Haitian Hijinks

Haiti’s new president vows to rebuild struggling nation

The article is a total rewrite from what is in my printed paper. The rewrite emphasizes paying taxes, while my printed article pointed how the new guy promised everybody everything. The saving grace was the printed matter mentioned a certain issue I always look for when it comes to articles about Haiti.

"More than a year after the quake, hundreds of thousands of people in Haiti remain homeless and a deadly cholera outbreak has killed more than 4,800, according to a recent United Nations report....

--more--"

"Haiti, still reeling from the devastating effects of the massive earthquake that struck in January 2010, leaving more than 300,000 people dead....

In Haiti, food, housing, and medical care remain in short supply, and sanitary conditions are a life-threatening concern. A deadly cholera outbreak has claimed more than 4,800 lives, according to the United Nations, and is still spreading....

--more--"

Gee, how did cholera come to Haiti when the place hasn't had an epidemic in over 50 years?

Cholera Comes to Haiti

Oh, the U.N brought it with them!!!

And then they said where it came from was not important and the AmeriKan media has omitted that fact ever since.
