"R.I. man killed in highway crash in Hopkinton
A 59-year-old Rhode Island man died Monday afternoon after the tractor-trailer he was driving crashed on the ramp from Interstate 495 to the Massachusetts Turnpike westbound in Hopkinton, State Police said. Feliz Piedade of East Providence was trapped in the truck’s cab and was severely injured in the 1 p.m. crash. He was taken to UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester, where he later died, State Police said. The turnpike westbound was closed at Interchange 11A for several hours to allow for the rescue, investigation, and clearing of the truck and debris."
