"First swine flu doses may arrive Oct. 5" by Associated Press | September 26, 2009

ATLANTA - The first swine flu vaccine should be in some doctors’ offices as early as Oct. 5, US health officials said yesterday.

These early supplies of vaccine will protect 6 million to 7 million people. Over time, the government expects to have a total of 250 million doses of the new vaccine, although 10 percent of that has been promised to other countries.

That's almost one for everyone, isn't it?

The US vaccine shipments will go directly to doctors, clinics, and other providers designated by each state, officials of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said at a press conference. Most of the initial doses will be in a nasal spray form, but the majority of the vaccine administered during the flu season will be given as shots.

CDC officials also said swine flu is widespread in 26 states now, up from 21 a week ago.

Seasonal flu shot may increase H1N1 risk

The intensity of the outbreak is declining slightly in the Southeast. The percentage of doctor’s office visits for flu-like illnesses fell slightly in Georgia and some other states.

So which is it? Man, I am sick of this yo-yo ride!

The CDC doesn’t have an exact count of swine flu deaths and hospitalizations, but existing reports suggest....

Isn't that their job?

Don't want us to know it is a hyped scare, huh?
