Slow Saturday Special: Walking the Streets of Boston

Have a lot of catching up to do before football Sunday so I will have to hustle:

"Workers from the Mayor’s Office of Neighborhood Services are going to walk all 850 miles of Boston’s streets in an attempt to fully assess neighborhoods, Mayor Martin J. Walsh announced Friday. The Neighborhood Engagement Walks Boston initiative — known as NEW Boston — is set to begin Sept. 15 and will hopefully be finished by the end of the year, the mayor’s office said in a prepared statement."

"Police release photos of suspect in attack on NU student" by Kiera Blessing | Globe Correspondent   September 05, 2014

Boston police on Friday released surveillance photos in their investigation of an attack on a Northeastern University student in Mission Hill early Thursday.

The student was walking home from work near 578 Huntington Ave. about 4:20 a.m. Thursday when a man grabbed her by the neck from behind and pulled her into an alley, police said.

The victim screamed, alerting a nearby residence hall security officer and causing the suspect to flee, according to police.

The suspect is described as black, 18 to 25 years old, about 6 feet tall with a medium build. He was wearing a gray sweatshirt and gray sweatpants at the time of the assault.

Police have posted images from a nearby surveillance camera at bpdnews.com.

Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call Boston police....
