Occupation Iraq: Protecting Terrorists

Didn't Bush say something about harboring 'em?

BAGHDAD - The Archbishop of Canterbury said yesterday that the United States and Iraq must protect the residents of Iraq’s Camp Ashraf from violence and abuse.

I know that name rings a bell:

Occupation Iraq: U.S. Harbors Terrorists

Occupation Iraq: A Hostile Regime

So he wants the U.S. to protect terrorists so they can meddle in Iran, huh?

Archbishop Rowan Williams, the spiritual leader of the worldwide Anglican Church, said a United Nations monitoring team must be established to visit the camp in a statement on his website:

[The situation in Camp Ashraf] constitutes a humanitarian and human rights issue of real magnitude and urgency. There is a strong argument in terms of international law that the Ashraf residents are 'protected persons.' Both the government of Iraq and the government of the United States - as the agency responsible for the transfer of the residents to another jurisdiction - have an obligation to secure the rights of these residents and to defend them from violence and abuse.’’

One wishes he were so enthusiastic over the people of Palestine.
