I Spy Iran

I see the next country the Empire will be attacking.

"Iran accuses 30 of US spy ring; Arrests deepen political intrigue" May 22, 2011|By Ali Akbar Dareini, Associated Press

TEHRAN — Iran’s Intelligence Ministry claimed yesterday that it has arrested at least 30 people allegedly linked to a CIA-run spy network, accusations that could also spill over into the country’s deepening political power struggles.

The announcement on the alleged spy ring gave no further details and appear to be part of Iran’s frequent claims of Western and Israeli interference. But the Intelligence Ministry also is at the heart of a messy political showdown and could seek to boost its credentials as a front-line defender of the country....

See: Iran's Insecure Supreme Leader

In a statement read on state TV, Iran’s secret service said its agents uncovered activities of a CIA-run espionage network that sought to recruit Iranian spies through US diplomatic missions that include the United Arab Emirates, Malaysia, and Turkey.

It is not only entirely possible, it is quite likely given AmeriKan media silence since.

The report didn’t provide further details, but claimed the recruits had been asked to spy on Iran’s research institutes, universities, nuclear programs, and other sites.

Iranian authorities occasionally announce the arrest of people with alleged ties to foreign intelligence agencies, particularly the United States, Britain, and Israel....

Those would be the ones, yeah.

Authorities have arrested up to 25 people loyal to President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and his close confidant Esfandiar Rahim Mashaei in recent weeks and blocked half a dozen websites allied to them.

What?

Reports posted on Iranian opposition websites claim Mashaei and Hamid Baqaei, the vice president for executive affairs, have been summoned for questioning twice in recent days by Iran’s intelligence services to respond to questions on financial and security matters. Iranian officials have made no comment on the reports.

Baqaei is among eight vice presidents in the government and a close ally of Mashaei, who is Ahmadinejad’s chief of staff.

Mashaei has been accused by hard-liners of heading a “deviant current’’ that seeks to undermine the ruling system and shape politics after Ahmadinejad’s term expires. Earlier this week, an ultraconservative publication urged Mashaei’s arrest.

Mashaei is also despised by hard-liners for views that elevate the values of pre-Islamic Persia and his statements suggesting Iran can oppose Israel’s government but can be friendly with the Israeli people.

Who said that?

That's not the way he has been portrayed in my AmeriKan media.

And now he might even be a U.S. spy?

"Iran signals no mercy for two held as spies" May 25, 2011|Associated Press

TEHRAN — Iran scoffed yesterday at the United States and allies using the term hikers to describe three Americans charged with espionage, calling it a joke and giving no hint that prosecutors would scale back the accusations....

I'm wondering if the above article was a joke.

“They are not hikers and insistence by the US officials and their friends, who try to identify them as hikers, is not acceptable,’’ said the TV report, quoting Ramin Mehmanparast, a Foreign Ministry spokesman.

He added: “This is a joke interpretation of the word hiker.’’

Hey, whatever the propaganda requires.

"Blast kills at least 4, injures 20 as Iran opens oil refinery; Ahmadinejad was preparing for speech at facility" May 25, 2011|By Kay Armin Serjoie and Thomas Erdbrink, Washington Post

TEHRAN — A deadly blast during the inauguration of a major oil refinery by President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad of Iran killed at least four and injured 20, the semiofficial Mehr news agency reported yesterday.

Authorities ruled out any form of sabotage and instead spoke of an industrial accident caused by a gas leak at the Abadan oil refinery, in one of the largest and oldest industrial complexes in Iran....

In recent months Iran has been hit by a string of accidents, including several explosions of gas transportation lines that officials said were caused by terrorists

There are your covert CIA operators and Mossad moles at work.

But in the Abadan explosion, lawmakers accused Ahmadinejad of ignoring “well-known technical problems’’ and rushing to open the refinery too soon....

Iran Nuclear Trigger Document a Forgery, Mossad Suspected
U.S. intelligence has concluded that the document published recently by the Times of London, which purportedly describes an Iranian plan to do experiments on what the newspaper described as a “neutron initiator” for an atomic weapon, is a fabrication, according to a former Central Intelligence Agency official.

Philip Giraldi, who was a CIA counterterrorism official from 1976 to 1992, told IPS that intelligence sources say that the United States had nothing to do with forging the document, and that Israel is the primary suspect.

Yes, the New York Times really does think you are stupid enough to fall for the same damned lie twice in a row.
The world’s global nuclear inspection agency, frustrated by Iran’s refusal to answer questions, revealed for the first time on Tuesday that it possesses evidence that Tehran has conducted work on a highly sophisticated nuclear triggering technology that experts said could be used for only one purpose: setting off a nuclear weapon.

Iran Nuclear Trigger Story Already Proven Fake A Year Ago!
A columnist for the Times has acknowledged that the two-page Persian language document published by the Times last month was not a photocopy of the original document but an expurgated and retyped version of the original.

A translation of a second Persian language document also published by the Times, moreover, contradicts the claim by the Times that it shows the “nuclear trigger” document was written within an organisation run by an Iranian military scientist.
Iran nuclear trigger report a forgery, Ahmadinejad says

A leaked memo appearing to show Tehran's efforts to design an atomic bomb trigger was forged by the United States, Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad told a U.S. news program.

Given that the document that claimed Iraq was buying Yellowcake uranium from Niger was also a forgery, I side with Ahmadinejad on this one. Since the 1979 Iranian revolution and the downfall of the US Puppet Ruler the Shah, Iran has been an Islamic state. In that interval of time, 1979 to the present, Iran has not invaded anyone. Not once. People of all religions live in peace in Iran, even Jews, who find life so comfortable in Iran they refused an offer by the government of Israel to emigrate!

In the same period of time, Israel, a self-declared Jewish state, attacked Iraq in 1981, bombing the power station at Osirik, claiming it was a clandestine weapons factory. Subsequent examination of the ruins following the 2003 invasion proved Israel had lied. In 1982, Israel invaded Lebanon. This led to the Massacres at Sabra and Shatilla. In February 2003 Israel stages incursions into Gaza and Nablus. In September 2007 Israel bombs Syria, again insisting they are destroying a clandestine weapons laboratory. Again there is no evidence to support Israel's claims. In 2006, Israel attacks Lebanon, killing 1200, mostly civilians, several UN observers, and littering the landscape with land mines on their way out.In February 2008 Israel again raids Gaza, killing over 100. HAMAS agrees to a cease fire and keeps it for 6 months until November 4, when Israel again attacks, killing 6 HAMAS members, launching operation CAST LEAD. 1300 Gazans, mostly civilians, are killed. Israel loses 13 soldiers. Violations of international law include the use of White Phosphorus incendiary bombs against civilians and non-military targets. The United Nations investigates, but Israel refuses to cooperate. In May 2010, Israel attacks an international aid flotilla bring food and medical supplies to Gaza in international waters. 9 people are murdered including an American from New York. Add to it the numerous assassinations such as last year's embarrassment in Dubai, and you get the picture, even without the overtly racist and apartheid statements coming from Israel's rabbis.

In the same period of time, the United States, officially a secular nation but predominantly Christian, attacked El Salvador (1980), Libya (1981), Sinai (1982), Lebanon (1982 1983), Egypt (1983), Grenada (1983), Honduras (1983), Chad (1983), Persian Gulf (1984), Libya (1986) , Bolivia (1986), Iran (1987), Persian Gulf (1987), Kuwait (1987), Iran (1988), Honduras (1988), Panama (1988), Libya (1989), Panama (1989), Colombia, Bolivia, and Peru (1989), Philippines (1989), Panama (1989-1990), Liberia (1990), Saudi Arabia (1990), Iraq (1991), Zaire (1991), Sierra Leone (1992), Somalia (1992), Bosnia-Herzegovina (1993 to present), Macedonia (1993), Haiti (1994), Macedonia (1994), Bosnia (1995), Liberia (1996), Central African Republic (1996), Albania (1997), Congo/Gabon (1997), Sierra Leon (1997), Cambodia (1997), Iraq (1998), Guinea/Bissau (1998), Kenya/Tanzania (1998 to 1999), Afghanistan/Sudan (1998), Liberia (1998), East Timor (1999), Serbia (1999), Sierra Leon (2000), Yemen (2000), East Timor (2000), Afghanistan (2001 to present), Yemen (2002), Philippines (2002) , Cote d'Ivoire (2002), Iraq (2003 to present), Liberia (2003), Georgia/Djibouti (2003), Haiti (2004), Georgia/Djibouti/Kenya/Ethiopia/Yemen/Eritrea War on Terror (2004), Pakistan drone attacks (2004 to present), Somalia (2007), South Ossetia/Georgia (2008), Syria (2008), Yemen (2009), Haiti (2010), etc. etc. etc. etc.

So, who is the danger to world peace?" -- Wake the Flock Up

1. Last Spring, Rose Gottemoeller, an assistant secretary of state and Washington's chief nuclear arms negotiator, asked Israel to sign the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. Israel refused.

3. The IAEA asked Israel to sign the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and to submit to inspections. Israel refused.

4. Iran's formal notification to the IAEA of the planned construction of the backup fuel-rod facility underscores that Iran is playing by the rules of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty which Iran has signed.

5. Iran allows IAEA inspections of all its facilities.

6. Contrary to face-saving claims, it appears that the US and Israel were both caught off guard by Iran's announcement. The reasoning is simple. Had the US or Israel announced the existence of he new facility before Iran's notified the IAEA, it would have put Iran on the defensive. As it is now, the US and Israel seem to be playing catch up, casting doubt on the veracity of Israel's claims to "know" that Iran is a nuclear threat.

7. The IAEA and all 16 United States Intelligence Agencies are unanimous in agreement that Iran is not building and does not possess nuclear weapons.

8. In 1986, Mordachai Vanunu blew the whistle and provided photographs showing Israel's clandestine nuclear weapons factory underneath the reactor at Dimona.

9. Israel made the same accusations against Iraq that it is making against Iran, leading up to Israel's bombing of the power station at Osirik. Following the invasion of 2003, international experts examined the ruins of the power station at Osirik and found no evidence of a clandestine weapons factory in the rubble.

10. The United Nations has just released the Goldstone Report, a scathing report which accuses Israel of 37 specific war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza earlier this year. Israel has denounced the report as "Anti-Semitic (even though Judge Goldstone is himself Jewish), and the United States will block the report from being referred to the War Crimes Tribunal at the Hague, thereby making the US Government an accessory after-the-fact.

We all need to be Joe Wilson right now. We need to stand up and scream, "LIAR!" at every politician and every talking media moron that is pushing this war in Iran. And we need to keep dong it until they get the message that we will not be deceived any more.

Israel wants to send your kids off to die in Iran, and YOU are the only one that can stop them."-- Wake the Flock Up
