LONDON — The inquests into the deaths of 52 commuters in the suicide bombings on London’s transit system in 2005 will look at whether failures by British spies and police contributed to the attacks, a judge ruled yesterday.

Kinda a kick in the head, huh?

It is a victory for victims’ families, who want to know whether the bombings could have been prevented had security services followed up on leads pointing to the unfolding plot....

Kind of difficult when the SAME PEOPLE that are supposed to PREVENT such things are CARRYING THEM OUT!!!

"Harrods store sold to Qatari investors

LONDON — Mohamed Al Fayed, a flamboyant businessman who has controlled Harrods department store in London for a quarter-century, has sold the landmark business to Qatari investors, his financial advisers said yesterday. The sale price was not announced, but the BBC and Sky News reported that it was around $2.2 billion. Fayed, a native of Egypt, joined with his two brothers to buy Harrods in 1985. His son Dodi died with Princess Diana in a car crash in Paris in 1997 (AP)."

"Fish ’n’ chips? I’ll just take the grease; Cooking oil can be distilled into lower-cost fuel" by Howard Mustoe, Bloomberg News | June 6, 2010

LONDON — Biodiesel, a fuel derived from vegetable oil....

Biodiesel from recycled cooking oil isn’t the only innovation cabbies are using.

Stuff stinks; I used to work in a kitchen so I know.

Twitter service tweetalondoncab, which began in July, is being used by some cab drivers to find customers and avoid the fees of the cab circuit.

PFFFFFT!

Tweetalondoncab’s 40 cab drivers use their phones to post information of where fares can be found, such as recently finished concerts or exhibitions and receive requests from potential customers.
