FBI Looking For Lost Filling

Don't worry, FBI; Globe will cover it (up) for you.

"FBI seeks Bulger leads in dentists’ offices; Clean teeth were a must for girlfriend" by Shelley Murphy, Globe Staff | June 10, 2010

That blonde with a Boston accent who gets her teeth cleaned once a month is not just committed to good hygiene. She’s the devoted girlfriend and traveling companion of fugitive gangster, James “Whitey’’ Bulger. Now, the FBI hopes Catherine Greig’s vanity leads agents to the 80-year-old Bulger — a fixture on the FBI’s 10 Most Wanted list who has eluded capture for more than 15 years.

The FBI posted an ad with photos of Greig, 59, a certified dental hygienist, and the gray-haired Bulger in the American Dental Association’s newsletter in May, urging dentists across the United States to be on the lookout for the couple, known to pass themselves off as retirees.

“Have you treated these fugitives?’’ read the ad in the dental association’s Daily News. Greig had several porcelain dental crowns and had her teeth cleaned monthly before she fled, and possibly received dental implants while a fugitive, according to the FBI.

“It’s a creative way of getting pictures out in places we’ve never tried before and to make these photographs go far-reaching,’’ said Gail Marcinkiewicz, a spokeswoman for the FBI’s Boston office.

In a story that ran with the photos in the association’s newsletter, Richard Teahan, a supervisory FBI agent who coordinates the multiagency Bulger Task Force, said, “Based on [Greig’s] pattern of living prior to flight, she was extremely concerned about her teeth.’’

The FBI’s appeal came a month after the bureau took out a full-page ad in the April-May edition of Plastic Surgery News, asking plastic surgeons worldwide: “Have you treated this woman?’’

In that ad, the FBI told plastic surgeons that Greig had previously had breast implants, a face lift, liposuction, and eyelid surgery, raising the possibility that she might be looking to replace the implants she received in 1982 or get a makeover.

Bulger, a longtime FBI informant, fled before his January 1995 federal racketeering indictment in Boston and is wanted in 19 murders in the 1970s and 1980s. The FBI is offering a $2 million reward for his capture.

"FBI tries its ad seeking Bulger in Military Times" by Shelley Murphy, Globe Staff | June 11, 2010

Fugitive gangster James “Whitey’’ Bulger was kicked out of the US Air Force, but the FBI says he obtained a fake military identification card before he fled Boston and may be lurking around military bases.

Yeah, I guess that would be the LAST PLACE the military would look!

"The Department of Defense admitted in a letter obtained by NBC News on Thursday that it had wrongly added peaceful demonstrators to a database of possible domestic terrorist threats. The letter followed an NBC report focusing on the Defense Department’s Threat and Local Observation Notice, or TALON, report....

TALON reports provide “non-validated domestic threat information” from military units throughout the United States that are collected and retained in the Cornerstone CIFA database. The reports include details on potential surveillance of military bases, stolen vehicles, bomb threats and planned antiwar protests....

What antiwar protests?

"Talon reports grew out of a program called Eagle Eyes, an anti-terrorist program established by the Air Force Office of Special Investigations.... A Pentagon spokesman recently described Eagle Eyes as a "neighborhood watch" program for military bases"

Then they HAVE FOUND their FILLING, right?

The FBI placed an ad in the May 24 issue of The Military Times, featuring photos of Bulger, 80, and his girlfriend, Catherine Greig, 59, under the headline, “Have You Seen This Couple?’’

Can you TAKE this article seriously anymore?

****************

Gail Marcinkiewicz, a spokeswoman for the FBI’s Boston office, declined to provide details about Bulger’s military identification. She said the ad is part of a recent strategy by the FBI to make Bulger and Greig recognizable to people who may cross paths with them.

“We’re looking for avenues to have his picture reach worldwide,’’ said Marcinkiewicz, pointing out that US military personnel travel widely. She said the FBI’s Bulger ad appeared in all of the Military Times newsweeklies, which include Army Times, Navy Times, Air Force Times, and Marine Corps Times.

Pfft!

Who reads MSM weekly magazines (or newspapers) anymore?

I GO TO BLOGS and FOREIGN NEWS SOURCES if I want to find out what is REALLY GOING ON in this world!

While Bulger’s affinity for military history prompted the most recent ad, Greig’s fastidiousness about her appearance recently led the bureau to alert dentists and plastic surgeons to be on the lookout for her.

YOUR TAX DOLLARS at WORK, Americans -- trying to find their mole in the Boston Mob.

Yeah, yeah, I know all about it; they even have their own newspaper now.

The FBI posted an ad last month with photos of Greig, a certified dental hygienist, and Bulger in the Daily News, the American Dental Association’s newsletter, warning dentists to look out for the fugitives. The FBI said Greig has several porcelain dental crowns and likes to have her teeth cleaned once a month.

Well, we know one guy she doesn't want to schedule for appointment.

The FBI attracted international media attention with an ad it placed in the April-May edition of Plastic Surgery News, asking plastic surgeons if they had treated Greig, who had breast implants, liposuction, a face lift, and eyelid surgery before she fled, raising the possibility that she may have sought more work.

Bulger, a longtime FBI informant, fled before his January 1995 federal racketeering indictment in Boston and is wanted in 19 murders in the 1970s and 1980s. The FBI ia offering a $2 million reward for his capture.

That seemed familiar, huh?

A longtime former Bulger associate, who spoke on the condition he not be named, said he doubted the elderly Bulger would hang around military bases, but believes he is probably hiding in Europe.

Yeah, they WOULD HAVE HAD HIM in their TALONS by NOW!!!

He said the Military Times ad indicates the FBI wants “to catch him before he dies.’’

Like a GAME of HIDE-and-SEEK?!!!!
