Around AmeriKa: No Class in New York City

I don't understand this first article. He is only doing what our leaders do.

"N.Y. teacher accused of making boys fight" by Associated Press | February 3, 2010

NEW YORK - A teacher at a New York City public school has been charged with turning his fourth-grade classroom into a fighting ring.

Joseph Gullotta told two of his pupils, ages 9 and 10, to settle an argument with a classroom fight, the office of Queens District Attorney Richard Brown announced yesterday.

I have to admit, it is an educational experience in AmeriKa.

Kids learning about adukthood.

One of the pupils suffered a cut lip, and the other sustained a bruised and swollen head during the Jan. 28 incident at P.S. 65 in the Ozone Park neighborhood, prosecutors said.

Hey, people get killed and maimed in war; you don't hear anyone making a big deal out of that and the lies that led us there.

Well, you do, but....

After the boys began fighting, prosecutors said, Gullotta told a third pupil to close the classroom door. He allegedly instructed the other pupils to give the boys room to fight.

When Gullotta sent one of the boys to the school nurse two periods later, authorities said, he told him to lie and say he bumped into another pupil while trying to pick up a pencil from the floor. The nurse later summoned the other boy, prosecutors said.

Another lesson learned from government and our leaders!

Authorities said they learned about what happened after one of the boys’ parents overheard him talking about it.

Gullotta and Abraham Fox, a teacher’s aide who prosecutors say witnessed the incident, are charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor. If convicted, each faces a maximum of one year in jail.

So what's the charge for sending them into wars based on lies?

The men were arraigned in Queens Criminal Court on Saturday. A judge released them on their own recognizance. They’re scheduled to return to court Feb. 25.

Gullotta, 29, has been reassigned outside the classroom, said a Department of Education spokeswoman, and Fox, 43, has been suspended without pay.

And talk about going overboard:

"NYC student, 12, arrested for doodling" by Associated Press | February 6, 2010

NEW YORK - A New York City junior high student was arrested for doodling on her desk with a marker.

Kids have been doing that FOREVER!!

Twelve-year-old Alexa Gonzalez scribbled “Lex was here 2/1/10’’ on her desk Monday in Queens. She also wrote “I love my friends Abby and Faith.’’ The girl said the doodles could have been erased.

Moraima Camacho said her daughter was released several hours after she was taken in handcuffs to a police station.

Are you effin' s***ting me?

Education department spokesman David Cantor said the incident should not have happened and that common sense should prevail.

Gonzalez has been assigned eight hours of community service, a book report, and an essay on what she learned from the experience.

I learned I live in a fascist society.

Whadda ya mean "here come the cops again?"
