"Gunmen kill 44 people praying at mosque in Nigeria" by Haruna Umar | Associated Press, August 13, 2013
MAIDUGURI, Nigeria — Suspected Islamic militants wearing army fatigues gunned down 44 people praying at a mosque in northeast Nigeria, while another 12 civilians died in an apparently simultaneous attack, security agents said Monday.
Wow, does that ever reek of a false flag right off the top.
The attacks were the latest in a slew of violence blamed on religious extremists in this West African oil producer, where the radical Boko Haram group, which wants to oust the government and impose Islamic law, poses the greatest security threat in years.
Yeah, strange how the "terrorists" always show up near crucial resources or shipping lanes.

The news from Borno state, one of three in the northeast under a military state of emergency, came as journalists received a video featuring Boko Haram leader Abubakar Shekau, who gloats over recent attacks, threatens more, and says his group is now strong enough to go after the United States....
Tenet's hair would be on fire, alarm bells would be ringing in Clarke's office, and yet Obama isn't even paying attention as he smiles for the cameras while he is on vacation.

"Suspected militants kill 5 in Yemen" by Ahmed Al-Haj | Associated Press, August 12, 2013
SANA, Yemen — Suspected Al Qaeda gunmen killed five soldiers early Sunday at a checkpoint in a southern province, a Yemeni official said, amid an intensified campaign of suspected US drone strikes in the country.
The official said the attackers surprised the soldiers at their post guarding oil and gas projects in the Radhum area of Shabwa province.
Despite the countrywide alert?
The ambush follows a two-week-long spike in drone strikes targeting Al Qaeda. Yemeni officials say nine attacks have killed 38 alleged militants.
Add four more souls the list since last time.
The official spoke on condition of anonymity according to regulations.
Pipelines carrying oil and gas to coastal terminals in Yemen’s mostly lawless south have been repeatedly attacked by militants and tribes with which they have ties. Yemeni officials also suspect tribesmen allied with Ali Abdullah Saleh, former president.
"Al-Saleh-Duh?"
The United States considers the local Al Qaeda branch, also known as Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, to be the world’s most active. Washington last week flew diplomatic staff out of Yemen’s capital over fears of a terrorist attack. The embassy remains closed, even as US officials have reopened 18 other diplomatic posts across the Arab and Muslim world. Those installations had been closed after intelligence agents reportedly intercepted a message about plans for a major terrorist attack.
Blah, blah, blah, they are all open now, propaganda campaign fallen flat, pfffffft!
A government spokesman said last week that Yemen had foiled a plot to target other oil ports on the coast.
