Obama's Green Giveaway

"The plan would cost billions, and Obama and congressional supporters would have to find a way to fund it"

This guy is tossing around more money than a drunken sailor.

"Consumer perks are included in proposal" by Reuters | March 31, 2009

Oh, "perks" are they? I'm so sick of the elite insults.

WASHINGTON - President Obama ordered tough steps yesterday to restructure General Motors Corp. and Chrysler LLC, but he also offered plans to boost sales and reassure consumers.

How come I'm not feeling it?

The centerpiece: proposed legislation that would give consumers a voucher worth between $3,000 and $5,000 toward a new, fuel-efficient car in exchange for a poorer performing older model. Such a program was scuttled in Congress last year, but has been credited with turning around sales in Europe. The plan would cost billions, and Obama and congressional supporters would have to find a way to fund it.

Pffffffffftttt!!!!

WHERE you think that $$$ is coming from, taxpayers?

That wallet empty yet?

The administration also plans to accelerate the purchase of fuel-efficient vehicles for the federal fleet and further aid auto finance companies to stimulate lending.

Obama said the IRS would alert consumers to a new program that allows them to deduct sales taxes on new cars. And, he said, the government will back warranties on GM and Chrysler cars. "Your warranty will be safe," Obama said.

Yeah, it's just the country that won't be because of the debt to which this guy is oblivious.
