Putting Out the Fires in Worcester

Hot fire below, huh?

Big head, little head, doesn't matter, just as good.

Let God sort it out; just rid the planet of this filth.

So many good people being wiped out by wars; just stack the perverts up alongside.

"Firefighter charged with child rape; Prosecutors may add new charge" by Worcester Telegram & Gazette | March 5, 2010

WORCESTER - Worcester Firefighter Jeremy E. O’Connell was ordered held on $35,000 bail yesterday during his arraignment on a child-rape charge. Prosecutors said O’Connell may face another charge.

O’Connell, 34, was arrested Wednesday by Detective Laura J. Laliberte. He was charged with one count of rape of a child with force and open and gross lewdness. He was arraigned in Central District Court in Worcester.

Looking somber and wearing what appeared to be Fire Department-issue pants, O’Connell said little during his brief court appearance. A not-guilty plea was entered. O’Connell’s attorney, Tom Vukmirovits, said his client is surprised by the charges and “wholeheartedly denies them,’’ the Associated Press reported.

In requesting bail, Assistant District Attorney Joseph J. Reilly III said authorities expect to charge O’Connell with another count of child rape, this one out of West Boylston. In a news release, police identified the child involved in yesterday’s charges as a 7-year-old who knew O’Connell. Police said that the alleged assault occurred within the past six months, and that O’Connell’s arrest was the result of an ongoing investigation by Worcester police detectives, the state Department of Children and Families, and representatives of Worcester District Attorney Joseph Early’s office.

Fire Chief Gerard A. Dio said O’Connell, a firefighter at the Webster Square station, has been placed on unpaid leave.

O’Connell joined the Fire Department in 2001, according to the newspaper’s archives.

Did he get pictures?

"Photographer charged with child pornography; Worcester police search his home" by Scott J. Croteau, Telegram & Gazette Staff | March 29, 2010

WORCESTER — A photographer who apparently runs a studio out of his Brownell Street home is to be arraigned in court today on possession of child pornography and other charges.

Police searched the man’s home on Friday and “discovered several thousand photographs of young females, possibly early teens, in various stages of undress,’’ according to a department statement.

According to police, Michael A. Liu, 40, was arrested Friday after a 17-year-old woman told police she was photographed nude by Liu during a five-hour photo shoot. The woman told police Liu took sexually explicit photographs.

Detectives from the city’s Special Crimes Unit obtained a warrant and searched Liu’s home shortly after 11 p.m. Friday, seizing thousands of photographs. The pictures appear to be of young women who are nude, police said. Authorities are trying to determine their identities as the investigation continues.

Can I not read any more, dear readers?

I'm sick of the newspapers, and one regional daily in particular.

“There appears to be hundreds of different females who had posed for these photographs,’’ police said in the statement. “At this time investigators have yet to examine all of the evidence due to the large volume of inventory. In addition, there are many apparent victims whose identity is unknown at this time.’’

Police said Liu’s home was used as a modeling studio, which was set up in the living room.

“Mr.Liu portrayed himself as a professional photographer and managed to get the girls to his home for modeling sessions. However, Mr. Liu is not a professional photographer,’’ police said.

Liu was charged with posing a child in a state of nudity, possession of child pornography, and disseminating child pornography. He was released after posting $5,040 cash bail Saturday and is scheduled to be arraigned in Central District Court today. Liu’s Facebook page lists a website where people can view his photographs. Some of the photographs are of Liu in the nude and others show pictures of vacations he has taken.

Yeah, I'd get off the FaceBooK right now.

There are about 30 photo slideshows of women either scantily clad or nude. People visiting Liu’s Facebook page are told, “If you want to see my work, visit my page, do not contact me if you are under 18 years of age.’’

So did the girls lie to him, or.... ??
