Monday is My Mother's Day

And full of Next Day Updates to get you started (a quick check of Mom's health privies she is Hardy):

"Mother’s Day marchers urge peaceful solutions; Feel loss of loved ones to violence" by Jeremy C. Fox | Globe Correspondent   May 11, 2014

Mothers came bearing photos, buttons, and banners, some wearing purple to represent peace.

Really? Wow. I've been using green because it is the color of life and my favorite; however, I may have to reevaluate. I've been using purple for gay because that was the only color left in the rainbow, although I suppose I should have been using orange all along. Guess I'm not gay. Sorry)

Here and there amid the crowd, a face was streaked with tears.

The acknowledgments of loss were everywhere, but a day that might have been somber became suffused with hope, as mothers of children lost to violence gathered beneath a dazzling blue sky to share a simple message: Peace is possible.

That is the rallying cry of the 18th annual Mother’s Day Walk for Peace as the turnout sent a message.

I can't tell you how overjoyed I was to see my lying, distorting, agenda-pushing, hoax-spreading newspaper come over to the antiwar side this morning, readers. No more drone strikes, no more lies, no more war promoting, no more using women as propaganda pawns to.... what?

That's not what the peace protest is about? It's a gun grab instead?

*******************

On street corners, front stoops, and balconies along the march route, residents clustered, many of them women holding young children, to watch the throngs stream past. Some sipped mugs of morning coffee; others extended smartphones to capture photos or video of the scene.

Marchers beat drums and chanted, “What do we want? Peace! When do we want it? Now!

I did notice that there are no more antiwar protesters on the town common on Saturdays now. I guess the four old f***s finally threw in the towel or were finally denied a permit by the town. After all, the wars are ending, right?

The mood was buoyant, but for some, the pain of loss remained fresh.

Carla Sheffield, 49, wept as she remembered her son Burrell Ramsey-White, who was shot and killed by a Boston police officer in August 2012.

“This is about kids being gunned down by other kids, but they don’t talk about kids being gunned down by the police,” Sheffield said.

Sheffield questioned an investigation by Suffolk District Attorney Daniel F. Conley’s office that found that Ramsey-White had pointed a gun at the officer who shot him, and that the officer fired in self defense.

“They didn’t investigate to get justice; they investigated to clear that officer,” she said.

Oooh! HEY! You can't say such things about AmeriKa's protective security services -- even if true!

A spokesman for Conley, who also marched Sunday, said an independent panel of community stakeholders reviewed the investigation’s findings and that all documents were made available to the news media, as is standard in fatalities involving police.

Sorry, but we no longer believe in authority.

Sunday’s marchers included Denise Richard, whose 8-year-old son, Martin, died in the Boston Marathon bombings;, and Scarlett Lewis, whose 6-year-old son, Jesse, was among 20 children and six adults killed in December 2012 in the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting in Newtown, Conn....

Especially when they trot out two well-known staged and scripted hoaxes!

"Cambridge rally held to call for Nigerian students’ return" by Gal Tziperman Lotan | Globe Correspondent   May 11, 2014

CAMBRIDGE — People in the crowd, some wearing red and holding signs that read #BringBackOurGirls, the social media rallying cry of the movement to rescue the schoolgirls, gathered to talk about the kidnapping and share what they, as people living in the United States, could do to help.

“I’m not a very passionate person, but this upsets me, because we could do more,” Irele, an apprentice teacher at the Shady Hill School, said after the rally.

Carol R. Johnson, Boston’s former superintendent of schools, told the crowd that the kidnapping was an attack on education, tolerance, and open-mindedness. She encouraged people who care about the issue to work together and speak out.

“The fight will only be sustained if our voices are there to make it happen,” Johnson said.

More than 300 students were kidnapped from a school in the town of Chibok, in northeastern Nigeria, in mid-April. The leader of Boko Haram, a Nigerian terrorist network whose name roughly translates to “Western education is a sin,” took responsibility for the kidnapping in a 57-minute video.

“Western education should end,” Abubakar Shekau said in the video, according to the Associated Press. “Girls, you should go and get married.”

And who could ever doubt all that, huh?

Nigerian police told the Associated Press that 53 of the students have escaped Boko Haram, but 276 are still being held.

Some of the girls may have been forced to marry their abductors, who paid $12 per bride. There have been reports that some may be in the neighboring countries of Cameroon and Chad. In his video, Shekau threatened to “sell them in the market,” the Associated Press report said.

Amnesty International estimated that about 1,500 people, more than half of them civilians, have been killed in clashes between Boko Haram and Nigeria’s security forces from January to the end of March.

On the Cambridge Common, rally organizers distributed pamphlets detailing ways in which people can help: Talk about the kidnapped students to anyone who will listen, both in person and on Twitter; sign a petition; ask elected officials to pressure Nigeria; donate to organizations like the Campaign for Female Education.

Another ca$h grab attached to the pulling of hearts strings!

Rally organizer Vanessa E. Beary , a doctoral candidate at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, said, “It’s a crime, it’s an outrage,” she said. “This event in and of itself is symbolic of issues in many parts of the world, whether it’s a group of women being kidnapped or whether it’s the systematic denial of education to girls in Afghanistan and Pakistan.”

She went to Harvard, huh?

And ABOUT THOSE DRONE STRIKES signed off on by the president that has killed women and children? Hello?!

Last week she sat looking for a rally, a demonstration, a way to get involved.

I'm sorry I no longer trust the altruism of an agenda-pu$hing paper.

She wanted to attend something on Sunday, because it was Mother’s Day....

This propaganda was really choreographed well! What timing for this!

Beary said she was bothered by things she read about the movement online, criticizing Twitter activism as passive and ineffective.

All my tweets are here, and judging by the hits they are far from ineffective.

“I don’t consider this passive. I now know how to organize a rally in my own community. I’ve never done this before,” she said. “We’re collectively taking ownership [of the issue] today, and I know these conversations are going to continue.”

Mary Twieraga of Plymouth, with her daughter Mia, approached Beary when the rally was over to thank her for organizing it. “This is the only thing I wanted for Mother’s Day,” she said.

"Search for Nigerian girls gets boost; Security experts, negotiators come from other nations" by Haruna Umar | Associated Press   May 12, 2014

BAUCHI, Nigeria — The international effort to rescue the 276 schoolgirls being held captive by Islamic extremists in northeastern Nigeria is getting a further boost with the expected arrival this week of US hostage negotiators and other security specialists from Britain, France, China, and Spain.

Britain, Nigeria’s former colonial ruler, has said it hopes the international response will halt the five-year-old Islamic uprising that has killed thousands of Muslims and Christians and has driven some 750,000 people from their homes.

But Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel cautioned Sunday that it is ‘‘going to be very difficult’’ to find the missing girls. In an interview with ABC’s ‘‘This Week,’’ he said ‘‘ It’s a vast country. . . . But we’re going to bring to bear every asset we can possibly use to help the Nigerian government.’’

That is going to be difficult, too.

What that tells you is despite the talk of troop drawdowns: "the Army plans to reduce its fighting force — a reflection of budget cuts (had it with the lies yet?)" there is either something big coming up, or more likely, AmeriKa is losing the wars. This is what losers do, grab on to any able-bodied adult they can find.

The Pentagon previously sent a team to Lagos to assess what the Nigerian military needs that the United States could provide in the search.

And now, the confirmation of the false narrative.

The office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Sunday that he spoke with President Jonathan Goodluck of Nigeria and told him: ‘‘We are ready to assist in locating the girls and fighting the brutal terrorism inflicted on you.’’

It did not elaborate on what kind of assistance Israel is offering. Israel has security relations with Nigeria as well as other African nations, including Kenya, which Israel helped with security advisers in the Nairobi mall attack last September.

Whenever Israel is involved, everything is suspect. Too many false flags and lies for far too long. Especially when it is their mouthpiece of a media promoting the narrative.

RelatedKenyan Incompetence

Another staged and scripted fraud and hoax. Near tears now!!

Security expert Darlington Abdullah, a former commodore with the Nigerian air force, warned that militants may have laid land mines to discourage any pursuit.

At the United Nations, the Security Council last week called for Boko Haram, the Islamist militant group that captured the girls, to be held accountable for what may amount to crimes against humanity. In a statement approved by all 15 members, the Security Council expressed ‘‘profound outrage’’ at the abduction.

May? And why aren't they already under sanction? $mells like a covert western intelligence operation.

Sudan Peace Pact Signed With Invisible Ink

Can see it today:

"Fighting greets S. Sudan truce" Associated Press   May 12, 2014

NAIROBI — New fighting broke out in South Sudan on Sunday fewer than 48 hours after the country’s president and the rebel leader agreed to a cease-fire that Secretary of State John Kerry and the UN secretary general helped forge.

Aid leaders and analysts hailed Friday night’s deal but some also voiced skepticism that it would translate to peace on the ground. Those fears were borne out Sunday as fighting again flared for a strategic oil town where horrific crimes against humanity have occurred.

It's all about the oil.

Each side blamed the other for re-starting the violence.

South Sudan’s defense minister, Kuol Manyang Juk, said rebels attacked government positions near Bentiu at 6:30 a.m. Sunday. He said government troops killed 27 rebels and captured some arms.

An opposition spokesman, Brigadier General Lul Ruai Kong, said government forces attacked rebels in two states. He said government fighters were in ‘‘active combat’’ with opposition troops around Bentiu.

Kerry must have given his okay on the way throughout then.

Humanitarian workers hoped Friday’s deal would allow residents to return home and plant crops. More than 1.3 million people have fled their homes because of the fighting, and aid experts say that if residents don’t plant crops by the end of May mass hunger is likely to set in, and possibly famine.

The seeds of another war-promoting propaganda narrative?

Other Mother's Day gifts from the Globe:

"In China, Alibaba’s brands are household names. It operates an online shopping center, Tmall, where global companies such as Disney, Apple, L’Oréal, Nike, and Procter & Gamble have set up virtual storefronts to sell products directly to Chinese shoppers. US companies such as Google and eBay can only dream of making the kind of profit margin that Alibaba enjoys. Wall Street has been eagerly awaiting an IPO, wanting to share in the company’s stupendous growth."

"Marco Rubio says he’s ‘ready’ for presidency" New York Times   May 12, 2014

WASHINGTON — Senator Marco Rubio said Sunday he was ready to be president, becoming the second potential Republican candidate recently to drop big hints about 2016 as he vies for early attention in a crowded field of maybes.

Rubio of Florida said on ABC’s “This Week” that although he was waiting until the end of the year to consider the decision, he thought he had a “vision” for the nation’s future and a strategy for achieving it, among other qualifications.

I'm so glad I no longer watch those shows.

“I do,” he said when asked whether he thought he was ready for the presidency. “I mean, but I think that’s true for multiple other people that would want to run.”

Rubio’s assertion came a week after Governor Rick Perry of Texas offered perhaps his clearest indication yet that he was considering another run, talking about his “botched” campaign in 2012 on NBC’s “Meet the Press” and emphasizing that Americans believe in “second chances.”

Perry is interesting since he criticized the Fed, but other than that....

With Rubio and Perry trailing other potential candidates such as Jeb Bush, a former governor of Florida, and Senator Rand Paul, a Kentucky Republican, in recent polls, the remarks could be interpreted as an early attempt to stand out in a field where there is no front-runner.

Let's make three then.

A Tea Party darling who drew fire for working with Democrats on immigration reform, Rubio appeared intent on shoring up support among conservative voters.

After the release of a recent study saying that the effects of climate change were already being felt, Rubio said he disagreed with scientists that humans were having an effect on the “always evolving” climate.

Uh-oh. He broke political orthodoxy and dogma.

“I do not believe that human activity is causing these dramatic changes to our climate the way these scientists are portraying it,” he said.

The weather would seem to be backing him up, even though I won't be. All lost in the sands of time as far as I am concerned, all due some bully kicking up sand.
