"Woman held on marijuana possession
A Malden woman was arrested on charges of possession of 5 pounds of marijuana after the car she was driving was stopped by State Police for having tinted windows and a missing license plate, State Police said. State Police said they could smell a heavy odor of fresh marijuana when they pulled the car over on Route 1 in Saugus. A trooper asked the driver, Darne Ricci, 22, to turn over any marijuana in the car. Ricci was taken into custody and charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana, police said. She will be arraigned in Lynn District Court Wednesday morning, said Carrie Kimball-Monahan, spokeswoman for the Essex district attorney’s office."
