French Got Phoqued

In the mo$t loving way po$$ible, of cour$e (that's what you get for filching on the Russian sanctions, monsieur).

They got rolled over by Germany like they always do, but they won big on the Globe scoreboard this week:

"Mother kills kindergarten teacher in class, French authorities say |    July 05, 2014

PARIS — The mother of a pupil at a French preschool stabbed a teacher to death in front of her class Friday, the last day of the school year, authorities said.

If it really happened. You never know these days when opening an AmeriKan new$paper.

Education Minister Benoit Hamon said the mother apparently had ‘‘serious psychiatric problems,’’ and he pledged support for teachers in the face of angry or violent parents. Police said the mother was taken into custody.

What medications was the mother on? Sanofis?

Deadly attacks in a school are extremely rare in France, and the stabbing in front of a class of 5- and 6-year-olds raised concern at the highest levels. French President Francois Hollande expressed outrage at the attack at the Edouard Herriot school in Albi in southern France.

It is not the only thing to be concerned about (see below), but at least school is out.

As for Hollande, it does provide a distraction from the failure of his aby$mal admini$tration.

Hamon traveled to the school and told reporters the mother of a pupil ‘‘committed this abominable act in a class against a remarkable teacher.’’

Police and city officials would not comment on possible reasons for the attack on Fabienne Terral-Calmès, 34. The slain teacher had two young daughters, Hamon said.

If all true at face value, a sorrowful tragedy.

I'm wondering if the attacker wasn't one of, you know:

"France’s ban on full-face veils upheld" New York Times Syndicate   July 01, 2014

LONDON — The European Court of Human Rights upheld on Tuesday a ban imposed by France on the wearing of full-face veils in public, rejecting arguments that the measure violated religious freedoms and bolstering opponents of strict Islamic dress in other parts of Europe.

The ban, which went into effect three years ago in France, has been contentious since it set authorities on a collision course with Muslims who said the full-face veil was an obligation of their faith.

The ban, imposed by the former conservative government of Nicolas Sarkozy, was also depicted by its critics as exploiting anti-Muslim and anti-immigrant sentiments.

We will get to him a little later.

At the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg, France, judges said the ban was a legitimate attempt to promote diversity and did not infringe on Europe’s Convention on Human Rights. The court was ruling on a case brought by an unidentified French woman who said the law violated her freedom of conscience.

"France steps up security on US-bound flights | Associated Press   July 05, 2014

PARIS — France plans to increase security on flights headed for the United States this summer amid US concerns that Al Qaeda is trying to develop a new kind of bomb.

Related: August Terror Scare

Same time next year!

The Obama administration this week called for tighter security measures at foreign airports that have direct flights to the United States, prompting British airports to increase security Thursday.

Related:

"U.S. warnings amid concern that a new generation of bombs could evade existing scans. The threat could prove to be a long-term one, as the latest threat concerns an alliance of al-Qaeda-inspired terrorists in Syria and Yemen equipped with hard-to-detect “stealth” bombs."

Except for the trail of propaganda stink they leave behind.

Nothing from the web Globe on that one, huh?

How interesting that now Yemen has also been tied in to the upcoming false flag terror attack along with Syria, as the ma$$ media propaganda machine prepares the ground and telegraphs a future false flag inside job that must be imminent.

Or maybe it will be from Nigeria (a whole year and all they did was kidnap girls and blow up a few things and threaten unbelievers? What cowards!)! Or Pakistan, although they have dropped off the radar lately (all current, folks, as far as Globe coverage. Got a quiet little war going in the corner up there in northwest Pakistan)!

The French civil aviation authority Friday announced stepped-up security measures for the summer. The agency said the measures might cause delays on US-bound flights.

How long can you walk on eggshells?

French government officials would not elaborate on the measures, citing the need for discretion in security matters.

One fear is that extremists with a US or other Western passport could carry the new bomb onto a plane undetected by airport security.

Only if they were allowed to by some government case manager.

At Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris, US-bound flights saw delays of 30 minutes to an hour Friday. Sophie le Poulennec, a 26-year-old heading to Chicago, said she hoped there weren’t any new luggage restrictions as a result.

‘‘I got no information today about this,’’ she said at the airport.

A US counterterrorism official said this week that American intelligence has picked up indications bomb makers from Yemen-based Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula have traveled to Syria to link with the Al Qaeda affiliate there, known as the Nusra Front.

They didn't link with ISIS?

"Nicolas Sarkozy questioned about Khadafy funds" by Sylvie Corbet and Angela Charlton | Associated Press   July 02, 2014

PARIS — Former president Nicolas Sarkozy of France was in police custody Tuesday, apparently under questioning in an investigation linked to allegations that he took $50 million in illegal campaign funds from Libya’s Moammar Khadafy.

Really?

A former president in a jail cell.

What a thrilling idea.

But the shocking detention and sordid case might not torpedo Sarkozy’s chances at a presidential comeback.

(Blog editor can only shake his head; no wonder people are voting for Le Pen)

A political survivor who has been touring the world with his singer wife, Sarkozy, 59, is still among the most popular politicians in France despite a pile of investigations that target him.

What bad pickings they must have on the political vine.

He has not been convicted and remains well known on the international stage.

Meaning the elite globe-kickers planning wars and running this planet are running out of people to work with.

And he may be his troubled conservative party’s best chance to regain the presidency in 2017, after losing it to Socialist Francois Hollande in 2012.

He turned out to be the most-hated president in French history, and for good rea$on: he's a $ociali$t.

Sarkozy and Bush years look like salad days, huh?

An official said Sarkozy was detained for questioning Tuesday at the headquarters of the judicial police in the Paris suburb of Nanterre. The official, who was not authorized to be named while discussing an ongoing investigation, would not elaborate. French police, prosecutors, and other judicial officials would not provide details.

Sarkozy could be held up to 24 hours, which could be extended for another day.

Was he tortured?

After questioning, he could be released without charge, named as a witness in the case, or handed preliminary charges.

French media say Sarkozy is being questioned in an investigation linked to financing for his 2007 presidential campaign, notably allegations that Khadafy gave Sarkozy illegal campaign donations.

That was when Khadafy had foresworn nuclear and other WMD but before he started bucking the buck.

The French daily Le Monde, which has covered the case closely, says the questioning centers around whether Sarkozy and his lawyer, Thierry Herzog, were kept informed about the investigation by a magistrate, Gilbert Azibert.

I'm doing the be$t I can con$idering the $ource.

"Defiant Sarkozy fights back against corruption charges" by Thomas Adamson | Associated Press   July 03, 2014

PARIS — Former President Nicolas Sarkozy has accused France’s justice system of trying to ‘‘humiliate’’ and ‘‘destroy’’ him, after he was charged in a corruption probe that could spell trouble for his future political ambitions.

I was told the day before.... never mind.

The former conservative party leader fought back in a broadcast interview Wednesday, hours after his release from questioning over a highly publicized investigation into allegations that he took $67 million in illegal campaign funds from Libya’s Moammar Khadafy.

Is it me, or does the dollar amount keep rising?

The detention — an unusual move for such a high-level figure — has dominated French news broadcasts, and comes as his faltering UMP political party has floated a possible comeback by the 59-year-old.

I must say, I'm envious.

Sarkozy, who spent nearly a day in custody on Tuesday answering questions about his 2007 presidential campaign, said on TF1 TV and Europe-1 radio that he was ‘‘profoundly shocked’’ over his 16-hour detention.

‘‘Is it normal that I should be in custody for so long?’’ Sarkozy asked, squinting intensely at an interviewer. He said his detention was motivated out of ‘‘a desire to humiliate me.’’

‘‘A part of the justice system is being used for political purposes,’’ he said, warning of an unspecified plot.

Oh, how $hocking.

‘‘In our country . . . there are things that are in the process of being organized,’’ he said. ‘‘The French need to know them, and in their conscience, and freely, need to judge what’s happening.’’

Stop the elite whining because you are used to elite treatment, sphincter.

Le Monde newspaper has reported that the questioning centers on whether Sarkozy and his lawyers were informed about an investigation into the Libyan case by magistrate Gilbert Azibert, in exchange for promises — that were never fulfilled — for him to receive a post in Monaco. ‘‘Azibert did not get a post in Monaco,’’ Sarkozy said. ‘‘There has been no move in favor of Monsieur Azibert.’’

He hinted that the charges would not necessarily stop him for running for president again in 2017 — although he left people guessing about his future career plans.

‘‘I’m not a man who is discouraged by villainy and political manipulation,’’ said Sarkozy, lashing out at what he called left-leaning magistrates ‘‘whose political obsession is to destroy the person who’s meant to be investigated.’’

Earlier, Prime Minister Manuel Valls said the investigation was being carried out independent of the Socialist government. His boss, Socialist President Francois Hollande, defeated Sarkozy in the presidential race in 2012.

That compares with only two late goals by Germany today.
