"Two Boston women arrested for alleged two-state shoplifting scheme
Two Boston women were arrested Friday after they allegedly carried out a $6,000 shoplifting scheme in two states, authorities said. Ana Oliveira, 44, and Melissa Lopes, 32, were arrested on larceny charges after staff from numerous stores at the Square One Mall in Saugus told police the women were shoplifting and ferrying items to their vehicle, before going back into the mall to steal more, Saugus police said in a statement. Lopes and Oliveira allegedly stole 435 items, valued at a total of $6,000, from 15 different stores in Saugus and in Kittery, Maine, police said."
