"China calls for patience in nuclear talks with Iran" by Desmond Butler and David Rising, Associated Press | February 6, 2010
MUNICH - China’s foreign minister yesterday urged the world to be patient and keep up diplomatic efforts with Iran to try and find a solution to Tehran’s nuclear ambitions.
Well, you know.
That must have ticked off USrael.
Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi told a gathering of the world’s top defense officials at the Munich Security Conference, in its 46th year, after Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki decided to join the meeting at the last minute.
Oh, now I best they were really steamed!
It was not clear whether Mottaki would attend the entire three-day conference....

BEIJING - China lashed back yesterday at President Obama’s vow to get tougher in currency disputes, saying criticism is unhelpful and insisting exchange controls are not to blame for its trade surplus.
Obama’s comments Wednesday could add to strains with Beijing amid tensions over US arms sales to Taiwan, Internet censorship, and a possible Obama meeting with the Dalai Lama.
See my China labels for more.
“The exchange rate of the renminbi is not the major reason for the Chinese-US trade deficit,’’ Foreign Ministry spokesman Ma Zhaoxu said, referring to China’s currency, which is also known as the yuan.
No, it's the effect of globalization and the shipping of American factories there.
Washington and other Chinese trading partners say the yuan is kept undervalued, giving China’s exporters an unfair price advantage and swelling its trade surplus.
Besides, who can blame them for defending their national security in the economic realm? I BLAME MY OWN LEADERS for FAILING to PROTECT OURS!
“We hope the US side could objectively and rationally see a number of problems in the Chinese-US economic and trade cooperation and appropriately deal with them via negotiation,’’ Ma said at a regular news briefing. “Criticism and pressing obviously is not helpful to solving problems.’’
Well, that's us all over, world, sorry.
China reported a $196 billion global trade surplus last year....
Yeah, because NEARLY EVERYTHING is "Manufactured in China" these days!
