Slow Saturday Special: Terrorists Attacked Casino in Canada

Maybe they are not such a good idea after all:

"Two Royal Canadian Mounted Police officers were seriously wounded Saturday, with one suffering life-threatening injuries, after they were shot at a casino in the central Alberta city of St. Albert. The RCMP said the suspect in the shootings was found dead by police in a private residence in a rural area east of St. Albert where police had tracked him after the shootings."

You know what the solution is, right?

"Canada to toughen terrorism laws" Associated Press  January 31, 2015

TORONTO — Canada will introduce new laws that will make it a crime to encourage terrorism against Canadians, Prime Minister Stephen Harper said Friday in response to two recent attacks.

The laws will also allow anyone suspected of being involved in a terror plot to be detained without charge for up to seven days, and empower Canada’s spy agency to thwart attacks directly in a significant expansion of their powers.

They gonna set up pathetic patsies like the FBI.

Work on legislation began in October after a gunman killed a soldier at Canada’s national war memorial and then stormed Parliament. The attack in Ottawa came two days after another man, said to be inspired by the Islamic State group, ran over two soldiers in a parking lot in Quebec, killing one and injuring the other before being shot to death.
