They tortured their own to death:
"2 South Korean soldiers die in anti captivity training" New York Times September 04, 2014
SEOUL — Two South Korean soldiers died late Tuesday during an exercise meant to prepare them for capture by the enemy, military officials said Wednesday. The apparent cause was suffocation, they said.
The two were staff sergeants in a special forces unit based about 60 miles southeast of Seoul, according to a spokesman, who briefed reporters on the condition that he not be identified. The spokesman said they were in their early 20s.
The training exercise was meant to teach the soldiers to endure captivity, the spokesman said. The soldiers were required to kneel with hoods over their heads and their hands tied behind their backs. Trainers realized the exercise was going wrong when another soldier, who was later hospitalized, screamed and flailed his legs, the spokesman said.
He said the military was investigating the deaths, with a particular focus on supervision.

And I'm sorry, but I'm tired of being suffocated with CIA spy under Christian cover:
"Detained American in North Korea gets trial date" | Associated Press September 08, 2014
SEOUL — Detained American Matthew Miller will be tried next Sunday, North Korean state media said.
Pyongyang’s official Korean Central News Agency said in a brief dispatch Sunday that the Supreme Court decided to try Miller on Sept. 14.
It did not elaborate on specific charges against him, although past reports have accused him of hostile acts.
Miller, 24, was detained after entering the country April 10, when he tore up his tourist visa at the airport and shouted that he wanted to seek asylum, KCNA has reported.
Something smells wrong there.
In a brief interview in Pyongyang last week, Miller and two other Americans held by North Korea, Jeffrey Fowle and Kenneth Bae, called for Washington to send a high-ranking US representative to make a direct appeal for their freedom.
How embarrassing.
North Korea has often used detained Americans as bargaining chips with Washington in the past. Senior statesmen including former president Bill Clinton have made trips to Pyongyang to secure the release of detainees.
Bae, a Korean-American missionary who is accused of plotting to overthrow the Pyongyang regime, has been sentenced to a 15-year term.
Yeah, AmeriKa never does that anywhere in the world!
He said last week that his health has deteriorated at the labor camp where he works eight hours a day.
Only eight hours? North Korea has prison labor laws?
I guess the point is North Korea is bad because they have prison work programs and stuff while ignoring the vast U.S. archipelago of offshore torture centers, onshore black sites, secrets at Gitmo, and all the rest.
I mean, the rank hypocrisy is enough to make one stop reading this garbage. Good God!
Fowle arrived in the country on April 29. He is suspected of leaving a Bible in a nightclub in the northern port city of Chongjin.
North Korea has nightclubs????????
Christian evangelism is considered a crime in North Korea.
Fowle lives in Miamisburg, Ohio, and has a wife and three children.
Did they know he was a spy, or is it true lies? Or are they crisis actors like Foley's parents and Robby Parker of Sandy Hook fame?
National Security Council spokesman Patrick Ventrell said that the White House has closely followed their cases and that it is doing all it can to win their ‘‘earliest possible release.’’
Translation: the spies knew the risks, we ain't doing nothing (emissary on way, though, probably Bill Clinton).

Globe let up on both pretty quick.
