"Group: Islamic militants killed 770 Iraqi troops" by Sinan Salaheddin and Sameer N. Yacoub | Associated Press   September 04, 2014

BAGHDAD — Militants from the Islamic State group carried out a mass killing of hundreds of Iraqi soldiers captured when the extremists overran a military base north of Baghdad in June, a leading international watchdog said Wednesday.

Camp Speicher, an air base that previously served as a US military facility, was the site of one of the worst atrocities perpetrated by the Islamic State as it seized large swaths of northern and western Iraq.

According to Human Rights Watch, new evidence indicates Islamic State fighters killed between 560 and 770 men captured at Camp Speicher, near Tikrit — a figure several times higher than initially reported.

Who is Human Rights Watch anyway?

I was wondering why they are one of the few human rights groups cited by my Zionist War Daily.

‘‘These are horrific and massive abuses, atrocities by the Islamic State, and on a scale that clearly rises to the crimes against humanity,’’ Fred Abrahams, special adviser to the rights group, told journalists in Erbil.

They will have to get in back of Israel, right? (Oddly, it is Israel that is one of the backers of SILLI).

The Qaeda-breakaway group said in mid-June that it executed about 1,700 military personnel from Camp Speicher.

The group also posted photos that appeared to show its gunmen massacring scores of Iraqi soldiers after loading the captives onto flatbed trucks and then forcing them to lie face-down in a shallow ditch, their arms tied behind their backs.

It's the Nazi imagery the Jew World Order is trying to call up in your mind, and how interesting that next to that little fella with the mustache who was the greatest threat they had ever seem, the Muslim way -- especially when it comes to usury and materialism -- is now an area basically off limits to Zionist penetration. Thus they, too, must be destroyed.

Afterward, the soldiers were listed as missing, prompting their families to stage demonstrations in Baghdad to pressure authorities for word on their fate. On Tuesday, dozens of angry family members stormed into Parliament in Baghdad’s fortified Green Zone after scuffling with security guards. They forced the speaker to call a session Wednesday on the missing soldiers.

Now, finally, something SERIOUS is reported!

Human Rights Watch said in late June that analysis of photos and satellite images showed that between 160 and 190 men were killed in at least two locations between June 11 and 14.

I'm sorry, maybe it is all true, but I don't trust that stuff anymore. US has used it lie, most recently in the Ukraine. Long ago they lied to the king of Saudi Arabia about Iraqi troops ready to invade. Back to silly, I guess.

The new Human Rights Watch report said the revised figure was based on analysis of new satellite imagery, militant videos, and a survivor’s account that confirmed the existence of three more mass execution sites.

They are laying this stuff on thick, thick, thick.

SOMETHING BAD is COMING in about a WEEK!

Remember that when the Internet is taken down because of the nuclear bomb explosion destroying Chicago.

The number of victims could be higher as more evidence emerges. ‘‘The barbarity of the Islamic State violates the law and grossly offends the conscience,’’ said Peter Bouckaert, at Human Rights Watch.

I feel that way about what Israel has done to Gaza. Where are you guys, and why does HRW always get out front with war propaganda?

At Wednesday’s Parliament session, the soldiers’ families accused authorities of ‘‘selling our sons’’ by ordering many of the soldiers to abandon their posts and leave Camp Speicher in civilian clothes.

Once outside the base, hundreds were captured, said Mohammed al-Assi, a representative for the soldiers’ families.

However, acting Defense Minister Saadoun al-Dulaimi denied there were any orders to abandon Camp Speicher.

During the Parliament session, survivor Thaer Abdul-Karim told lawmakers that a military commander ordered the soldiers in Speicher on June 12 to leave the camp and hand over their weapons.

The whole "uprising" that has now been beaten back was nothing but a smokescreen for a coup against Maliki, and it succeeded. He's gone now.

Abdul-Karim said the commander told the troops that there were military trucks waiting for them at a nearby highway to take them to a base near Baghdad. Instead, the soldiers, in civilian clothes, were taken by gunmen who were waiting for them on the highway.

‘‘We panicked after seeing our colleagues being shot dead,’’ Abdul-Karim said. ‘‘There was a state of chaos and some started to run away and I managed to escape.’’

Also Wednesday, the UN envoy in Iraq called for a public and independent investigation by Iraqi authorities into the fate of the missing soldiers.

That's a laugh.

"13 civilians killed in bus attack in eastern Syria" Associated Press   September 04, 2014

BEIRUT — A Syrian government airstrike hit a bus carrying civilians in eastern Syria on Wednesday, killing at least 13 people, most of them children, opposition activists said.

Good thing EUSraeli airstrikes never do that, according to my war paper.

But the government in Damascus blamed the Islamic State group for the attack, describing it as ‘‘yet another massacre’’ committed by the extremist group.

Oh, NICE WAY to TURN the TABLES!

Activists said the aircraft-fired missile struck the bus in the village of Shoula as it was traveling to Damascus.

I know who I am believing.

The civilians on the bus were the latest victims in Syria’s civil war, which is now in its fourth year and which has killed more than 190,000 people, according to the United Nations.

The conflict has pitted forces loyal to President Bashar Assad against rebels and others fighting to topple him, including increasingly powerful Islamic extremist groups.

That tells you a whole bunch of nothing.

Now for the entertainment portion of our program:

"Presidential mushiness on ISIS attacks" by Joan Vennochi | Globe Columnist   September 04, 2014

It’s getting very personal between President Obama and the Islamic State militant group that beheaded a second US hostage — and for that, Obama has no one to blame but himself.

“I’m back, Obama, and I’m back because of your arrogant foreign policy towards the Islamic State,” said the masked fighter with the British accent, who stars in the gruesome video showing the beheading of journalist Steven J. Sotloff and appears to be the same person who also beheaded journalist James Foley.

In response to Sotloff’s murder, Obama vowed to punish the militants behind it. “Our objective is clear, and that is: degrade and destroy,” he said before the start of a NATO summit in Wales.
It’s doubtful any jihadists are overly intimidated by Obama’s latest remarks, given all the presidential mushiness that preceded them. Instead, they will use his threats to strengthen their own position, for they no doubt agree with the late Osama bin Laden’s doctrine of power: “When people see a strong horse and a weak horse, by nature they will like the strong horse.”

However, some of us prefer a smart horse, which was once Obama’s claim to fame.

We do not need empty swagger from a president, or knee-jerk military action. Calmness and thoughtfulness are admirable qualities in crises. But if that’s what Obama is trying to communicate, he has been missing the mark. He has badly mismanaged the image of how he is dealing with the brutal group called ISIS (the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria) — from the much-maligned round of golf he played right after decrying Foley’s death to last week’s presidential declaration that “we don’t have a strategy yet” to deal with ISIS.

Obama also took deserved heat for a statement from an earlier New Yorker interview during which the president was asked to assess the potential capabilities of ISIS.

“I think the analogy we use around here sometimes, and I think is accurate, is if a JV team puts on Lakers uniforms, that doesn’t make them Kobe Bryant,” Obama said then. Asked recently about the analogy, a White House spokesman said the president’s JV remark “was not singling out” ISIS. However, David Remnick, the interviewer, specifically refers to the takeover of Fallujah, which was spearheaded by ISIS. A Washington Post “Fact Checker” report, which deconstructs the New Yorker interview, notes that Remnick described Obama’s response as “an uncharacteristically flip analogy,” and it does seem flip for a president to trash talk terrorists as if they were NBA players he might someday meet on a playoff court.

It’s not the first time a president has been criticized for employing the wrong tone with terrorists — or the first time it has gotten personal between them. It happened after the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, when President George W. Bush said of bin Laden, “I want justice. And there’s an old poster out West, I recall, that says, ‘Wanted: Dead or Alive.’ ” After that statement, bin Laden issued a videotaped message mocking the “infidel” Bush.

Somewhere between Bush’s cowboy machismo and Obama’s above-it-all posturing is that quality called leadership. It may not stop terrorists from carrying out their agenda, but it reassures American citizens in uncertain times. What’s lacking now is what Obama has been able to project in the past, the sense that he’s the grown-up in the room. Instead, there’s a feeling that when it comes to ISIS, he’s the one suiting up a JV team up against varsity-level butchery.

The deaths of Foley and Sotloff are horrible, but the president shouldn’t be pushed into misguided response. Obama’s message is important, but in the end, implementing the right strategy is more important. Obama has shown the killer instinct before — bin Laden’s demise is proof of that, along with America’s unrepentant drone strategy.

US airstrikes are weakening ISIS in Iraq, said Obama. Now the issue is whether the United States will be pushed to take the fight to Syria. Obama is holding back on that, seeking a broad coalition of international support.

Meanwhile, the masked man with a knife at the throat of a helpless victim is goading a US president. He wants to make it personal, but Obama should let him know by his words and actions that it’s bigger than that.

"Anger as decapitated Lebanese soldier is buried" by Hussein Malla and Diaa Hadid | Associated Press   September 04, 2014

FNAYDEK, Lebanon — Thousands of angry mourners marched through this town in a funeral procession Wednesday and buried a Lebanese soldier beheaded by Islamic militants.

The mourners accused the government of neglect for failing to negotiate the release of Sergeant Ali Sayid, 29. Officials are racing to free about two dozen more members of the country’s security forces who remain held captive by Syria-based militants, including the extremist Islamic State group.

‘‘He was betrayed by all the politicians, all of them! By parliamentarians and officials, and by the country. He was sold for a cheap price!’’ Sayid’s uncle, Ahmad Sayid, shouted during the funeral, in a tearful speech carried on Lebanese television.

As he spoke, mourners fired guns in the air, packing the main street of his impoverished northern Lebanese hometown of Fnaydek. They jostled to help to carry the coffin, wrapped in a Lebanese flag. Mourners rocked the coffin, a Lebanese tradition that acknowledges the youth of the dead person.

Sayid, a Sunni, went missing as militants from Syria overran the border town of Arsal for several days in August, kidnapping and killing soldiers and police. The militants included the Islamic State group and Al Qaeda’s Syrian affiliate, the Nusra Front, both of whom are holding captives.

SILLI Al-CIA-Duh, and it is NOT FUNNY ANYMORE!!!!!!!!!!

Sayid surfaced in a video later announcing his defection from the army and his loyalty to the Islamic State group, but he may have spoken under duress. Later, another video surfaced of Sayid being decapitated by militants of the Islamic State group, according to photos posted on social networks on Aug. 28.

OMG!!! This is the first I seen of this, but the way this war pre$$ is furiously shoveling over here one can only conclude we are being fed another fake for the narrative.
