The Russian Key

One wonders why we are always needling them then.

Well, not really. War require war-mongers to start them.

"Russia looms large at talks" by Associated Press | February 21, 2009

KRAKOW, Poland - The Obama administration wants to start fresh with Russia and the time is near to resume wider NATO cooperation with Moscow despite its invasion of Georgia last summer, Defense Secretary Robert Gates said yesterday.

Yeah, NEVER MIND that it was GEORGIA that started it (at USraeli behest) by attacking South Ossetia. When the MSM CONTINUES to LIE what are we to think out here?

Gates also expressed satisfaction with small NATO pledges of additional help in the war in Afghanistan, although none approached the US announcement this week of 17,000 new forces for the war. Gates suggested that President Obama would save heavier lobbying for a NATO summit in April.

Yup, CHANGE! That's the SAME THING BUSH WOULD BE DOING if he were still in office!

"Our new president has not yet asked anybody for anything," Gates said at a news conference at the close of a gathering of NATO defense chiefs.

Other than for the American people to poop-pucker for wasteful bailouts of looting corporations.

Russia was conspicuously absent from the session, but Moscow's agenda and its relations with neighbors and the United States were at the center of much of the discussion. US goals - from new traction in Afghanistan to hanging onto a strategic air base in Kyrgyzstan to shielding allies from Iranian aggression - involve Russia....

Iranian aggression? WHERE? They have NOT ATTACKED anyone since the time of Xerxes!!!!!

Now, ISRAEL and the U.S. on the other hand.... what, FOUR INVASIONS in just the last EIGHT YEARS, right?

And a touche poke in the eye by the Russians

"Russia offering helicopters to Bolivia" by Associated Press | February 17, 2009

MOSCOW - Bolivia will receive helicopters from Russia to help fight drugs and assistance to develop energy resources in the poor South American country, the Russian president said yesterday. The moves were part of Moscow's push for more clout in Latin America....

Morales and Russian President Dmitry Medvedev signed a declaration emphasizing their similar positions on global issues and opposition to US policies, including the decades-old embargo against Cuba, plans for a missile shield in Europe and NATO expansion. Morales praised the resurgence of Russian attention to Latin America....

Yeah, maybe the U.S. ought to be more worried about what is happening in its backyard than invading Middle East nations for Israel, huh?
