"Mozilla contends UK spyware company hijacked its brand" by Raphael Satter | Associated Press, May 02, 2013
LONDON — The maker of one of the Internet’s most popular browsers is taking on one of the world’s best-known purveyors of surveillance software, accusing a British company of hijacking the Mozilla brand to camouflage its espionage products.
The Mozilla Foundation — responsible for the Firefox browser — said late Tuesday that Gamma International Ltd. was passing off its FinFisher spy software as a Firefox product to avoid detection. Mozilla described the tactic as abusive.
Not only are they collecting "intelligence" and spying on you, they then deliberately and deceitfully lied about the product.
‘‘We are sending Gamma, the FinFisher parent company, a cease and desist letter demanding that these practices be stopped immediately,’’ Mozilla executive Alex Fowler said in a statement from the company, based in Mountain View, Calif.
Gamma, based in Andover, England, did not respond to seven e-mails. The company has ignored repeated questions from the Associated Press for more than a month.
That will get their attention!
Gamma’s FinFisher is one of many corporate-made viruses that have attracted scrutiny after the wave of Arab revolutions exposed the high-tech tools used by repressive regimes to stifle dissent.
Then the British-made products were $old to the "enemy?" Or were they sold to "friendly" governments (you know who, readers, and yeah, it does rhyme) and we aren't be told by the jewsmedia.
FinFisher — which can log keystrokes, record Skype calls, and turn webcams and cellphones into improvised surveillance devices — drew particular attention after a sales pitch for the spyware was discovered in an Egyptian state security building in 2011.
So we wouldn't even know about this were it not for the brave citizens of Egypt (friendly then, now iffy. IMF putting on the squeeze) who rose up two years ago to eject Mubarak?
Citizen Lab, a research group based at the University of Toronto’s Munk School of Global Affairs, has since linked FinFisher to servers in 36 countries and found the virus hidden in documents including news updates from Bahrain and photographs of Ethiopian opposition figures. In a report published late Tuesday, Citizen Lab said that it had also found a FinFisher sample hiding in a document about Malaysia’s upcoming general election.
Citizen Lab’s Morgan Marquis-Boire said the evidence fell short of proving that FinFisher was being used by one government or another, but said its dispersal hinted at the global reach of espionage programs.
‘‘It really shows the ubiquity of this type of software,’’ he said.
That ubiquity has already given Gamma a public relations headache.
Aaaaaawwww! Poor totalitarians!
In March, the company was identified as one of five ‘‘corporate enemies of the Internet’’ by journalists’ lobbying group Reporters Without Borders.
WOW! (I, too, am a reporter without borders when you think about it.)
Earlier this month the rights group Privacy International sued the British government over allegations that Gamma had illegally exported its surveillance technology — an accusation the company has denied.
A British legal expert said Mozilla’s intervention could spell new trouble for Gamma.

Now proceed to.... bankruptcy?
"A new Kodak is set to emerge from bankruptcy" Associated Press, May 02, 2013
NEW YORK — Eastman Kodak plans to emerge from bankruptcy protection by the end of September after shedding most of the businesses that turned it into an American icon.
The reorganized Kodak will focus instead on commercial imaging and printing, where it believes it can once again become profitable, according to its bankruptcy reorganization plan.
Founded in 1880, Kodak filed for bankruptcy protection at the beginning of 2012. It had survived for years on the remnants of its old business — particularly its early patents for consumer digital cameras that eventually replaced the film business.
It has been selling bits of the company through most of the past year.
On Monday, the Rochester, N.Y., company said it was selling its personalized and document-imaging businesses to its UK pension plan for $650 million. The pension plan will settle its $2.8 billion claim, and clear the way for the photography pioneer to exit bankruptcy protection between July and September.
The deal also includes kiosks that consumers use to make prints of digital photos.
Kodak has sold about 100,000 of those kiosks, the company said.
The pension plan will be able to use the Kodak name for things like film and film cameras, and Kodak will provide the supplies and services needed to operate the consumer film business.
Late last year Kodak sold some 7,500 patents to a consortium of buyers for $527 million. It sold its online photo sharing and printing business to Shutterfly in May 2012 for $23.8 million....
Hey, look, I'm just glad the executives got their bonuses and dough as the company was cratering.

"DreamWorks buys YouTube network" Associated Press, May 02, 2013
GLENDALE, Calif. — DreamWorks Animation SKG Inc. is buying AwesomenessTV, a YouTube teen network, for about $33 million in cash as it looks to tap into the popularity of online content.
DreamWorks said Wednesday that AwesomenessTV founder and chief executive Brian Robbins will continue to direct growth at that company while also developing a DreamWorks branded digital family channel.
I hate to say it, but it will be brainwashing inculcation and indoctrination.
The deal includes the possibility of additional cash payments of up to $117 million if certain earnings targets are reached in 2014 and 2015.
The deal is expected to close this month.
AwesomenessTV features talk shows, scripted and reality programs, and sketch comedy. The company has released a movie with AMC Theaters and expects to have a television show on Nickelodeon.
After what occurred at the Boston Marathon, what with the drills going live at the first site (I'm still not sure about the second site, looks like a real one there, but I'm not omniscient) along with the "reality" programming, how can you tell the difference (never mind the clues in the video regarding 9/11)?
Its network of more than 57,000 YouTube channels has 14.4 million subscribers. The more than 1 million videos on the network have been seen 809 million times.
Benjamin Mogil, an analyst with investment bank Stifel, Nicolaus & Co., said in a research note that the purchase was ‘‘strategically prudent’’ and likely ends the possibility that DreamWorks will buy a pay TV channel as an outlet for the animated content from its franchises such as ‘‘Kung Fu Panda’’ and ‘‘Madagascar.’’ He said the acquisition will likely hurt DreamWorks’ earnings per share in the short term.
I must be dreaming in this age of golden profits that keep on rolling in.
Rachel Egan, a spokeswoman for ad-buying network TubeMogul, said the purchase ‘‘seems like a broad recognition by DreamWorks that their younger audience — like the rest of us — are increasingly streaming content online, on mobile devices and in social media.’’
And here I am reading newspapers and blogging away on this site (which hit an all-time high in hits yesterday. I THANK all of you who read something here and gave me that time).
The announcement came a day after DreamWorks announced quarterly earnings that beat analysts’ expectations on both revenue and profit, although both showed a decline....
That last part isn't good, and neither is the fact that I AM NOT GIVEN a DOLLAR AMOUNT for the latest reported profit!

Bees Are Buzzing in My Boston Globe
"Bees get a kick from caffeine, study says, March 08, 2013
NEW YORK — Talk about a caffeine buzz: A new study says that honeybees get a shot of caffeine from certain flowers and that it perks up their memory.
That spurs them to return to the same plant, boosting its prospects for pollination and the future of the species.
Maybe it should not be a surprise that one of the flowers is the coffee plant. Its nectar offers about as much caffeine concentration as a cup of instant coffee. But some citrus plants serve caffeine too. It is found in the nectar of orange and grapefruit blossoms.
The caffeine helps a bee remember that the flower’s scent promises a tasty payoff, so the bee will seek out those flowers, transferring their pollen, the researchers said.

"Drinks’ jolts of caffeine called a risk for military" by Stephanie Armour | Bloomberg News, November 09, 2012
WASHINGTON — US service members in Afghanistan who consumed three or more caffeine-charged energy drinks a day were prone to sleepiness and dozing off while on guard duty, according to a report.
Forty-five percent of those in Afghan combat areas in 2010 were daily users of energy drinks, some of which have the caffeine of one to three cups of coffee, the study said. The finding was published Thursday in the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Morbidity and Mortality Weekly report.
About 6 percent of adolescent and young males in the US civilian and military populations drink energy drinks each day, the report said. The products, such as those made by Monster Beverage Corp. and Red Bull, can have negative side effects, including caffeine intoxication, and have been the focus of an investigation by the Food and Drug Administration.
Related: Questions mount on energy drinks
‘‘Service members should be educated regarding the potential adverse effects of excessive energy drink consumption on sleep and mission performance and should be encouraged to moderate their energy drink consumption in combat environments,’’ wrote Robin Toblin, the study’s lead author.
Fourteen percent of service members surveyed consumed at least three energy drinks a day. They reported sleeping less, having more sleep disruptions from stress and illness, and falling asleep on guard duty and in briefings more frequently than those who had two or less of the drinks a day. They were also more likely to report sleeping less than four hours a night, on average.
Previous research found that 200 milligrams of caffeine, or one to two energy drinks, improved cognitive performance.

"Many factors found in American bee deaths" by John M. Broder | New York Times, May 03, 2013
WASHINGTON — The devastation of American honeybee colonies is the result of a complex stew of factors, including pesticides, parasites, poor nutrition, and a lack of genetic diversity, according to a comprehensive federal study published Thursday.
The problems affect pollination of US agricultural products worth tens of billions of dollars a year. The report does not place more weight on one factor over another, and it recommends a range of actions and further research.
Honeybees are used to pollinate many crops. Since 2006, millions of bees have been dying in a phenomenon known as colony collapse disorder.
Sometimes I think they are reading me.
Officials in the Department of Agriculture, the Environmental Protection Agency, and others involved in the study said there was not enough evidence to support a ban on one group of pesticides.

PHILADELPHIA — Get caught speeding? Running a red light? Leaving the scene of an accident? For years, it was no problem, authorities say — so long as you were in Philadelphia and knew the right people.
The city’s traffic court was the place where moving violations went to die, according to a federal indictment that charged nine judges with fixing tickets for friends, relatives, and business associates.
A ‘‘widespread culture of giving breaks on traffic citations’’ persisted in the city, federal prosecutors alleged, but only the well-connected got breaks.
Defense attorneys suggested that the judges made no money from the favors and that the court has worked that way for a century.
As if that justifies it?
The defendants include six current and former Philadelphia traffic court judges and three suburban judges who had stints at the court.

Parents Want Sexual Predator to Purchase Home in Pennsylvania
"Parents want molester to buy home" by Michael Rubinkam | Associated Press, March 22, 2013
ALLENTOWN, Pa. — The parents of a young Pennsylvania girl who was sexually molested by their neighbor have sued the man in a bid to force him to buy their house.
The child’s parents said they do not want to live next to Oliver Beck and ‘‘are under duress to move.’’ Their lawsuit, filed in Lehigh County Court in Allentown, said his presence is ‘‘ultra-hazardous given the close proximity’’ of Beck to the victim and their two other daughters.
Beck, 65, pleaded guilty in September 2011 to indecent assault of a child under 13 and was sentenced to three to 23 months in prison. After his release, he moved back to his home near Emmaus, about 55 miles north of Philadelphia.
The suit contends the plaintiff’s house is now ‘‘virtually unmarketable’’ because their neighbor is a registered sex offender.
They want Beck to buy their house for $350,000, which they say is the fair-market value plus fees and expenses related to moving to a new home.

It appeared the small bus, carrying passengers ranging from mid-20s to 92, entered the crossing and stopped on the tracks, said Evans City police Chief Joseph McCombs. The engineer sounded a horn and tried to stop the train, but couldn’t. The bus came to rest about 20 feet away but did not overturn.
Police were investigating whether dense morning fog contributed to the crash, which happened shortly after 8 a.m. in Evans City, about 25 miles northwest of Pittsburgh. The railroad crossing has no gates.

"Man held in Pa. subway attack" by Patrick Walters | Associated Press, January 19, 2013
PHILADELPHIA — A man has been arrested on charges he grabbed a woman by the feet and threw her onto the tracks at a Philadelphia subway station, police said. The woman got off the tracks on her own and had minor injuries.
Police announced the arrest Thursday, more than two days after the woman was assaulted about 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at a subway station in Chinatown.
The victim had been sitting on a bench when the man asked her what time the train was coming and requested a light for his cigarette, according to investigators. After she obliged and put the lighter back in her coat pocket, police said, the man grabbed her by the neck and punched her.
In the assault, caught on surveillance video, the man can be seen grabbing the victim by her feet, dragging her along the platform, and then throwing her on the tracks as she screamed. The suspect walked away with her cellphone, police said. The woman got back up onto the platform with bruises and cuts.
Police investigators and the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority said they did not release information about the attack until Thursday because they had identified the suspect by his distinctive jacket, which has one red sleeve, one aqua sleeve, and a Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resorts logo on it.
They said they did not want to compromise the investigation by giving a description.
Transit police chief Thomas Nestel called the decision not to release the description earlier ‘‘very, very difficult,’’ but said police thought it was their best chance and didn’t want him to take it off.

Reed had decided to ban the sale and display of assault weapons and high-capacity ammunition magazines after the elementary school shooting in Newtown, Conn.

May Day: Sandy Stirred Up Sewage Tsunami
Wanna go for a swim?
"Sandy dumped 11b gallons of sewage in waterways" by Geoff Mulvihill | Associated Press, May 01, 2013
Superstorm Sandy released 11 billion gallons of sewage from East Coast treatment plants into bodies of water from Washington, D.C., to Connecticut, according to a report released Tuesday by a science journalism group.
Princeton, N.J.-based Climate Central said that future sewage leaks are a major risk because rising sea levels can make coastal flooding more severe.
Related: No Sea Level Rise For The Past 50 Years
But who cares about real science when there is an agenda to push?
The group, which compiled data from state agencies and treatment plant operators, did not look at the specific environmental or public health impact of the sewage overflows after Sandy, which struck in late October. But it said that bacteria in sewage can spread water-borne illnesses and have a particularly bad effect on shellfish.
In New Jersey, officials spent months monitoring shellfish beds for contamination and reopened the last of them in mid-April, said Larry Hajna, a spokesman for the state Department of Environmental Protection.
After what happened in the Gulf of Mexico and Fukushima, I don't believe government officials when they say the food is safe.
The collective overflows — almost all in New York and New Jersey and due to storm surges — would be enough to cover New York City’s Central Park with a pile of sewage 41 feet high, Climate Central said.
About one-third of the sewage was not treated at all....
Meaning it was feces and urine and other disgusting things.

"Facing probe, Con Ed executives return Sandy bonuses" by George M. Walsh | Associated Press, May 01, 2013
ALBANY, N.Y. — Four top Con Edison executives have returned $614,400 in bonuses after Governor Andrew Cuomo called for an investigation into why they were rewarded while the state’s utilities are being probed for what he has called a woeful performance during Superstorm Sandy....
The bonuses were granted for guiding the company through ‘‘significant challenges in 2012,’’ including Sandy, other bad weather, and a strike, a proxy statement for Con Ed’s annual meeting said....

"China must do more to stop its latest bird flu" May 01, 2013
China’s annual “Golden Week” holiday, which started Monday, is a time for millions of Chinese to vacation in neighboring countries, boosting commercial activity and person-to-person contact. But with the rise in China of a new bird flu called H7N9, which has killed 23 people and infected over 120 more, and with one case now confirmed outside the Chinese mainland, Asian countries are also bracing for the potential outbreak of a highly lethal virus.
Time to get rid of the useless eaters because the banking system is collapsing?
Global health depends on China being as forthcoming with information as possible, so that other nations can take appropriate precautions.
That's rich coming from the AmeriKan newspaper.
Since the SARS outbreak a decade ago, China has learned that there is little benefit to keeping a virus hidden from international health officials and the public. By all accounts, including that of the World Health Organization, the Chinese government and state media have been more open about the spread and genetic makeup of the disease, encouraging citizens to share information. The Chinese government has also taken some preventative measures, going so far as to close down poultry markets.
Still, it remains unclear how the virus is being transmitted. More than half the patients have had no contact with poultry, and China believes that some cases were the product of human-to-human transmissions.
That seems to be a leap.
This week, the number of cases appears to have peaked, which could mean that China is succeeding in limiting further transmissions. Nonetheless, the new Chinese government could be doing more....
Meanwhile, the Chinese are in the best position now to come up with a vaccine, but would clearly benefit from seeking help from the United States, which has been successful at developing vaccines for flu strains in the past.
That i$ what thi$ i$ all about.
Of course, the best approach is to stop a virus in its tracks. China owes the rest of the world a full account of its efforts to isolate patients and ensure that infected people don’t spread the virus beyond its borders.
So do AmeriKan jewspapers on so many things.

"China, France urge no superpowers" Associated Press, April 26, 2013
BEIJING — President Xi Jinping of China and President Francois Hollande of France pledged to push for a world free of domination by any superpower Thursday as the French leader visited the Chinese capital to boost trade amid his country’s worsening economic problems.
It won't be long; the AmeriKan Empire is collapsing under the weight of militarism and the private central banking system it protects.
Both leaders stressed their desire for a ‘‘multipolar’’ world that would dilute Washington’s influence — though they did not mention the United States in their comments.
‘‘China and France are both great countries with a strong sense of independence,’’ Xi said at a news conference, adding that the two countries would ‘‘actively promote a multipolar world and the democratization of international relations.’’
Xi and Hollande, who is traveling with a delegation representing scores of French businesses, spoke to reporters after meeting at Beijing’s Great Hall of the People.
‘‘China and France both want a multipolar world. We want there to be a balance. We refuse a world of powers, and of superpowers,’’ Hollande said. ‘‘When China and France agree on a position, we can drive the world.’’
Officials from the two countries signed a deal for China to buy 60 planes from France-based Airbus. In addition, French nuclear giant Areva signed a pact with China National Nuclear Corp. to build a used fuel treatment and recycling facility in the country.
Yeah, only Iran can't have nuclear power.
French businesses are hoping for additional deals in China in areas including car making, nuclear energy, and food exports. France registered a $34 billion trade deficit with China last year and accounts for less than 2 percent of the Asian giant’s foreign trade.

"Bangladesh court orders confiscation of building owner’s assets" by Arun Devnath | Bloomberg News, May 01, 2013
DHAKA, Bangladesh — A Bangladesh court has asked the government to confiscate assets belonging to the owner of the factory complex that collapsed last week as hopes fade for more survivors after the nation’s biggest industrial disaster.
The property and assets belonging to Sohel Rana, owner of the eight-story Rana Plaza that collapsed, killing at least 387 people, as well as of four owners of garment factories in the complex should be seized, High Court judges Mirza Hussain Haider and Muhammad Khurshid Alam Sarkar said in a ruling Tuesday in Dhaka....
The collapse of the building in Savar last week is at least the third reported major industrial accident in the South Asian nation since November, when 112 people died in a fire at a workshop that was producing clothes for companies including Wal-Mart Stores. Protesters in and around Dhaka blocked roads and clashed with police last week demanding punishment for Rana, a member of the ruling Awami League political party’s youth wing.
Rescue efforts are continuing and no new survivor was found for a second day, according to supervisors. They have pulled 2,437 alive from the rubble. The government hasn’t provided estimates on how many are missing.
Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina Wajed on Monday visited the site, where hundreds are still waiting to learn the fate of family members....
After cracks were found in the building April 23, Rana forced workers to return to their posts and said it was safe as it was being checked by engineers, according to Mokhlesur Rahman, director general of the Rapid Action Battalion, an elite law-enforcement agency.
Rana’s wife and father were among the people arrested. The police have 15 days to interrogate Rana, according to a court order issued Monday....
About 300 factories employing as many as 500,000 people in the industrial belt of Ashulia, about 6.2 miles from Savar, suspended their production Tuesday after briefly resuming work in the morning as some workers stormed out calling for safe work environments, Atiqul Islam, president of Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association, said.

May Day: Ricin Case Becomes Outrageous
"Ricin residue linked to Miss. suspect" by Holbrook Mohr and Jay Reeves | Associated Press, May 01, 2013
TUPELO, Miss. — Ricin was found in the former martial arts studio of the man suspected of sending poison letters to President Obama and other public officials, and was also discovered on a dust mask and other items he threw in the trash, federal prosecutors said in a court document made public Tuesday.
The affidavit says an FBI surveillance team saw James Everett Dutschke remove several items from the studio in Tupelo, Miss., on April 22 and dump them in a trash bin about 100 yards down the street. The items included a dust mask that later tested positive for ricin, the affidavit said.
???????
Traces of ricin also were found in the studio and Dutschke used the Internet to buy castor beans, from which ricin is derived, the affidavit said.
Nothing like leaving a trail for the FBI to follow.
Annette Dobbs, who owns the small shopping center where the studio was located, said authorities padlocked the door to it. She said Tuesday that FBI agents have not told her anything, including whether the building poses a health threat....
Dutschke, 41, was arrested Saturday by FBI agents at his home in Tupelo, and is being held without bond pending a preliminary and detention hearing Thursday in US District Court in Oxford.
The FBI searched his home, vehicles, and studio last week, often while wearing hazardous materials suits. Attention turned to Dutschke after prosecutors dropped charges against an Elvis impersonator who says he had feuded with Dutschke in the past.
No name?
Dutschke said last week that he did not send the letters.

"Obama says FBI acted properly in bombing case; Backs handling of data, inquiry into Boston case" by Matt Viser and Bryan Bender | Globe Staff, April 30, 2013
WASHINGTON — “One of the dangers that we now face are self-radicalized individuals who are already here in the United States — in some cases, may not be part of any kind of network, but because of whatever warped, twisted ideas they may have, may decide to carry out an attack,” President Obama said on Tuesday at a White House press conference....
Yeah, your s*** policies has nothing to do with it, nor do government-sponsored false flags or hoaxes. They are just doing it to themselves.
Obama said that for “months’’ before the April 15 bombings, he had been asking his counterterrorism team what more could be done to identify and prevent such a domestic threat. He appeared to suggest a solution might be closer cooperation with organizations on American soil, while also acknowledging the potential for civil-liberties concerns....

Some specialists have said a focus of the new intelligence investigation must be how much the FBI told officials in Massachusetts about the Tsarnaev family beginning in 2011.
The Globe reported last week that the Boston Regional Intelligence Center and the Commonwealth Fusion Center in Maynard, which are supposed to serve as clearinghouses for information about potential terrorist threats, were unaware that the FBI interviewed Tsarnaev as part of a three-month investigation.
That's because he was working for them.

Tired of the bulls*** yet?
“Did the FBI tell the Boston cops? If they didn’t that’s the problem,” said Michael Scheuer, a retired CIA intelligence officer and specialist on Islamic radical groups. “If it turns out the FBI didn’t tell the cops it’s nothing but arrogance and incompetence combined. I have tried to give the benefit of the doubt to the FBI, but that question needs to be answered.”
This guy is great. He's a "former" CIA agent whose main mission is to reinforce the 9/11 myth. Oh, he'll criticize the U.S. relationship with Israel to make it all look good, but at bottom he's an agenda-pusher.
The FBI has said watchlist information and investigative records about Tsarnaev were available to local officials through Boston’s Joint Terrorism Task Force, which is made up of representatives from local, state, and federal agencies.
General Martin Dempsey, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, told reporters he sees two potentially significant lessons from the bombings. If it turns out that the older Tsarnaev had links to Chechen terrorist groups or operatives, he said, US officials will have to pay more attention not only to Chechnya but to other hotbeds of Islamic terrorists that have not been traditionally viewed as threats to US soil.
Translation: this scripted and staged production was meant to expand the wars and empire.
But even if that is the case, it means officials must look more closely at the self-radicalization process at home, Dempsey said. Officials have said the Tsarnaev brothers may have downloaded bomb-making instructions from the Internet, and Tamerlan Tsarnaev maintained a YouTube account featuring radical Islamic videos.
Anyone can set up a JouTube account, and those bomb-making instructions came from the CIA-Duh magazine Inspire.

“There is this . . . global effort to take some of our more vulnerable, notably Muslim young men and women in a direction counter to our values,” Dempsey said, “and it bears increased interest, it seems to me, in the aftermath of the Boston tragedy.”
Some terrorism specialists have already begun to rethink their views of the significance of the homegrown threat after the April 15 attacks.
This is SUCH AGENDA-PUSHING CRAP!
“It is a case like this that brings home that radicalization takes place within American communities,” said Robin Simcox, a London-based researcher for the Henry Jackson Society, an international affairs think-tank based in London.

“We’re not going to be intimidated,” he added. “We’re not going to stop living our lives because warped, twisted individuals try to intimidate us.’’

Nothing murky about insulting Muslims:
"Bombing suspect’s wife to allow family to claim his body" by David Filipov, Todd Wallack and Lisa Wangsness | Globe Staff, April 30, 2013
The widow of suspected marathon bomber Tamerlan Tsarnaev said Tuesday she would let other family members claim his body, which has been kept at the Massachusetts Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for more than a week.
Under Islamic law, Muslims are customarily buried shortly after they die, normally within a day. But Tamerlan Tsarnaev’s widow, Katherine Russell, has not claimed the body and the state refused to release the body to other family members without her permission.
In an emotional interview Tuesday, Tamerlan Tsarnaev’s father, Anzor, had complained that officials were not allowing the family to bury him.
“The body should have been buried,” Anzor Tsarnaev said by telephone from Russia. “What else can you do with a dead body?”
Authorities say Tamerlan Tsarnaev, 26, and his brother, Dzhokhar, 19, planted the two bombs that exploded near the Boston Marathon finish line on April 15, killing three people and wounding more than 260, and fatally shot an MIT police officer on April 18. Police say Tamerlan was killed as the brothers attempted to escape from police.
Sorry, folks, but I'm sick of boiled down bulls***.
Russell’s lawyers said Tuesday evening that she had “just been informed” that the body was available, several hours after the Globe asked about Anzor Tsarnaev’s complaint.
“It is Katherine Russell’s wish that his remains be released to the Tsarnaev family, and we will communicate her wishes to the proper authorities,” said a statement from her attorney, Amato DeLuca of DeLuca & Weizenbaum in Providence, R.I.
The Office of the Chief Medical Officer had yet to hear from Russell directly as of Tuesday evening, spokesman Terrel Harris said. But Harris said the office will release the body to other family members with her permission.
Btw, that reminds me: did they ever get Dykes out of the bunker?
Russell’s lawyer also said that she “will continue to meet with law enforcement, as she has done for many hours over the past week, and provide as much assistance to the investigation as she can.”
The statement came a day after FBI agents visited Russell in North Kingstown, R.I., where she has been staying with her parents. FBI agents were seen carrying bags when they left.
The FBI has been eager to interview Russell to find out what she knows about the bomb plot. The agency also wanted to collect a DNA sample from Russell to compare with female DNA found on a bomb fragment, according to media reports.
Anzor Tsarnaev, who last week told news agencies that a heart condition and high blood pressure had made him unfit to travel to Boston, said on Tuesday said that he will make the trip if he has assurances that he can meet with Dzhokhar, who is an inmate at a federal medical center at Fort Devens.
Whatever keeps you out of the clutches of the AmeriKan government. Wouldn't want him to meet with an unfortunate accident or illness.

“They said I can’t see him,” Tsarnaev said in Russian. “If I knew I could see him, I would be there tonight.”
Translation: he loves his son
Chris Burke, a spokesman for the Federal Bureau of Prisons, declined to comment on Tsarnaev’s assertion.
The Federal Bureau of Prisons normally allows inmates to receive a limited number of visits from family and friends who have been cleared by prison staff. Typically, the agency says, an initial visiting list, including immediate family members, is set up within the first few days of a prisoner’s arrival.
But it can often take longer to arrange family visits for cases involving people accused of murder and other serious violent crimes, said David Fathi, director of the American Civil Liberties Union’s National Prison Project, which advocates for the rights of prisoners.
In this case, the process may be further complicated by the fact that the elder Tsarnaev is living overseas, is not a native English speaker, and may not fully understand the procedures needed to arrange a visit.
Tsarnaev expressed sadness about the bombings, even as he dismissed the charges against his sons as a fabrication. He said he had left his home in Dagestan for another part of Russia, which he did not disclose, with his ex-wife, Zubeidat Tsarnaeva.
He sees it, she sees it, we see it, the whole world sees it.

My jewspaper even tells me she is a Nazi.
Tsarnaev complained that his relatives were having trouble claiming Tamerlan’s body, apparently not realizing that his son’s widow was required to first give them permission.
Or the government was just making it difficult for them since none of his injuries match the government tale.
On Tuesday, an uncle of the Tsarnaev brothers contacted Al-Marhama, a non-profit Muslim funeral and burial service, for help with funeral arrangements for Tamerlan Tsarnaev, said Ismail Fenni, assistant imam of the Islamic Society of Boston mosque in Cambridge.
Al-Marhama notified Fenni, who said he called the uncle and assured him that people affiliated with the Cambridge mosque, where the brothers occasionally prayed, would be willing to assist.
“I know many of the members of our community want to help,” he said. “We feel for the family. They obviously are going through a hard time.”
Fenni said mosques typically do not handle funerals and burials. Families are referred to funeral homes, he said, and, often with the help of volunteers from the community or Al-Marhama, the body is cleansed and shrouded in preparation for burial. The Islamic Society of Boston Cultural Center in Roxbury, which is owned by the same organization as the Cambridge mosque but run separately, also has facilities for preparing bodies for burial.
Fenni said the uncle had no details about the family’s wishes. Fenni did not know whether Tamerlan’s body would be shipped overseas or buried here, or what kind of service the family wants, if any.
The Tsarnaevs have not contacted the cultural center, Boston’s largest mosque. If asked, Imam William Suhaib Webb would refuse to pray over Tamerlan Tsarnaev’s body, said Yusufi Vali, executive director of the cultural center.
But both Webb and Fenni say it is the Muslim community’s obligation to bury its dead.

“The deceased is still a human being, and from the humanitarian side, we have to at least give him the rite of burial, regardless of what he has done,” Fenni said.

"3 charged with conspiring to obstruct justice, making false statements" by John R. Ellement, Todd Wallack, Maria Sacchetti, Matt Carroll and Martin Finucane | Globe Staff, May 01, 2013
Two men from Kazakhstan and a man from Cambridge were arrested and charged today in the Boston Marathon bombings investigation, federal prosecutors said.
Azamat Tazhayakov and Dias Kadyrbayev, both 19 and of New Bedford, were charged with conspiracy to obstruct justice by plotting to dispose of a laptop computer and a backpack containing fireworks belonging to bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the US attorney’s office said in a statement.
Then WHO GAVE THEM the MATERIAL for the PRESSURE COOKER BOMBS then?
Which CIA handler or FBI informant set them up?
Robel Phillipos, 19, of Cambridge was charged with making false statements to law enforcement officials in a terrorism investigation, prosecutors said.
All three were, or had been, students at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, where Tsarnaev, 19, was also a student.
Tazhayakov and Kadyrbayev face maximum sentences of five years in prison and a $250,000 fine. Phillipos faces a maximum sentence of eight years and a $250,000 fine, prosecutors said.
At a brief initial appearance this afternoon in US District Court in Boston, Tazhayakov and Kadyrbayev waived their right to a bail hearing. They will appear in court again May 14. In a separate hearing, Phillipos also waived his right to a bail hearing. Another hearing was slated in his case for Monday.
Phillipos’s attorney, Derege Demissie, said Phillipos had nothing to do with the actions of Tazhayakov and Kadyrbayev and had simply made a “misrepresentation” to authorities.
Tazhayakov, Kadyrbayev, and Phillipos all began attending UMass Dartmouth together at the same time in 2011 and were all friends with Tsarnaev.
The trio told investigators that Kadyrbaev removed Tsarnaev’s backpack, which contained fireworks that had been opened and emptied of gunpowder, from Tsarnaev’s dorm room on the evening of April 18, shortly after the FBI released photos of the two bombing suspects (which the FBI later identified as Dzhokhar Tsarnaev and his brother, Tamerlan), according to an affidavit by Special Agent Scott Cieplik attached to the complaint.
Which wouldn't make as explosive a bomb as we were told was used, but hey, when you are throwing so much shit at the wall it can be hard to keep track.
Kadyrbayev and Tazhayakov both admitted they agreed to throw away the backpack after concluding from news reports that Dzhokhar Tsarnaev must be one of the bombers. Kadyrbayev decided to remove the backpack from Tsarnaev’s room “to help his friend Tsarnaev avoid trouble,” the affidavit said.
If you think I am believing anything this government swears to you are a new reader. Welcome!
Kadyrbayev allegedly later threw the backpack in a dumpster at the New Bedford apartment complex where Kadyrbayev and Tazhayakov lived.
The backpack was taken away by a garbage truck, but was recovered last week inside a black garbage bag by the FBI at a New Bedford landfill, the affidavit said.
Oh, well, then it all must be true!
PFFFFT!
They REALLY ARE MAKING THIS UP as they GO ALONG!
The affidavit also alleged that Phillipos changed his story, saying at first that he had never gone to Tsarnaev’s dorm room but in a fourth interview admitting that the three had gone to the room and taken the backpack. He said he had discussed with the two others what to do with the backpack but had fallen asleep and, upon awaking, discovered the backpack was gone.
If THAT is a CRIME, then the U.S. GOVERNMENT and MOUTHPIECE MEDIA are GUILTY as HELL!
The backpack, when it was found, contained fireworks, a jar of vaseline, a UMass Darmouth homework assignment sheet from one of Tsarnaev’s classes, and other items, the affidavit said.
After ALL the PLANTED EVIDENCE we have seen in case after case in AmeriKa they REALLY DON'T EXPECT US TO BUT THIS SHIT anymore, do they?
Or do they just not care and want to put the big pile of s*** out there anyway?
Kadyrbayev told investigators he decided to take Tsarnaev’s laptop as well because he did not want Tsarnaev’s roommate, who was there when the trio stopped by, to think he was stealing or behaving suspiciously by just taking the backpack, the affidavit said. It wasn’t immediately clear from the affidavit what happened to the laptop computer.
The FBI searched Tsarnaev’s dorm room several days later, finding BBs, a large pyrotechnic and a black jacket and white hat matching those worn by one of the two bombing suspects in surveillance footage, the affidavit said.
Kadyrbayev first met Tsarnaev after starting college in fall 2011 and became closer friends with him in the spring 2012, often socializing with him and even meeting with Tsarnaev’s family at Tsarnaev’s home. Tazhayakov also became friends with Tsarnaev at UMass Dartmouth in fall 2011, the affidavit said.
Tsarnaev is facing federal charges of using a weapon of mass destruction and malicious destruction of property resulting in death in the twin bombings that struck near the Marathon finish line on April 15. His brother, Tamerlan, 26, was killed in a confrontation with police in Watertown several days afterward as the two tried to flee the area. Police say they were trying to subdue him after a shootout when his brother ran him over in a desperate escape.
And anyone who has been following this case knows that is all boiled-down, background bullshit.
Authorities say the Tsarnaevs also killed an MIT police officer as they tried to escape. No charges have been filed yet in that case.
That's because they didn't do it. Some government agent or hit man did it to get the Boston PD in a frenzy.
The White House and law enforcement authorities have previously suggested that the Tsarnaevs may have acted alone without clear ties to foreign governments or terrorist groups.
But investigators have continued to eye other people who knew the brothers to see if they provided them with any help before or after the attacks. Shortly after the brothers were identified, investigators questioned Tazhayakov, Kadyrbayev, and a third college friend of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev.
Before the criminal charges were announced today, Tazhayakov and Kadyrbayev appeared before a federal immigration judge this morning on charges they overstayed their student visas.
And they want to expand such things under the gui$e of immigration reform.
Lawyers for the men said at the hearing the men had cooperated with Homeland Security and FBI investigators for hours and were only college buddies with Dzhohkar Tsarnaev and should be released.
Translation: they are being FRAMED and RAILROADED by this government so they can maintain the scripted narrative.
The men were being detained in the Suffolk County jail and appeared before Judge Steven F. Day via videoconference, wearing prison scrubs, from the jail. The consul of Kazakhstan, other representatives, as well as US government officials were in the court.
The hearing marked the men’s first court appearance since immigration officials arrested and jailed them 11 days ago in New Bedford.
Oh, those were the guys they picked up but wouldn't tell us who they were.
The hearing raised questions about why the men were allowed to stay in the United States if their visas were allegedly invalid.
Well, oh what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive.
Kadyrbayev, who had studied engineering, was dismissed from UMass after the fall semester, but stayed in the United States. His lawyers argued that he should be allowed to leave the United States voluntarily. A hearing on Kadyrbayev’s case will be held on May 22.
Tazhayakov, an economics major, had his visa terminated on Jan. 4, but he was allowed to reenter the country on Jan. 20 in New York, the judge said in court. The discrepancy puzzled Judge Day. “That doesn’t make any sense,” he said. Day set a bail hearing for Tazhayakov for May 9.
It does if they were U.S. GOVERNMENT ASSETS and AGENTS!
A UMass Dartmouth official confirmed Kadyrbayev was no longer enrolled in school while Tazhayakov was still registered for classes.
The Tsarnaev brothers lived in Kyrgyzstan, which neighbors Kazakhstan. People in both countries speak Russian because they all lived in the former Soviet Union, where the official language was Russian.
The UMass Dartmouth campus, still reeling after learning that Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was a sophomore here, had more bad news to absorb today.
“It’s kind of hard to digest that students who came here to study could do such a thing,” said Raja Nageswaran, 25, an MBA grad student.
Especially when they didn't.
He said the two Kazakhs came to the off-campus housing he shared with other international students a few times for parties. He remembers they played pool with his roommates. One came more frequently than the other, but he is not sure which one. On one occasion, Tsarnaev also attended.
The last time the Kazakhs were at a party was in October, before Halloween, he said. Nothing much stood out, although the Kazakhs liked to drive their black BMW hard, making it squeal, he said. He knew them only through mutual friends.
What were poor immigrant college kids doing with a BMW?
The school has several hundred international students, he said, who tend to bond a little because they are internationals. “They were definitely fun-loving. That stood out. They loved to party,” he said.

What a LIAR!

Now he is interested!

Some terrorism specialists have already begun to rethink their views of the significance of the homegrown threat after the April 15 attacks.
This is SUCH AGENDA-PUSHING CRAP!

Meanwhile, the top Democrat and Republican on the Senate Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee vowed Tuesday to hold oversight hearings. They said a critical issue is whether federal and local agencies properly shared and followed up on information before the attack.
Obama also lauded the response by Boston residents in the face of the shocking bombings at a cherished event.
He liked the mindless worship of the police state.
“Everybody can take a cue from Boston,’’ he said. “You don’t get a sense that anybody is intimidated when they go to Fenway Park a couple days after the bombing. There are joggers right now, I guarantee you, all throughout Boston and Cambridge and Watertown.

And a good kid, too. Don't believe all the garbage being shoveled by the collaborative and complicit ma$$ media, folks.

"Obama displays contradictory views on his troubled relationship with Congress" May 01, 2013
WASHINGTON — President Obama needled a GOP senator Tuesday, then praised Republicans working to solve the immigration riddle. He cast Republicans as potential allies, then criticized their obstruction.

The limits of Obama’s success with Congress have dogged his presidency since Republicans won control of the House in 2010. Yet moments before, he offered a scornful response to an assertion by Senator Lindsey Graham, Republican of South Carolina, that national security protections have deteriorated since he became president....

"Obama renews his effort to close Guantanamo" by Charlie Savage | New York Times, May 01, 2013
WASHINGTON — President Obama said Tuesday that he would recommit himself to closing the Guantanamo Bay prison, a goal that he all but abandoned in the face of congressional opposition in his first term and that faces steep challenges now.
‘‘It’s not sustainable,’’ Obama said at a White House news conference. ‘‘The notion that we’re going to keep 100 individuals in no man’s land in perpetuity,’’ he added, makes no sense. ‘‘All of us should reflect on why exactly are we doing this? Why are we doing this?’’
Describing the prison as a waste of taxpayer money that has had a damaging effect on US foreign policy, Obama said he would try again to persuade Congress to lift restrictions on transferring inmates....
How about letting them all go seeing as they are all innocent? Everyone in the world knows Muslims didn't do 9/11; Israel and her helpers in various western governments and intelligence agencies did. For some reason, media always seems to miss the links.
But there is no indication that Obama’s proposal to close the prison in Cuba, as he vowed to do upon taking office in 2009 after criticizing it during the presidential campaign, has become any more popular. Obama remarked that ‘‘it’s a hard case to make’’ because ‘‘it’s easy to demagogue the issue.’’
The plan for Guantanamo he proposed — moving any remaining prisoners to a supermax-style prison in Illinois — was blocked by Congress, which barred any further transfers of detainees onto domestic soil.
A spokesman for Senator Mitch McConnell of Kentucky, the Republican Senate leader and one of the leading opponents of closing the prison, said on Tuesday that ‘‘there is wide, bipartisan opposition in Congress to the president’s goal of moving those terrorists to American cities and towns.’’
As if they were going to be released into the community!
Obama made his remarks following the arrival at the prison of more than three dozen Navy nurses, corpsmen, and specialists to help deal with a mass hunger strike by inmates, many of whom have been held for more than 11 years without trial.
Oh, THAT is WHY he's out there calling for closure. It's making him look bad!
As of Tuesday, 100 of the 166 prisoners were officially deemed to be participating, with 21 now being force-fed a nutritional supplement through tubes inserted in their noses.
“I don’t want these individuals to die,’’ Obama said.
Not that way anyway.
Both conservatives and civil libertarians said that under existing law, Obama could be doing more to reduce the number of low-level detainees held at the prison.
The chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, Representative Howard P. McKeon, Republican from California, said the Obama administration had never exercised the power it has had since 2012 to waive, on a case-by-case basis, most of the restrictions lawmakers have imposed on transferring detainees to countries with troubled security conditions.
Really? He doesn't seem to have a problem sending out executive orders on other things.
‘‘For the past two years, our committee has worked with our Senate counterparts to ensure that the certifications necessary to transfer detainees overseas are reasonable,’’ McKeon said. ‘‘The administration has never certified a single transfer.’’
Human rights groups also urged Obama to direct the Pentagon to start issuing waivers, and said he should appoint a White House official to run Guantanamo policy with the authority to resolve interagency disputes.
For example, because of disagreements over evidence tainted by torture, the administration has missed by more than a year a deadline to begin parole-style hearings by so-called Periodic Review Boards....
It is not only tainted, it is inadmissible and absolutely useless.
Obama was ambiguous about one of the most difficult problems raised by Guantanamo: what to do with dozens of detainees deemed too risky to release but not feasible to prosecute. His policy has been not to release those prisoners, but to continue to imprison them indefinitely under the laws of war — just somewhere else.
And here he is out there lecturing the world about human rights!

Some change.
Yet at another point, Obama appeared to question that policy at a time when the war in Iraq has ended, the one in Afghanistan is winding down and the original makeup of Al Qaeda has been decimated....
Tell the people in Iraq the war has ended as "Al-CIA-Duh" hits them with car bombs ever day. Afghanistan seems far from winding down, in fact, it's picking up, and if "Al-CIA-Duh" is decimated why are they in Syria?
But hey, what's a few more distortions and deceptions in a newspaper that is full of them every day?

"BULL BISCUITS! Obama doesn't really want to close Guantanamo. Guantanamo is a military base and Obama is the Commander in Chief. He can close it with a single order. But that is not what Obama wants. Not only are many of those people in Guantanamo innocent of any wrongdoning, but now it is known that the government has known they were innocent all along but did not release them to save embarassment. That agenda has not changed. Worse, some of those prisoners have been tortured even worse than waterboarding. So releasing them to be interviewed by the world press would only reinforce the global opinion that the United States has become the Fourth Reich. But Obama did promise to close Guantanamo back in 2008, so now he has to pretend he is trying! But Guantanamo will remain open until all those "live liabilities" are dead and unable to tell the story of what happened to them." -- What Really Happened

"Obama displays contradictory views on his troubled relationship with Congress" May 01, 2013
WASHINGTON — President Obama needled a GOP senator Tuesday, then praised Republicans working to solve the immigration riddle. He pledged to reengage with Congress to close the US detention facility in Guantanamo Bay, then decried the intractability of Congress. He cast Republicans as potential allies, then criticized their obstruction.

Then he is schizophrenia?

I'd rather not.
The limits of Obama’s success with Congress have dogged his presidency since Republicans won control of the House in 2010. A fiscal ‘‘grand bargain’’ containing tax increases and long-term spending reductions has eluded him. The automatic budget cuts that he once vowed ‘‘will not happen’’ kicked in March 1....

Now I'm budgeting my time.
During his 47-minute appearance in the White House briefing room, Obama’s answers illustrated the complicated and sometimes contradictory approach he has taken in his dealings with lawmakers.
At one point, he complimented Republican senators he has met with, saying they appear to have a ‘‘genuine desire’’ to get beyond the gridlock of Washington. Yet moments before, he offered a scornful response to an assertion by Senator Lindsey Graham, Republican of South Carolina, that national security protections have deteriorated since he became president....
He was dismissive when a questioner asked: ‘‘Do you still have the juice to get the rest of your agenda through this Congress?’’
‘‘If you put it that way,’’ he told ABC’s Jonathan Karl, ‘‘maybe I should just pack up and go home. Golly.’’
Good idea!

I'm sorry, folks. I've kind of tuned out the president these days. I hear and see enough bulls*** as it is.
