Mapping the Mind of Obama

I'd really rather not because people in power seem pretty psychopathic and psychotic, and he really seems to be no different. He may be a more telegenic and nicer war criminal, but he's still a war criminal.

"Obama proposes $100m for brain-mapping project" Associated Press, April 03, 2013

WASHINGTON — President Obama on Tuesday proposed an effort to map the brain’s activity in unprecedented detail, as a step toward finding better ways to treat such conditions as Alzheimer’s, autism, stroke, and traumatic brain injuries.

He asked Congress to spend $100 million next year to start a project that will explore details of the brain, which contains 100 billion cells and trillions of connections.

That’s a relatively small investment for the federal government — less than a fifth of what NASA spends every year just to study the sun — but it’s too early to determine how Congress will react.

Obama said the so-called BRAIN Initiative could create jobs, and told scientists gathered in the White House’s East Room that the research has the potential to improve the lives of billions of people worldwide.

‘‘As humans we can identify galaxies light-years away,’’ Obama said. ‘‘We can study particles smaller than an atom, but we still haven’t unlocked the mystery of the three pounds of matter that sits between our ears.’’

Or what makes certain people war criminals that murder millions or looters that are the stealers of trillions.

Obama wants the initial $100 million investment to support research at the National Institutes of Health, the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, and the National Science Foundation. He also wants private companies, universities, and philanthropists to partner with the federal agencies in support of the research.

Yes, MORE MONEY to be PUMPED into the MILITARY-INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX in this TIME of AUSTERITY!

Doesn't take much of a brain to see that.

"President backs law changes in Colorado for gun control

DENVER —Obama noted that more than 100 days have passed since the shooting rampage that killed 20 first-graders and six adults at an elementary school in Newtown, Conn., and reignited the national debate over access to guns....

I'm tired of throwing spitballs, readers.

See: The Sandy Hook Shooting

Did you see what I saw?

In danger of losing congressional momentum Obama went to Colorado to use its example and public pressure to prod Congress to act.

Hmmmmmmmmm!

It's all connected.

Colorado suffered two of the worst mass shootings in US history — at Columbine high school in 1999 and at a movie theater in Aurora last year. It recently expanded background checks and placed restrictions on ammunition magazines.

Yes, there are still all sorts of unanswered questions that are never even thought of regarding the psy-op known as Columbine.

But the conventional myth and media narrative stays intact.

Prospects for passage of similar measures by Congress appear bleak, largely because of concerns by conservative Republicans and moderate Democrats who come down more on the side of gun rights.

"Obama walks fund-raising tightrope" April 05, 2013

ATHERTON, Calif. —  President Obama courted well-heeled donors in California on a two-day fund-raising jaunt....

Obama’s California swing kicked off a concerted effort to help his party win back the House and keep its Senate majority next year. It is a mission that, if successful, would improve his playing field and help him secure his legacy during his final two years in office, a lame-duck period in which a president’s influence quickly ebbs.

Obama struck a careful balance Thursday, telling donors at a luncheon in Silicon Valley that he would continue to reach out to Republicans to advance the interests of the middle class and those aspiring to join it....

He told who?

Obama’s appearance at the lunch, where supporters paid $1,000 to attend or $5,000 for a photo with the president, capped a four-event fund-raising blitz that started Wednesday in San Francisco, where Obama raised $3.25 million for the House Democrats’ campaign committee....

My Globe cut the meal short (must be in honor of Michelle Obama and her obesity campaign):

White House officials are mindful of the balancing act Obama must carry out to avoid undermining relations with Republican lawmakers when he hits the campaign trail for Democrats

I'm so $ick of the political games, in more ways than one.

Obama sought to drive that point home on Thursday to an intimate gathering of donors who paid $32,400 per person to attend a brunch in the ritzy town of Atherton, near Stanford University, benefiting the Democratic National Committee.

But he's appealing to you, middle-class voter.

Although political gridlock continues to be “a great source of frustration” for him, Obama said, Americans are not as divided as Washington makes it seem

Oh, THAT is FOR SURE! We want an end to the empire, the Wall Street bastards jailed, and a good, decent, single-payer health care system, not crappy corporate Obamacare.

“Our policies, the ones that we presented, traditionally would be considered pretty bipartisan,” Obama said. “There’s nothing particularly Democratic about road-building or basic science or environmental protection.”

Those are the issues he pointed to? Pffft!

Picking it back up again:

Democrats need to pick up 17 seats next year to regain control of the House — no small feat, considering that a president’s party tends to lose House seats in the midterms during a second term.

In the Senate, Democrats are defending 21 seats, including seven in largely rural states where Republican Mitt Romney defeated Obama last year. Republicans must flip just six seats to claim the majority.

So what else is on his mind as he travels around the country campaigning?

"Obama apologizes to California AG" April 06, 2013

WASHINGTON — President Obama called the California attorney general late Thursday and apologized to her for saying that she was the ‘‘best-looking attorney general in the country.’’

Uh-oh. Michelle's not going to be happy to see that.

Obama made the comment Thursday morning at a fund-raiser outside San Francisco. He praised Kamala Harris as being ‘‘brilliant,’’ adding, ‘‘she is dedicated and she is tough’’ before commenting on her looks. ‘‘She also happens to be by far the best-looking attorney general in the country,’’ the president told the wealthy donors, who responded with surprise and applause.

Yeah, it was no big deal when he said it.

There was a quick reaction on social media sites, with some people accusing Obama of being sexist and others defending his comment as harmless.

The president’s aides apparently knew the potential for political damage. Soon after Air Force One returned Obama from his West Coast fund-raising trip, he called Harris and apologized, according to Jay Carney, the White House press secretary....

While Harris did not seem offended, others were. Robin Abcarian wrote on the website of The Los Angeles Times that the comment was ‘‘more wolfish than sexist,’’ and ‘‘may be a little problem he needs to work on.’’ Joan Walsh wrote on Salon: ‘‘Those of us who’ve fought to make sure that women are seen as more than ornamental — and that includes the president — should know better than to rely on flattering the looks of someone as formidable as Harris.”

Harris, 48, was elected to the statewide office in 2010 after serving two terms as district attorney of San Francisco. She is the first woman to hold the post. Her name has come up as a possible candidate for governor or even for the US Supreme Court if another seat is vacated during Obama’s second term. She has been an ally of the president’s, speaking at the Democratic National Convention that renominated him last year.

And then -- believe it or not -- the article turns itself to issues of the gay persuasion.

Well, we know where his mind is at.

I know he is being compared to JFK, but I don't see it. There are comparisons, certainly JFK's administration ran covert actions and he's resistance to a ground invasion of Vietnam wouldn't preclude air bombings (use of napalm actually began under JFK) like those Obama used and is using in Libya and around the world.

On the other hand, JFK had grown after the CIA outrages and presentation of Operation Northwoods. JFK would have seen the 9/11 inside job for what it was. He would have stood up to Israel and the banks. And he would never have condoned torture.

I see none of this in Obama, in fact, he has done nothing but throw in with them. He's nothing more than figurehead enjoying the perks and status of office and his acceptance into the Grand Club.

I would have to be a mind reader to have known this because my printed paper never said a word.

So despite all the phony, s***-show, political fooleys the president wants to cut Social Security.

How about cutting off aid to Israel, or tax subsidy checks to profitable corporations, or cost overrun charges paid to war profiteers, or how about retracting the God-damn empire for a change?

Hello? Anyone in there? Or are you just not listening?

NEXT DAY UPDATE:

"Obama says plan for budget is practical" Associated Press,  April 07, 2013

WASHINGTON — President Obama said Saturday that his soon-to-be released budget, already criticized by friends and foes, is not his ‘‘ideal plan’’ but offers ‘‘tough reforms’’ for benefit programs and scuttles some tax breaks for the wealthy....

Some details, made public Friday, drew a fierce response from liberals, labor unions, and advocates for older Americans. House Speaker John Boehner, Republican of Ohio, was not impressed, either....

Obama made no mention of the effect his budget would have on Social Security and other social safety net programs in his weekly radio and Internet address.....

Yup, government promises to pay debts are sacrosanct, government promises to investors are iron clad, CEO contracts and government administrators are locked in, yet labor contracts can be reopened, and now the Social Security compact has been broken -- after the government stole all the money and replaced it with IOUs.
