The Boston Globe's Sanction Censorship

I'll let you know when the cut comes.

"Iran dismisses sanctions, but tried to avoid them" by Edith M. Lederer, Associated Press Writer | June 9, 2010

UNITED NATIONS --
The U.S. and its allies scored a long-sought victory Wednesday by pushing through new U.N. sanctions over Iran's nuclear program....

Was it a victory?

See: Russia and China Pull the Persian Rug Out From Under Usrael

That means NO WAR with IRAN, doesn't it?

The sanctions target Iran's powerful Revolutionary Guard, ballistic missiles and nuclear-related investments. Oil exports, the lifeblood of Iran's economy, are not affected because targeting them would have cost the U.S. essential support from Russia and China.

So the resolution was oiled, I mean, watered down.

President Barack Obama said the sanctions are the toughest Iran has ever faced. They required several months of difficult negotiations by the five veto-wielding permanent U.N. Security Council members -- the U.S., Russia, China, Britain and France -- and non-member Germany. This is the fourth round of sanctions aimed at getting Iran into serious discussions on its nuclear ambitions.

"Actions do have consequences, and today the Iranian government will face some of those consequences," Obama said. He left the door open to diplomacy but said Iran "will find itself more isolated, less prosperous and less secure" unless it meets its obligations under the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty.

Sorry, ISRAEL is ALREADY OCCUPYING that SPOT (as well as Palestine).

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, on an official visit in Tajikistan, dismissed the new resolution....

Tehran insists its program is peaceful and aimed at producing nuclear energy. The U.S. and its allies say....

They get enough print.

Iran's U.N. Ambassador Mohammad Khazaee accused the United States, Britain and their allies of abusing the Security Council to attack Iran.

"No amount of pressure and mischief will be able to break our nation's determination to pursue and defend its legal and inalienable rights," Khazaee said. "Iran is one of the most powerful and stable countries in the region and never bowed -- and will never bow -- to the hostile actions and pressures by these few powers...."

U.S. Ambassador Susan Rice dismissed Khazaee's statement as "ridiculous ... reprehensible."

Condoleezza's sister?

The resolution was approved by a vote of 12-2 with Lebanon abstaining and Brazil and Turkey voting "no."

The sanctions put Iran in the unusual position of bashing key allies China and Russia.

The OIL is still flowing, 'eh?

Both countries voted for the resolution and either could have vetoed it....

And that is where my printed paper chopped it.

Israel shakes down China

Analysts believe Beijing and Moscow came on board after direct intervention by Barack Obama, the US president, and a pledge to water down the resolution and possibly other concessions some of which might be kept secret for long."

So watered-down they really mean nothing.

Russia Reverses on S-300 Missile Sale to Iran

Less than 24 hours after the Russian Foreign Ministry insisted that the long-delayed sale of the S-300 missile defense system to Iran was still on track and that the UN Security council sanctions did not apply to the defensive missiles. Today, Russia has reversed that position entirely, and the Kremlin says that the sanctions actually do forbid the sale. Prime Minister Vladimir Putin insists that the sale has been frozen."

Either the attack is off or Russia has been bought off.

So what did the Globe snippers leave on the floor?

In Moscow, the Itar-Tass news agency reported that Ahmadinejad will not take part in the summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in Uzbekistan beginning Thursday. The group was created in 2001 to address religious extremism and border security in Central Asia, and has grown into a bloc aimed at defying U.S. interests in the region.

Meaning ISRAEL'S INTERESTS!!!!

Amazing how something like that doesn't make my Zionist paper, huh?

Ahmadinejad is scheduled to tour the World Expo in Shanghai this week, but is not expected to hold talks with senior Chinese leaders.

First I have seen of that in my paper since it opened.

Iran holds more leverage over China, which needs Iran's oil and gas to feed its growing energy appetite, than it does over Russia, which has long provided important technology to Iran including building the country's first nuclear reactor. The facility is expected to begin electricity production this summer....

That is RIDICULOUS! It is a MUTUALLY-BENEFICIAL FRIENDSHIP!

The resolution also calls on all countries to cooperate in cargo inspections -- which must receive the consent of the ship's flag state -- if there are "reasonable grounds" to believe the cargo could contribute to the Iranian nuclear program....

Oh, so ANY NATION can pull a FLOTILLA on an Iranian ship, huh?

WWIII right ahead!

Israel's ambassador to the United States, Michael Oren, said the resolution "can serve as a viable platform" for nations to launch sanctions such as restrictions on Iran's ability to import gasoline....

Some more for him right here.

Iran also approached several non-permanent Security Council members, including Bosnia, Brazil, Turkey and Uganda, in hopes of averting new sanctions. Inviting diplomats from all 15 members of the Security Council to a two-hour dinner in New York in May was seen as Iran's high-profile attempt to head off additional penalties.

Don't worry; it was just for show for the arrogant USraeli a**holes.

China's U.N. Ambassador Li Baodong said after the vote that the sanctions were aimed at curbing nonproliferation and would not affect "the normal life of the Iranian people" nor deter normal trade activity, a view echoed by Russia's U.N. envoy Vitaly Churkin.

Yeah, you wouldn't want that in your war-promoting propaganda sheet you call a newspaper, New Englander.

The five permanent council members and Germany, in a statement after the vote, reaffirmed their "determination and commitment to seek an early negotiated solution to the Iranian nuclear issue ... which would restore international confidence in the peaceful nature of Iran's nuclear program." It welcomed and commended "all diplomatic efforts in this regard, especially those recently made by Brazil and Turkey."

After stiffing their efforts?

PFFFFFTT!

Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva said the new sanctions were "a mistake" implemented "just for spite."

And we know FOR WHOM as well.

"Construction set for nuclear plant

TEHRAN — Iran’s nuclear chief says his country will begin construction of a new uranium enrichment plant, a defiant announcement days after the UN approved tougher sanctions.

You mean, LIKE ISRAEL?

Ali Akbar Salehi is quoted by the official IRNA news agency as saying construction will start by March. Iran has approved plans for 10 new enrichment facilities that can process uranium gas into fuel for nuclear power plants. The United States and other nations fear Iran’s expansion of the technology because it can also be used to make material for nuclear warheads. Iran denies such an aim (AP)."

If they were seeking weapons why would they announce this?

Better throw something at the wall quick, 'eh, MSM?

"Anniversary of disputed Iran vote passes quietly" by Ali Akbar Dareini, Associated Press Writer | June 13, 2010

TEHRAN, Iran --
The one-year anniversary of Iran's disputed election passed quietly Saturday with little more than a subdued Internet appeal by opposition leaders for supporters to speak out on the Web against government repression.

Yeah, the soft CIA coup attempt failed.

Fearing bloodshed and calculating that it would gain them nothing, the movement's leaders called off a day of mass protests, reflecting their increasing powerlessness against the government's military muscle. Witnesses and the opposition reported a few isolated confrontations in the capital....

The retreat from Iran's streets and university campuses to the Web is certain to be seen as a victory for the ruling hard-liners and for the armed forces that preserved their grip on power with a harsh crackdown on postelection protesters.

The anniversary passed with no signs of major disturbances or large public gatherings. Witnesses reported sporadic but minor clashes....

At Tehran's Sharif University of Technology, students scuffled with hard-liners and plainclothes paramilitary personnel on campus, according to the website of Mir Hossein Mousavi, a former prime minister who maintains he was robbed of the presidency through fraud in the June 12, 2009, election. "Liar, liar," students chanted in a denunciation of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

We feel that way about our president here in AmeriKa.

Security forces arrested a political ally of Mousavi, Davoud Roshani, and labor union activist Reza Shahabi, Kaleme.com reported.

Authorities were also seen taking one person away near the entrance of Tehran University, where no gatherings were allowed to form, another witness said.

A top police official, Ahmad Reza Radan, said a small number of people were arrested in Tehran, but gave no details, the semiofficial ISNA news agency reported.

In some Tehran neighborhoods after nightfall, people went to their rooftops and shouted "Allahu akbar," or "God is great," reprising a cry of protest from last year's unrest.

Hundreds of police were deployed at main junctions in the capital. The government warned that any unauthorized gatherings would be harshly confronted.

The scene was in stark contrast to a year ago.

Then, hundreds of thousands took to the streets to protest alleged fraud, which they said deprived them of a Mousavi presidency that might have brought a measure of political and social change....

Based on the last 16 months experience here in AmeriKa (and elsewhere across the Globe) that never works -- and sometimes gets worse.

"Iran cleric calls for ‘special weapons’" by Ali Akbar Dareini, Associated Press | June 15, 2010

TEHRAN — European Union foreign ministers agreed yesterday to recommend a package of additional sanctions against Iran that go beyond the UN measures.

Are you guys going to give Israel a blow job as well?

Those sanctions would focus on trade, especially on dual-use items that could have nuclear applications.

But that crap just flows to Israel which HAS NUCLEAR BOMBS!!!

They also would further restrict insurance and financial transactions.

Ayatollah Mohammad Taqi Mesbah Yazdi, the hard-line spiritual mentor of Iran’s president, [and his] hard-line views, including devotion to the Mahdi, a messiah-like figure to reappear ahead of judgment day, have had a strong impact on President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who shows him more respect than any other senior cleric....

And who will BRING PEACE!

Yeah, look how the Zionist MSM has tried to portray Iran as a SUICIDE NATION!

We are SOOOO TIRED of the BULLSHIT PROPAGANDA!!!!

“The most advanced weapons must be produced inside our country even if our enemies don’t like it. There is no reason that they have the right to produce a special type of weapons, while other countries are deprived of it,’’ Yazdi wrote.

Actually, WHO COULD BLAME THEM after seeing what happened next door in Iraq compared with, say, North Korea!?!

AmeriKan message to the world: the NON-NUCLEAR STATE is INVADED over LIES while the NUCLEAR STATE has been SPARED!

Yazdi is a member of the Assembly of Experts, a conservative body of 86 senior clerics that monitors Iran’s supreme leader and chooses his successor. He also heads the Imam Khomeini Educational and Research Institute, an Islamic think tank, in the holy city of Qom, 80 miles south of the capital.

As opposed to the ZIONIST ONES that DOMINATE AmeriKa?!?!

In his book, Yazdi said Iran must acquire the necessary deterrent weapons in order to stand up to its enemies.

Key word: DETERRENT!

That means DEFENSIVE, folks!!!

“Under Islamic teachings, all common tools and materialistic instruments must be employed against the enemy and prevent [the] enemy’s military superiority,’’ he said.

He also said Muslims must not allow a few powers to monopolize certain weapons in their arsenal.

Yeah, they must be building a bomb, huh?

So when does the AmeriKan bombing begin?
