IMF Scum on Suicide Watch in Pathetic Ploy For Sympathy

Sorry, try it on somebody else:

"IMF chief is placed under suicide watch at New York City jail; Accuser is telling truth, lawyer says" May 18, 2011|By Chris Hawley, Associated Press

NEW YORK — Law enforcement officials emphasized that IMF chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn had not tried to harm himself but that guards were keeping a close watch on him just in case.

Pffft!

Then I heard on the radio this morning he intends to fight!

Meanwhile, details began to emerge about his accuser, a 32-year-old immigrant from the West African nation of Guinea with a 15-year-old daughter....

Her lawyer Jeffrey Shapiro said:  “This is a woman with no agenda.’’

*************

Defense lawyer Benjamin Brafman has said “significant issues’’ make it “quite likely that Strauss-Kahn will be ultimately be exonerated.’’

The maid has not been identified by name, and the Associated Press generally does not name people alleging sexual assault.

She arrived seven years ago in the United States from Guinea under “very difficult circumstances,’’ Shapiro said, and lives in the city with her daughter.

Shapiro said the woman did not know that Strauss-Kahn was managing director of the International Monetary Fund.

“She did not know who this man was until a day or two after this took place,’’ Shapiro said.

Obviously.

"Last of Air France recordings salvaged" May 17, 2011|Associated Press

PARIS — The cause of the crash is unclear, and investigators and victims’ families are hoping the recorders will shed light on what sent Air France Flight 447 into the sea June 1, 2009, en route from Rio de Janeiro to Paris. All 228 people aboard were killed....

Gee, we were all told it was some sensor and millions were spent replacing them.

The BEA says investigators will analyze the material and release a new accident report this summer.

Did you just smell a whiff of official cover-up?
