Wikileaks Target: Russia

It means you are an enemy on Israel's list and should be honored:

"Cables portray Putin a slacker, Reports assail his ‘work ethic’; Corruption in Russia decried" by C.J. Chivers,  New York Times / December 2, 2010

NEW YORK — Officially, the United States has sought since last year what President Obama and his Russian counterpart, Dmitry A. Medvedev, have called a “reset’’ in relations. But scores of secret US cables from recent years, obtained by WikiLeaks and made available to several news organizations, show that beneath the public efforts at warmer ties, the United States harbors a dim view of the post-Soviet Kremlin and its leadership, and has little hope that Russia will become more democratic or reliable....

In the secret US description, official malfeasance and corruption infect all elements of Russian public life — from rigging elections, to persecuting rivals or citizens who pose a threat, to extorting businesses.

Same here in AmeriKa.

The corruption was described as a drag on the nation of sufficient significance to merit the attention of Medvedev and Putin, who, paradoxically, benefited from cronies who orchestrate graft but otherwise support the Kremlin....

The embassy wrote of a “three-tiered structure’’ in Moscow’s criminal world, with the mayor at the top, the police and intelligence officials at the second tier, and those regarded as a municipality’s predators — “ordinary criminals and corrupt inspectors’’ — at the bottom.

In this world the government effectively was the Mafia.

Welcome to AmeriKa.

Other cables described how Western businesses sometimes managed to pursue their interests....

You know, companies like BP.

So what does the slacker have to say for himself?

"Putin responds to leaked documents, cautioning US; Russian leader interviewed on ‘Larry King’" by Ellen Barry, New York Times / December 2, 2010

MOSCOW — Prime Minister Vladimir V. Putin responded yesterday to criticism of Russia revealed in US diplomatic cables published by the website WikiLeaks, warning Washington not to interfere in Russian domestic affairs.

His comments, made in an interview broadcast on CNN’s “Larry King Live,’’ referred to a cable that said “Russian democracy has disappeared’’ and described the government as “an oligarchy run by the security services,’’ a statement attributed to the American defense secretary, Robert M. Gates....

AmeriKa.

King, whose program is carried around the world, has long had a reputation for softball questions.

I'll bet Putin hit 'em out of the park.  I wouldn't know because I no longer watch CNN or any other cable news.

So Putin’s decision to appear on the show allowed his voice to be heard both in the United States  and abroad while avoiding being challenged on contentious topics like his own grip on power and the limits on human rights in Russia.

That's why you go on Larry King Live. Everyone knows it!

In the interview, Putin also warned that Russia will develop and deploy new nuclear weapons if the United States does not accept its proposals on integrating Russian and European missile defense forces — amplifying a comment made by Medvedev in his annual state of the nation address Tuesday.

“We’ve just put forward a proposal showing how jointly working, tackling the shared problem of security, could share responsibility between ourselves,’’ he said. “But if our proposals will be met with only negative answers, and if on top of that additional threats are built near our borders as this, Russia will have to ensure her own security through different means,’’ including “new nuclear missile technologies.’’

Putin said Moscow would like to avoid this situation.

“This is no threat,’’ he said. “We are simply saying this is what we expect to happen if we don’t agree on a joint effort.’’

Dmitri V. Trenin, director of the Carnegie Moscow Center, said according to this plan Russia would shoot down missiles flying over its territory toward Europe, and NATO would shoot down missiles flying over European territory toward Russia, he said.

NATO’s proposals for cooperation are less ambitious, and some members remain mistrustful of Russian involvement, he said.

Putin appeared relaxed in the hourlong interview with King....

He played down the impact of the WikiLeaks release and went on to suggest that the cables might be fakes.

Israel and AmeriKa have done that before.

Russians have reason for mistrust:

"Russia objects to NATO plan to defend Baltics; Leaked memo reveals strategy" by Slobodan Lekic, Associated Press / December 8, 2010

BRUSSELS — According to confidential US cables released by WikiLeaks, NATO privately decided in January to expand a defense plan for Poland to also cover NATO members Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania, which border Russia.

The release of the cables is an embarrassment for both Russia and the alliance because it comes at a time of reconciliation between the former Cold War rivals, when both sides have been emphasizing how close their relations have become....

And CUI BONO?

In a cable posted on the WikiLeaks website, the US State Department told its embassies to keep the NATO plan secret because “a public discussion of contingency planning would also likely lead to an unnecessary increase in NATO-Russia tensions.’’

Russia cooperates closely with NATO in the Afghan war, and in counter-narcotics and maritime anti-piracy operations....

Still, the cables indicated that some nations remained wary of Moscow’s intentions.

Gee, I wonder who they could be.

And think Wikileaks is not an arm of the Jewish Mafia like the AmeriKan newspapers?

"Russian newspaper, WikiLeaks team up " by Bloomberg News / December 23, 2010

ST. PETERSBURG, Russia — A Moscow newspaper controlled in part by former Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev will join forces with WikiLeaks to expose corruption in Russia.

Julian Assange, founder of WikiLeaks, which publishes secret government and corporate documents online, has materials specifically about Russia that have not been published, and Novaya Gazeta will help make them public, the newspaper said on its website yesterday.

“Assange said that Russians will soon find out a lot about their country, and he wasn’t bluffing,’’ Novaya Gazeta said. “Our collaboration will expose corruption at the top tiers of political power. No one is protected from the truth.’’

Except Israel.

The weekly newspaper, which is funded largely by billionaire Alexander Lebedev, is known for its critical reports about the Kremlin and investigative coverage of Russian affairs. Most of the media industry in Russia is dominated by state-run companies.

Here they are platforms for the Zionist agenda.

Oh, Russians know that.

Novaya Gazeta correspondent Anna Politkovskaya, who wrote about graft under former president Vladimir Putin and chronicled abuses by military forces in Chechnya, was shot dead in her Moscow apartment building in 2006, on Putin’s birthday.

Isn't that a little obvious?

Putin is the one who drove the Jewish Mafia out of the country.

I'm smelling a set-up.

Novaya Gazeta received unlimited access to the WikiLeaks database, which has a wide range of materials, including documents about Politkovskaya’s murder and information about Russian politicians’ ties to organized crime, Nadezhda Prusenkova, a Novaya Gazeta spokeswoman, said by phone from Moscow. The newspaper will start releasing materials next month.

Must be coming any day now.

President Dmitry Medvedev said the US State Department cables already published by WikiLeaks don’t hurt Russia’s interests and that Russian authorities don’t care what’s being discussed in diplomatic circles.

:-)

“When people communicate, they sometimes use very harsh language, and if such a leak had happened from our Foreign Ministry or secrete services, many of our partners, including Americans, would have got an emotional charge after reading ‘kind words’ about themselves,’’ Medvedev said during a meeting with students in Mumbai yesterday....

Russian sarcasm?

Wikileaks continuous appearance in my paper marks it as an agenda-pushing Zionist operation, folks.
