That's not why I'm for legalization.

"Two face drug dealing charges in Quincy; Marijuana found in mail, police say" by Jessica Bartlett  |  Globe Correspondent, January 09, 2013

A Quincy teenager faces drug charges, police say, after he and a California man received a package Monday containing 14 pounds of marijuana.

Corey Lust, 19, of Quincy, and Michael Zuniga, 24, were charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of a controlled substance, and a school zone violation.

Lust was also charged with manufacturing a controlled substance.

According to police, their case began when a Quincy Center postal inspector thought the package was suspicious and contacted police.

“Post Office workers have trained experience in narcotics investigation,” said Quincy police Captain John Dougan.

A police dog was sent to the Post Office, and it identified the package as containing a narcotic, police said.

Officers set up surveillance at the suspect’s home on Cove Way , and a postal worker tried to deliver the package. When no one answered, the worker left an attempted delivery notice. Police said the package had been sent from California, with a phony return address.

Around 4:30 p.m., two men left the home, got into a car, and went to the Post Office to pick up the package, police said.

When the men started driving back, officers stopped the vehicle. One tried to flee, but was caught. Police said the suspect had $397 and two phones in his possession.

Police confiscated the phones, money, and package. The box had 14 vacuum-sealed bags of marijuana weighing about one pound each, police said.

Officers estimated the value of the marijuana at more than $50,000.

Officers searched the Quincy apartment and reported finding numerous marijuana plants.

You should have set up a bank and laundered drug money instead, kids.

When will you ever learn?
