Palestinian Ambassador Murdered in Prague

JWho would want to do that?

"Palestinian ambassador in Prague killed in blast" by Karel Janicek |  Associated Press, January 02, 2014

PRAGUE — The Palestinian ambassador to the Czech Republic died Wednesday in an explosion that occurred when he opened an old safe that had been left untouched for more than 20 years, officials said.

Pffft!

Ambassador Jamal al-Jamal, 56, was at home with his wife at the time of the explosion, according to Palestinian Embassy spokesman Nabil El-Fahel. Jamal was rushed to a hospital, where he later died, police spokeswoman Andrea Zoulova said.

It appeared that the door of the safe had been booby-trapped, Zoulova said.

Foreign Minister Riad Malki of the Palestinian Authority said no foul play was suspected, noting that the safe had not been touched for more than 20 years. The safe had recently been moved from the old embassy building, but it had come from a building that used to house the Palestinian Liberation Organization’s offices in the 1980s, Malki said.

‘‘The ambassador decided to open it,’’ Malki said. “After he opened it, apparently something happened inside, and it went off.’’

It was not immediately clear how Malki knew the safe had not been touched for more than 20 years or why and when the safe would have been booby-trapped.

Cover story crap starting to stink, sorry.

During the 1980s, before the fall of the Soviet Union, the PLO had close ties with many Eastern bloc countries. In recent years relations have been tense, and the Czech government was seen as largely taking Israel’s side in the Mideast conflict, said Nabil Shaath, a foreign affairs veteran and leading official in the Fatah movement of President Mahmoud Abbas of the Palestinian Authority.

‘‘The safe was sitting neglected in one of the areas of the old embassy,” Malki said. “It was in one of the corners. No one had touched it for 20 to 25 years.”

The embassy recently moved to a new complex.

‘‘The ambassador wanted to know what was in the safe,’’ Malki said. ‘‘He opened it and asked his wife to bring a paper and a pen to write down the contents of the safe. She left him to bring pen and paper. During that time, she heard the sound of an explosion.’’

The ambassador and his wife were alone in the building at the time because it was a holiday, Malki said.

Stinking even more as an assassination.

Martin Cervicek, the country’s top police officer, told Czech public television that nothing was immediately found to suggest that the diplomat had been a victim of a crime.

Cervicek later said that police found another safe at the embassy complex and were checking it, but that no other explosives were found.

Prague rescue service spokeswoman Jirina Ernestova said Jamal was placed in a medically induced coma when he first arrived at Prague Military Hospital. Dr. Daniel Langer, who works there, told public television that Jamal had suffered serious abdominal injuries, as well as injuries to his chest and head.

Jamal was born in 1957 in Beirut’s Sabra and Shatilla refugee camp.

A camp that still exists today, and thus generations of Palestinians have known nothing but.

His family was originally from Jaffa, in what is now Israel. He joined Fatah in 1975. In 1979, he was appointed deputy ambassador in Bulgaria. He served as a diplomat in Prague beginning in 1984 and in Egypt from 2005 to 2013. In October 2013, he was appointed ambassador to Prague.

No update from the website(?) as the mystery deepens over Prague blast (as my printed paper put it):

"Diplomat's Daughter Says Prague Death Suspicious" by The Associated Press, January 02, 2014

PRAGUE (AP) — The mystery behind a booby-trapped safe that exploded and killed the Palestinian ambassador in Prague deepened Thursday with the diplomat's daughter rejecting accounts given by a Palestinian official and suggesting there could be more to the story.

Ambassador Jamal al-Jamal, 56, died Wednesday of massive injuries when an old embassy safe exploded. The career diplomat had only started his posting in October.

Palestinian Foreign Minister Riad Malki said Wednesday the safe had been inside the offices of the Palestinian Liberation Organization since the 1980s, and that it had been left untouched for more than 20 years. He also said no foul play was suspected.

But on Thursday, Palestinian Embassy spokesman Nabil El-Fahel contradicted Malki's statement when he told Czech radio that the safe had been in constant use.

There was no immediate explanation for the contradiction, but it raised an important question: If the safe had been in constant use, why didn't it explode before al-Jamal opened it?

Because that is cover story crap from a $elf-$erving jews organ?

"The Palestinian official account is baseless," the ambassador's daughter, 30-year-old Rana Al-Jamal, told The Associated Press in a telephone interview from Ramallah in the West Bank. "The safe box has been in regular use — my mom (who lives there) told me that. The box was moved a day earlier and apparently something happened in the way."

"We, the family, believe it is a crime, and we need to find out what happened.

She did not elaborate on what she thought may have occurred.

I will:

"Her father died in a bizarre accident [and] the manner of his death – reportedly caused by an old embassy safe exploding – recalled murky days of special operations blamed on Israeli agents in European cities and beyond. Since the 1950s, the fingerprints of Israel’s national intelligence agency Mossad and the internal security service Shin Bet have been detected in a string of attacks and assassinations ranging from targeted shootings to bombings and kidnappings. Allegations of such activities have become rarer in recent years but nevertheless persist. Although Israel never formally claims responsibility, such events have been seen by critics as acts of revenge and by official sources in Tel Aviv as measures designed to prevent future incidents they classify as terrorism."

And now their regional flag$hit known as the Boston Globe is covering up for them.

Police spokeswoman Andrea Zoulova said it appeared that the door of the safe had been booby-trapped, but it was unclear how al-Jamal tried to open it or what type of safe it was. It was also unclear what caused the safe to explode.

There sure is a lot "unclear" for it to be quickly declared an "accident."

Zoulova told the AP on Thursday that nothing had been found to suggest the diplomat had been a victim of a crime, but she declined to elaborate.

That's where print ended it.

Weapons, however, were found and were considered illegal because they were not registered, Zoulova said. It was unclear what type of weapons were found at the complex.

The country's counterintelligence service, BIS, said the death didn't appear suspicious. Prime Minister Jiri Rusnok called the death "an unfortunate and tragic event."

The safe was recently moved from the old embassy building, but it had come from a building that used to house the PLO's offices in the 1980s, Malki said.

The PLO had offices in Prague in 1976 but it obtained diplomatic status in 1983 when it was officially recognized.

During the Cold War — before the fall of the Soviet Union — the PLO had close ties with the Eastern bloc countries.

Several members of the PLO were linked to terror attacks during the Cold War.

Pavel Kolar, the head of Prague's Institute of Criminology, said Thursday that their investigation would take several days at least.

The death was being investigated as a case of negligence and possession of illegal armaments.

The embassy recently moved to a new complex, and the safe was in the ambassador's residence.

A team of Palestinian experts is expected to participate in the investigation.

Security analyst Andor Sandor said it would be unusual to protect embassy documents with a booby-trapped device.

During their search, police discovered one more safe at the embassy complex but no explosives were found.

Why Am I No Longer Reading the Newspaper?

I think so; as we have seen so often, we will never get full disclosure or the truth from the propaganda pre$$. All we get is cover stories, staged and scripted fictions, agenda-pu$hing garbage, and outright lies.
