Crazy Khadafy

I didn't see the speech, but from the short news clip I saw the guy looked absolutely ghastly. He looked like a ghoul with those black hollows where the eyes should have been.

"Obama signals new direction; UN speech stresses unity; Says US must not act alone" by Farah Stockman, Globe Staff | September 24, 2009

UNITED NATIONS - In a jarring contrast, minutes after President Obama spoke of the need for greater cooperation Libyan leader Moammar Khadafy took the podium to deliver an incoherent, 95-minute tirade that seemed to allege that swine flu was created in a laboratory, and that the United Nations was borne of a powerful conspiracy.

Interesting.

Khadafy, who wore long bedouin robes, talked in sentences so convoluted that often his translator seemed stumped. At one point, he threw the charter of the United Nations on the floor, complaining about the five nations who hold veto power on the influential Security Council.

“We do not accept that the Security Council has superpowers,’’ said Khadafy, in his own first address before the world body. “This is terrorism itself.’’

Khadafy, who has in the past refrained from attending the annual UN meeting of world leaders because he considered the United States an enemy, praised Obama as a “son.’’ But he complained that travel restrictions placed on him for his own security in New York were akin to restrictions on prisoners in Guantanamo Bay, perhaps a veiled reference to the decision to prevent him from pitching a bedouin tent in Central Park to sleep....

UNITED NATIONS - The impact of Khadafy’s rambling speech was stunning. Half the cavernous chamber, packed for President Obama’s first speech to the UN General Assembly, emptied out. Delegates’ faces seemed angry, quizzical, fatigued....

“It should not be called the Security Council, it should be called the ‘Terror Council,’ ’’ Khadafy said....

Delegates began walking out on Khadafy. There was amazement and disbelief. Others laughed or smiled....

And when Khadafy finally concluded, delegates lightly applauded and no one stood. But Khadafy clasped his hands above him and waved in triumph as he left....

I notice the Zionist AmeriKan MSM completely avoided the referrals to the JFK assassination. Sort of makes you see this next item differently, huh?

CAIRO - Egypt’s culture minister yesterday blamed a conspiracy “cooked up in New York’’ by the world’s Jews for keeping him from becoming the next head of the UN’s agency for culture and education.

Farouk Hosny was defeated on Tuesday by Bulgarian diplomat Irina Bokova in a tight race for the position of UNESCO chair. “It was clear by the end of the competition that there was a conspiracy against me,’’ Hosny told reporters at the airport upon his return from Paris.

I can't remember the last time I saw the MSM use that word so many times in so little space.

Of course, there is only one conspiracy and that's 19 Arabs from caves with box-cutters dropping steel towers at free-fall speed into their own footprints.

“There are a group of the world’s Jews who had a major influence in the elections who were a serious threat to Egypt taking this position,’’ he said.

Oh, I thought he was talking AmeriKa there for a second.

Hosny’s candidacy raised an outcry because of a threat he made in the Egyptian Parliament last year to personally burn any Israeli book he found in Egypt’s famed Library of Alexandria. While he later apologized and Israel said it had withdrawn its opposition to his candidacy, several prominent Jewish activists spoke out against his UNESCO bid.

“It’s not on the eve of an election that one can change one’s whole personality and one’s whole approach to life,’’ said Shimon Samuels of the Simon Wiesenthal Center in Paris. Nobel laureate Elie Wiesel, French philosopher Bernard-Henri Levy, and filmmaker Claude Lanzmann wrote a letter opposing Hosny’s candidacy.

The Egyptian is paranoid, but they are out to get him.

Yeah, all those Arabs believe in strange "conspiracy theories" -- like Israel being the real driving force behind 9/11 and US imperialism.

And Khadafy REALLY MUST BE CRAY to allow THIS on his soil:

"Elite British forces reportedly training Libyan troops" by Raphael G. Satter, Associated Press | September 13, 2009

LONDON - Some of Britain’s most elite soldiers have been training Libyan forces in counterterrorism and surveillance for the past six months, a newspaper said yesterday.

The Daily Telegraph said a contingent of four to 14 men from the Special Air Service, or SAS, were working with Colonel Moammar Khadafy’s soldiers in Libya, a country once notorious for its support of terrorism.... Britain’s secretive SAS is among the world’s most respected commando units. It was created during World War II for attacks behind Axis lines....

Would YOU want THEM in your country?

Britain’s thirst for Libya’s oil and gas resources was again thrust into the spotlight earlier this month when it was reported that Brown had refused to lobby Khadafy for compensation for the Britons killed and injured by Libyan-supplied plastic explosives used by the Irish Republican Army in the 1980s and ’90s.

Well, THAT'S a REAL CIRCLE JERK seeing as it was the BRITISH SETTING UP THOSE IRISH BLOKES!

In a letter written last year to a survivor of one of the IRA bombings, then-junior Foreign Office Minister Bill Rammell explained that Libya was now “a vital partner . . . in guaranteeing a secure energy future for the UK.’’

The paper cited an unidentified SAS source as saying that the training was seen as part of the deal to release Lockerbie bomber Abdel Baset al-Megrahi, whose return to Libya last month outraged Americans and raised questions over the nature of Britain’s relationship with Khadafy’s authoritarian regime.

Britain’s military refused to comment on the Telegraph’s report. The Foreign Office said Britain had “ongoing cooperation with Libya in the field of defense,’’ but refused to comment on the issue of special forces. It denied in a statement that the defense cooperation had anything to do with Megrahi’s release. Prime Minister Gordon Brown and other officials have emphasized Libya’s remarkable transformation from rogue state to Western ally and the need to keep Khadafy on board since he renounced terrorism and dismantled his country’s clandestine nuclear program in 2003.

Usually the trick turns the other way. So how do they explain yesterday?

But media reports have suggested that the prisoner-exchange agreement that paved the way for Megrahi’s release was motivated in part by a desire to secure access to Libya’s vast energy reserves.

Oh, that's how -- and what this all about, bottom line.

Justice Secretary Jack Straw of Britain seemed to endorse that contention when he told the Telegraph last week that trade played “a very big part’’ in the negotiations over the prisoner deal....
