SARAJEVO, Bosnia-Herzegovina — Angelina Jolie has questioned Bosnia’s decision to withdraw her film permit, saying yesterday that it was based on false rumors that her movie will be a love story about a Bosniak woman and a Serb man who raped her during the country’s war.
How much tax loot are they getting for filming there?
But the actress, and two members of her film crew in Sarajevo, declined to say what the plot of her directorial debut will be, and that could make it difficult to allay the concerns of the movie’s main opponents: Bosnia’s wartime rape victims....
The movie was supposed to be shot partly in Bosnia in November, but Sarajevo’s culture minister, Gavrilo Grahovac revoked the permit this week under pressure from the Association of Women, Victims of War, which represents the several thousand mainly Muslim Bosniak women who were raped during Bosnia’s 1992-95 war....
No wonder they are taking to wearing the veil.
Sarajevo producer, Edin Sarkic, said he resubmitted the movie permit application to Grahovac on Wednesday, along with a full script, and expects the minister to grant a new permit.
Bakira Hasecic, the leader of the Association of Women, Victims of War, said she has not read the script.
But “from what I heard, it is about a victim in a rape camp falling in love with her rapist, and that’s not only impossible but the idea is insulting,’’ she said.
She said, “We, the victims, do not want to be portrayed that way and we complained.’’
In the immediate aftermath of the war, the issue of mass rape during the conflict was taboo.
Then 9/11 is a massive rape of the American people.
But the victims then came forward and formed the association that fights for their rights in the courts and defends their dignity in public.
That can NOT BE Muslim women, not from what I have read in my newspapers!
The lobby has grown so strong that rarely any official in Bosnia dares to confront it.
Look, America, it is Bosnia's version of the Israeli lobby!
In her statement, Jolie said: “The choice to make a film about this area and set in this time in history was also to remind people of what happened not so long ago and to give attention to the survivors of the war.’’
Is that why Hollywood churns out so many movies with Nazis in them?

PRISTINA, Kosovo — At least seven people, including a former senior health ministry official, are suspected of involvement in an international network that falsely promised poor people payment for their kidneys and then sold the organs for as much as $137,000, according to a European Union indictment obtained by the Associated Press.
The indictment is the starkest revelation of the extent of organized crime in the country since Kosovo declared independence in 2008.
The organized criminal group trafficked people into Kosovo for the purpose of removing human organs for transplant, EU prosecutor Jonathan Ratel said in the indictment. Some 20 foreign nationals “were recruited with false promises of payments’’ in 2008, he wrote....

According to the indictment obtained Thursday, the victims came from Moldova, Kazakhstan, Russia, and Turkey and lived in “extreme poverty or acute financial distress.’’
The EU prosecution has made requests to secure evidence from authorities in Canada, Germany, Kazakhstan, and Turkey, including access to e-mails of two suspects on servers in the United States.
Five Kosovo nationals, including Ilir Rrecaj, a former senior health ministry official, have been charged with five counts ranging from trafficking in persons to unlawful exercise of medical activity and abuse of power. None of the suspects is in custody.
Two others — Turkish doctor Yusuf Sonmez and Israeli citizen Moshe Harel — are listed as wanted by Interpol. Sonmez is the subject of several criminal proceedings in other countries, including Turkey, for human trafficking and removal of organs, according to the indictment.
“Both Sonmez and Harel are fugitives from justice,’’ the indictment said.
The prosecution alleges that one of the five, Kosovo surgeon Lutfi Dervishi, was the ringleader of the criminal group....
Harel was involved in “identifying, recruiting, and transporting victims’’ and “ensuring the delivery of cash payments by electronic bank transfer’’ prior to surgery, the indictment said....
Another two doctors, Israeli national Zaki Shapira and Turkish national Kenan Demirkol, are identified in the 46-page document as “unindicted co-conspirators.’’
The fact that Israelis are at the center of this doesn't surprise me at all.

Kosovo police launched a raid triggered by suspicions that a Turkish man had sold his kidney to an Israeli recipient after he appeared fatigued at the Pristina airport trying to board a flight to Turkey.
The man, identified in the indictment as Yilman Altun, told Kosovo police at the airport he came to the Balkan country to donate his kidney on invitation from the private clinic.
When police searched the clinic in November 2008, they found an Israeli citizen in postoperative care, according to the indictment. Police seized medical records and supplies....
Soon after the raid, the Belgrade-based daily newspaper Blic alleged that Dervishi was linked to allegations that members of the Kosovo Liberation Army kidnapped Serb civilians and killed them for their organs, which they later sold.
The allegations of the trade stemmed from a book by former UN war crimes tribunal prosecutor Carla Del Ponte, who claimed that organ harvesting took place in Albania’s remote north.
Not exactly some "conspiratorial radical."
Subsequent investigations did not substantiate the claims....
Translation: It was covered up (like you would a corpse).

JERUSALEM - Israel has admitted that in the 1990s, its forensic pathologists harvested organs from dead bodies, including Palestinians, without permission of their families.
And there is NO REASON to believe they have stopped!!!
The issue emerged with publication of an interview with the head of Israel’s Abu Kabir forensic institute at the time, Dr. Jehuda Hiss. The interview was conducted in 2000 by an American academic, who released it because of a huge controversy last summer over an allegation by a Swedish newspaper that Israel was killing Palestinians in order to harvest their organs. Israel hotly denied the charge.
Then it must be true!
Parts of the interview were broadcast on Israel’s Channel 2 TV over the weekend. In it, Hiss said, “We started to harvest corneas . . . Whatever was done was highly informal. No permission was asked from the family.’’
This has to be one of the MOST EVIL OPERATIONS I have EVER HEARD!!
The Channel 2 report said that in the 1990s, forensic specialists at Abu Kabir harvested skin, corneas, heart valves, and bones from Israeli soldiers and citizens, Palestinians, and foreign workers, often without permission from relatives.
So that is why FOSSILS like Kissinger, Rockefeller, et al, live so long, huh?
I'm surprised the ORGANS don't REJECT the RECIPIENTS in this case!!!
In a response to the TV report, the Israeli military confirmed that the practice took place. “This activity ended a decade ago and does not happen any longer,’’ the military said in a statement quoted by Channel 2.

During a town hall meeting in Sarajevo, a Bosnian Serb student had asked Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton to explain the contradiction of advocating against secession for Serbs in Bosnia but for secession for Kosovo. She said she did not see the two cases as comparable.
Western officials say Serbia lost its right to rule Kosovo when it committed wartime atrocities against ethnic Albanians; they also contend that Bosnian Serbs lost their right to secede when they committed atrocities during the war in Bosnia.
As if Serbs had no atrocities perpetrated against them.
NATO's depleted uranium bombs is one I can think of right off the top of my head.
But many Serbs clearly do make the comparison, and therein lies the rub for the United States and its European Union allies, as they seek to encourage a Serbian government that is, by all accounts, the most pro-Western and proreform government this country has ever had, while recognizing Kosovo’s independence against Serbian wishes....
Yeah, HYPOCRISY is HARD WORK!

1. The FBI was advised of this organ trafficking ring SEVEN YEARS AGO by a totally credible source (a university professor) and it's MUCH larger than a single potential transaction.
2. Law enforcement in Brazil and South Africa acted immediately on the information and went after the criminals.
3. This was not just organ dealing. It was organ stealing. Impoverished people were flown in and told if they didn't go through with the deal, they'd be shot. Some had no idea the details of what they'd agreed to. Organs were "bought" for $10,000 and re-sold for $150,000 and more. It took the FBI SEVEN YEARS to get themselves in gear and get an indictment.
