Skipping Through Somalia: Showing the Somalis How It's Done

The United States announced last month a new approach to Somalia that will see continued US support of the transitional government but also new, direct support of other groups and regions in Somalia. The approach includes increased support to the semiautonomous Somali regions of Somaliland and Puntland.

Can you imagine a foreign power (outside Israel) coming to AmeriKa and trying to break it up, and the reaction?

And the U.S. has just the man for the job!

Somalia's Parliament yesterday approved a Somali-American as the country's prime minister, but some are already questioning whether he will be able to make a difference in the war-ravaged country under attack from Al Qaeda-linked militants....
