Sunday Globe Special: Where Religious Extremism is the Mainstream

It may surprise you:

"Small groups of Jews, a fringe of hard-core zealots, but now more mainstream.... Over the last few years, a cause long taken up by only a fringe group of far right-wingers has increasingly been embraced by the modern Orthodox — known here as religious Zionists"

Meanwhile, the alleged fringe far-right of AmeriKa is called all sorts of bad names, and I'm really tired of the whole s*** fooley of AmeriKan politics coming from mouthpiece media.

Incredibly, U.S. taxpayer dollars are paying for that. I put those up so you know what prism I am getting my "news" through, world.

As for me, I'm not really interested in reading agenda-pushing Jewish supremacism and elitism anymore, although I know that the regional flagship known as the Boston Globe is only serving its dwindling readership. It's actually spiritually and physically painful.

You can make what you want of these, dear readers. I go other places to find out what is going on in the world around me. Whatever lie, obfuscation, omission, half-truth, diversion, distraction, or distortion I am getting in the form of a newspaper every morning is not helping.

"Tensions rise as more Jews visit Muslim-controlled site; Numbers atop Temple Mount could provoke" by Jodi Rudoren |  New York Times, September 22, 2013

Also known as the Jew York Times.

JERUSALEM — Small groups of Jews are increasingly ascending the Temple Mount in Jerusalem’s Old City, a sacred site controlled for centuries by Muslims, who see the visits as a provocation that could undermine the fragile peace talks started this summer.

Meant to scuttle those lip-service talks, increase tension to take attention off Israel's continuing theft of land, and possibly sneak a bomber in there to blow up the Mount so the alleged ancient Temple can be rebuilt.

For decades the Israelis drawn to the site were mainly a fringe of hard-core zealots, but now more mainstream Jews are lining up to enter, as a widening group of Israeli politicians and rabbis challenges the longstanding rules constraining Jewish access and conduct.

You see, if a government is Islamic it is designated extreme by the Jewish war peddlers of the pre$$; if it is a western movement opposed to its control of governments and the banking system, it is denigrated and attacked with all sorts of slander; however, if it is extremist Zionist zettlers, that's okay.

A society on the road to destruction, and I didn't have to lift a finger.

Brides go on their wedding days, synagogue and religious-school groups make regular outings, and many surreptitiously skirt the ban on non-Muslim prayer, like a Russian immigrant who daily recites the morning liturgy in his mind, as he did decades ago in the Soviet Union.

Jews just TAKING OVER in their lovely and inimitable arrogance, huh?

They think they own the world, and why wouldn't they? Taught in in their Talmud and Torah, and then grow up to see it for themselves. The rest of us grow up to realize we were lied to the whole time -- by the very group that benefited from our deception.

Palestinian leaders say the new activity has created the worst tension in memory around the landmark Al Aksa Mosque and Dome of the Rock, and have called on Muslims to defend the site from “incursions.” A spate of stone-throwing clashes erupted this month.

I told you why.

On Wednesday, three Muslims were arrested and an Israeli police officer was wounded in the face.

Yup, the poor Jew who is endangered and the victim narrative again. Considering the source.... sigh.

And Friday, thousands of Arab citizens of Israel rallied in the north, warning that Al Aksa is in danger.

“We reject these religious visits,” Sheik Ekrima Sa’eed Sabri, who oversees Muslim affairs in Jerusalem, said in an interview. “Our duty is to warn,” he added. “If they want to make peace in this region, they should stay away from Al Aksa.”

They don't want peace. That is why they are going there.

The 37-acre site is perhaps the most religiously contested place on earth. Jews revere it as the home of the First and Second Temples more than 2,000 years ago.

Temples for which their is no evidence of existence. It's just more forgery and fraud from the usual suspects and sources.

For Muslims, who call the site the Noble Sanctuary, it is the world’s third-holiest spot, from which Mohammed is believed to have ascended to heaven. More than 300,000 foreign tourists also flock there annually, many of them Christians drawn to the ruins of the temple Jesus attended.

And as a Christian I want Muslim control maintained and the radical, right-wing Jew zealots kept as far away as possible. When was the last time the long-dead bin Laden was allowed to pray in a synagogue, 'eh?

Politically, the competing claims to the area are the nut around which the Israeli-Palestinian conflict revolves, the symbolic heart of each side’s religious and historical attachment to Jerusalem that has made its governance one of the thorniest issues in peace negotiations.

Oh, I agree there are nuts there.

Over the last few years, a cause long taken up by only a fringe group of far right-wingers has increasingly been embraced by the modern Orthodox — known here as religious Zionists — who have also gained political power.

That statement is astounding to anyone who knows anything about Zionism. The damn stink stain state of Israhell was founded by Zionists based on a plan developed by Theodore Hertzl going back to before the turn of the 19th century! To imply that the "Zionists" -- a word foreign to Americans except in the context of evil Muslims criticizing Israel -- are newcomers to power in Israel really speaks to a certain myopic quality regarding AmeriKa's jewspaper of record.

Thus it is to be dismissed as a source of information and be seen as pure propaganda for certain interests.

At three recent Parliament hearings, religious lawmakers and cabinet ministers questioned the status quo, in which non-Muslims can enter the site only for a few hours five days a week, and those identified by the police as Jews are separated, escorted by police officers and admonished not to dance, sing, bow down, or even move their lips in prayer. Amid the pilgrims Wednesday was Michal Berdugo, 25, a secular Israeli who said it had been her “dream for three years” to visit. “It’s part of who we are,” she said.

These are the same nutballs who claim God gave them the land, though for some reason he didn't give 'em a deed of title. Turns out Palestinians are the ones that have those.

The recent shift has many roots. For years, most authorities on Jewish law said Jews should not enter the complex for fear of treading on the ancient temple’s holiest spots, but recent archaeological work has led some moderate and even liberal Orthodox rabbis to lift those bans.

At the same time, activists have stepped up their campaign for access and prayer at the Temple Mount, part of a broader push to cement Jewish control of all of Jerusalem.

Experts who have observed the phenomenon also see it as a reaction to Israel’s evacuation of Jews from the Gaza Strip in 2005, a redirection of Messianic energy once devoted to West Bank settlements that many fear could soon succumb to the same fate to make way for a Palestinian state.

Any time someone starts talking "messiah" I get nervous.

“The war for the land of Israel is not just political, but essentially spiritual,” said Yossi Klein Halevi, author of a new book that traces the lives of paratroopers who seized the Mount in 1967. “Given that the Temple Mount is the focal point of holiness in the Holy Land, the thinking is that we need to go to the source in order to prevent the further partition of the land.”

Aren't they considered "terrorists" then? Or are they heroes instead?

*****************************

Palestinian officials were particularly alarmed that the Israeli police commissioner told a newspaper this month that “every Jew who wishes to pray at the Temple Mount can pray on the Temple Mount.”

*******************************

A recent visit by the right-wing housing minister also stirred outrage.

“Before, it was some settlers from here, some extremists from there; now we start to hear it from the real officials,” said Adnan Husseini, the Palestinian governor of Jerusalem....

Hey, they always retroactively legalize illegal settlements.

The Palestinians have complained to the United Nations, the Arab League, and US Secretary of State John Kerry, most recently after Wednesday’s clash, when the chief Palestinian negotiator wrote to Kerry, saying that the issue “could inflame the situation and undermine the current opportunity to move toward peace.”

You didn't know he was giving you lip service after adopting Israel's position on things?

Israel’s chief rabbinate maintains that the Mount is off limits to Jews — a sign saying so is posted at the gate. But a senior Israeli official, speaking on the condition of anonymity, said the government supported “in principle” Jews’ rights to pray there.

Who cares what anyone else thinks as they barge their way in!

"Palestinian abducts, kills Israeli soldier; Allegedly hoped to trade body for brother’s release" by Jodi Rudoren |  New York Times, September 22, 2013

JERUSALEM — A Palestinian man lured an Israeli soldier he worked with at a sandwich shop outside Tel Aviv to the West Bank on Friday, and killed him in hopes of using the body as leverage to lobby for the release of his brother from an Israeli prison, military officials said Saturday.

I don't think that helps things -- if any of this is accurate.

They don't have their own 800-Pound Gorilla in the room?

Lieutenant Colonel Peter Lerner, a spokesman for the Israeli military, said the Palestinian, Nidal Omar, confessed to the crime after being arrested early Saturday along with seven others.

And tortured? And it's amaZing to me how the Israeli authorities always catch Palestinians almost instantaneously but can never find Zionist zettlers that commit terrorism?

The closeness of the relationship between Omar, 42, and the 20-year-old soldier, Sergeant Tomer Hazan, remained unclear late Saturday, but the owner of the shop in Bat Yam where they worked said in a television interview that both men were well liked.

And it is not going to be cleared up the the Jewish fog machine we call ma$$ media.

Lerner said Omar had persuaded Hazan to go with him in a taxi Friday from Israel to a Jewish settlement in the West Bank and then to Beit Amin, a nearby Palestinian village of 1,100 where his family is from.

Omar then took Hazan to an open area, killed him, and hid his body in a water cistern, according to Lerner, who said Omar “wanted to barter with the dead body.” Lerner did not say how the soldier had died.

The news heightened tensions even as the Palestinians and Israelis have entered peace talks.

And stinking stench of a false flag or a staged and scripted hoax raises its ugly head.

Omar’s relatives said he is married to an Israeli citizen, lives in the Arab-Israeli town of Jaljulia with her and their eight children, and had earned about $2,500 a month serving shwarma in the Bat Yam shop for the past four years.

What?

But Lerner said Omar did not have the permit required to work or stay in Israel. On Saturday night, several hundred people protested outside the sandwich shop against Palestinians working illegally in Israel, some of them shouting, “Death to Arabs.”

Must be that mainstream group of Jews I have been reading about.

Since the second intifada a decade ago and Israel’s subsequent building of a barrier separating it from most of the West Bank, Israeli travel into Palestinian villages is relatively uncommon. Lerner said the authorities are investigating how Omar persuaded Hazan to go with him.

Ah, Israel's apartheid wall makes an appearance.

The kidnapping of soldiers in Israel, where military service is mandatory for most Jews, is among the most profound fears for Israelis. In late 2011, Israel agreed to release more than 1,000 Palestinian prisoners in exchange for Gilad Shalit, a soldier who had been abducted five years before by Hamas militants from the Gaza Strip.

I could go find a link, but why waste my time and yours?

The Israeli military recently reported a sharp rise in Palestinian plots to kidnap soldiers in hopes of trading them for some of the 4,500 Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails. Thirty-seven such plans have been thwarted this year, more than in all of 2012, according to Lerner.

PFFFFFFT!

Israel released 26 long-serving Palestinian prisoners last month, and is expected to release about 75 more in three phases, as part of the Washington-brokered peace talks that started this summer. Right-wing politicians who oppose the establishment of a Palestinian state seized on the killing to bolster their argument.

Gee, HOW CONVENIENT and OBVIOUS for this to happen at this time? What a coincidence! Must be that mainstream Israeli luck!

“One does not make peace with terrorists who throw soldiers’ bodies into a hole in the ground,” Naftali Bennett, an Israeli minister, said Saturday. “One fights them without mercy.”

Honestly, who gives a s*** about Zionist politics?

Lerner said that Omar’s imprisoned brother, Nur ad-Din Omar, had been incarcerated since 2003 and was a member of the Tanzim militia, an offshoot of the Fatah faction.

Oh, he wasn't even with Hamas? He was with the good guys they are trying to negotiate a deal with?

Another brother, Mahmoud Abdullah Omar, said he was serving a 30-year sentence for a shooting that injured some Israel soldiers.

Hazan was in a noncombat job in the air force and worked part time at the sandwich shop. His Facebook page, filled Saturday with condolences, showed photos of him at parties and pools.

“He was like my son, there’s no other boy like him,” the restaurant owner said on Israel’s Channel 2 news. Of Omar, the owner — who was not identified — said: “He was on good terms with everyone. Nice as can be.”

The military said Hazan’s family reported him missing at 10 p.m. Friday, prompting an investigation. Omar’s mother said many Israeli soldiers with three dogs arrived at 3 a.m. Saturday, and stayed until 4 p.m. Six Omar brothers were arrested, she said.

Yeah, it's extremist Palestinians that are the threat, which means all of their men and boys.

“I condemn what he did a million times,” said Mahmoud Omar, who was not among those arrested. “He ruined our lives.”

Another entity that ruins lives:
