under an Iraqi-American security agreement.

“The withdrawal pace remains on target for about 50,000 at the end of August 2010,’’ Feste said.

Yeah, so we ARE NEVER REALLY GETTING OUT despite the MSM FRAMING of the ISSUE! Hey, if they were not trying to deceive, divide, or conceal, it wouldn't be an AmeriKan *ewspaper.

Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki is running for reelection on a campaign promise to make Iraq independent from US military help. At a campaign rally yesterday, he signaled that the United States cannot expect to use Iraq as a launching pad for military action in the Middle East.

Did that puppet just move with no one pulling his strings or is this just campaign blather. Like he's going to stop us if we want to go ahead with the invasion and attack on Iran, huh?

He also cited a strong desire to improve relations with nations bordering Iraq that were seen as enemies during Saddam Hussein’s regime. Maliki’s comments appeared to be directed at Iran, although he did not mention any countries by name.

We all know who he meant.

So the beneficiaries of this blood-sucking and bankrupting occupation is going to be -- IRAN?!!!

Nice going, neo-con and globalist dirt-bags!

“We also confirm to all our neighboring and friendly countries that our constitution stipulates to not let the Iraqi territories be a springboard to harm security and interests of any state,’’ Maliki told supporters at a Baghdad hotel....

How come the hotel wasn't bombed, huh?

Of course, that constitution was written by a self-serving AmeriKan.

Troop levels have fluctuated dramatically throughout the nearly seven-year war, shifts that generally reflected a change in US strategy.

During the height of the invasion in May 2003, about 150,000 US forces were in Iraq. But that number quickly dropped off by January 2004, with American troops moving from a combat to occupation role.

Yeah, the s*** press finally calls it what it is -- seven years too late.

But by October 2005, the number climbed back up to 160,000 as the insurgency took hold in Iraq, according to the Pentagon. At the peak of the troop buildup in October 2007, there were about 170,000 troops on the ground as part of a counterinsurgency strategy known as the “surge.’’

Which failed considering the state of Iraq today.

Nothing has changed, readers, despite the MSM's concealment of such things day after day, week after week, month after month, year after year. They lied about Iraq since forever and still are. That's why no one reads or trusts the AmeriKan MSM anymore.

Though the US military has heavily touted the decline in overall violence and the success of Iraq’s security as the reason for its withdrawal, it also has repeatedly warned about an increase in attacks before the election.

Then BET the HOUSE ION IT, cui bono -- especially with the EXPANSION of the WAR into IRAN!!!

Occupation Iraq: Lone Uptick

Okay, here is your lone day of coverage the last week:

"Car bomb attack on government complex in Iraq kills 13" by Saad Abdul-Kadir, Associated Press | February 19, 2010

BAGHDAD - A suicide car bomb exploded yesterday outside the gate of the main government compound in the capital of Iraq’s Anbar Province, killing at least 13 people, including four police officers, a health official said.

The attacker detonated his explosive-packed car at the compound that houses the governor’s office, police headquarters, and courts in downtown Ramadi.

The province, where Sunni insurgents backed by Al Qaeda once held sway, has seen a rise in attacks against security forces and government officials in recent months.

But you would NEVER KNOW IT reading the BOSTON GLOBE!

Analysts worry that next month’s elections will further stoke political violence.

Cui bono?

The blast also wounded at least 26 people, said Dr. Khudhair Khalaf, the director of the provincial health authority.

Debris from the car bomb could be seen strewn on the bloodstained pavement in front of the compound, along with slippers and a red-checkered traditional tribal headdress. The force of the explosion damaged two civilian cars and a police vehicle and shattered the windows of a nearby restaurant.

Anbar was the site of some of the war’s most intense fighting between US forces and insurgents in the key cities of Ramadi and Fallujah, though the province is more peaceful now.

Whatever, MSM, sigh.

Hey, can I have that salt shaker, readers?

I like to take grains when I take my morning MSM.

Despite an overall decline in violence, insurgents regularly attack security forces and government officials.

Had enough, readers?

In Mosul, 225 miles northwest of Baghdad, 22 people were wounded yesterday when a parked-car bomb exploded near an Iraqi police convoy, a police official said.

Also yesterday, Iraqi security officials said they have arrested eight people for allegedly ripping down campaign posters that are plastered across Baghdad. They face up to a year in jail under an elections law being enforced for the first time since 2003.

Who cares about politics anymore?

Judging by the MSM coverage you would think the U.S. is sitting around with its thumb up its ass, huh, readers?

No patrols or operations or anything.

Why can't we leave then?

"Two Army pilots killed in Iraq helicopter crash, US says" by Associated Press | February 22, 2010

Oh, I stand corrected, readers!

BAGHDAD - Two American Army pilots were killed yesterday in a helicopter crash on a base in northern Iraq, the US military said.

The military said there were no enemy forces present and no hostile fire reported. It said the accident was under investigation, and the pilots’ names were being withheld pending notification of relatives.

The deaths raise to at least 4,378 the number of US military personnel who have died in Iraq since the war began in March 2003, according to an Associated Press count....

Yup, DIED for a CROCK FULL of LIES!!!

With MORE to be SERVED UP, 'murka!

"Citing its own tests, Iraq stands by a much-maligned bomb-detection device" by Associated Press | February 24, 2010

BAGHDAD - Iraq will not pull a scandal-ridden bomb-detection device from service, saying an investigation determined that most of the wandlike instruments work, a government spokesman said yesterday.

Exports of the British-made instruments to Iraq and Afghanistan were banned by Britain last month after a television report challenged their ability to detect explosives following a series of suicide bombing attacks in central Baghdad that killed hundreds. The United States also has repeatedly urged Baghdad to stop using the devices, on grounds that they don’t work.

But Iraq said an investigation ordered by Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki found the devices - used primarily at Iraqi checkpoints - do generally work, though some were fake or ineffective.

Like his government?

Those would be withdrawn from service and replaced with new versions, according to a government spokesman, Ali al-Dabbagh.

Iraq is still investigating individuals involved in the procurement and import of the devices and plans to sue the manufacturer over those that did not work, he said.

The statement did not say exactly how many of the wands would be withdrawn from service, but Dabbagh later told the Associated Press that only 50 percent of the gadgets were operational.

That's not a good pass/fail security ratio when talking car bombs and such.

However, he added, measures were being taken to expand the use of trained dogs at checkpoints to detect explosives.

In other words, they know the machines do not work but are going to continue to pretend that they do.

Britain halted the export of the device, known as the ADE651, last month after a BBC report said it uses technology similar to anti-shoplifting tags and cannot uncover explosives. Police later arrested the manufacturer’s director on suspicion of fraud. He has been released, though an investigation continues. There was no immediate comment from the manufacturer, ATSC Ltd.

Last month, the Iraqis promised to halt the use of the gadgets and seek an alternative if the investigation determined they were flawed. But Dabbagh’s statement said that only individual devices had problems, and he supported the use of the gadgets overall.

Maybe this is why the security services are missing the bombs:

BAGHDAD - The ADE 651 is a hand-held wand with no batteries or internal electronic components, ostensibly powered by the static electricity of the user, who needs to walk in place to charge it. The only moving part is what looks like a radio antenna on a swivel, which swings to point toward the presence of weapons or explosives....

It's not funny because PEOPLE are DYING, but DON'T TELL ME SOMEONE REALLY FELL FOR THIS SHIT?

Barnum was right: there is a sucker born every second, and the world is now full of them!

The owner of a British company that supplies possibly worthless bomb detectors to Iraq has been arrested on fraud charges and export of the devices has been banned, British government officials confirmed yesterday. Iraqi officials reacted angrily to the news, noting a series of horrific bombings in the past six months despite widespread use of the bomb detectors at hundreds of checkpoints in Baghdad.

Oooooh.

“This company not only caused grave and massive losses of funds, but it has caused grave and massive losses of the lives of innocent Iraqi civilians, by the hundreds and thousands, from attacks that we thought we were immune to because we have this device,’’ said Ammar Tuma, a member of the Iraqi parliament’s Security and Defense Committee.

Well, now you know better about your "liberators."

Liberating you only from your money over a lie.

But the Ministry of the Interior has not withdrawn the device from duty and police officers continue to use them.

Did SOMEONE JUST SAY FALSE FLAG INSIDE JOBS, folks?

They KNOW they DON'T WORK but are USING THEM anyway?

Iraqi officials said they would begin an investigation into why their government paid $85 million to the British company, ATSC Ltd., for about 800 of the bomb detectors, called ADE 651s. The New York Times first reported official doubts about the device in November, citing American military officials and technical experts who said the ADE 651 was useless, despite widespread reliance on it in Iraq.

Oh, what a STINKING STENCH, folks!
