"Vt. woman hit by train is conscious after fall
Vermont police said a woman was struck by a train Friday and knocked off a rail bridge in Brattleboro. Police said the 47-year-old Brattleboro woman was walking on the West River train bridge when she was hit by the side of the train and fell about 25 feet onto rocks below. She did not fall into the water. Police said it appeared that she suffered significant injuries, but was conscious and talking when emergency services arrived. Her name was not released. She was taken to Brattleboro Memorial Hospital."
