Lieberman Gets Last Word on Lockerbie

Well, almost....

First a Slow Saturday special that alludes to the truth
:

"Lockerbie saga unlikely to damage Libya, West relations; Welcome home of bomber stirs outrage" by Jill Lawless, Associated Press | August 22, 2009

LONDON - .... It was an unusually low-key approach for a country that used to snap up any opportunity to snub the West and could easily bring out hundreds of thousands to cheer if it so chose....

Yeah, the only protests not state-sanctioned or otherwise contaminated are the state-sanctioned, MSM-approved, agenda-pushing protests of the West (think Iran, readers).

Megrahi is the only man convicted in the bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 over Lockerbie, Scotland. The explosion of a bomb hidden in the cargo hold killed all 259 people on the plane and 11 on the ground in Britain’s worst terrorist attack....

Although the legal story of Lockerbie is now over, some argue that the full truth about the attack may never be known.

Well, TOLD, anyway!

Although Libya accepted formal responsibility for the bombing, many there see Megrahi as an innocent victim scapegoated by the West.

Or WORSE (see items below)!

The Libyan’s lawyers have argued the attack was the result of an Iranian-financed Palestinian plot, and a 2007 Scottish judicial review of Megrahi’s case found grounds for an appeal of his conviction....

Oh, really? Ha!

--more--"

And as promised:

“This is a real setback for the anti-terrorist cause and takes our relations with Libya back to where they were for too long, a bad place,’’ US Senator Joseph Lieberman, a Connecticut independent, told CNN."

What, you
lose McCain somewhere, Joe?

Or did HE lose YOU?

I owe it to you to give you this stuff, readers

"MORE EVIDENCE ON LOCKERBIE APPEARS TO IMPLICATE THE CIA
1.
Was the Lockerbie bomber a US spy?

In 2008, Scotland's top legal expert, professor Robert Black, urged the UK government to answer reports that there is evidence that Abu Nidal was a US agent.

Black believes Abu Nidal was responsible for co-ordinating the bomb that blew up Pan Am flight 103 over Lockerbie

In 1993, Margaret Thatcher, in her memoirs, wrote that after she backed the US bombing of Tripoli in 1986, “There was a marked decline in Libyan-sponsored terrorism in succeeding years.”

The Lockerbie bombing took place in 1988. - Was Lockerbie suspect working for US? - Scotsman.com News

2. Apparently, both the US ambassador to Lebanon, John McCarthy, and the South African Foreign Minister Pik Botha had their travel plans altered at the last minute in order to avoid PanAm 103.

Others, including Charles McKee, a US Army Special Forces Major, and Matthew Gannon, the CIA's Beirut deputy station chief, uniquely amongst US officials, changed their plans at the last minute to fly on PanAm 103. - LOCKERBIE BALONEY UNRAVELS - Mombu the Culture Forum

3. Minutes before PanAm flight 103 took off from London's Heathrow airport, FBI Assistant Director Oliver 'Buck' Revell took his son and daughter-in-law off the plane. [1001]

Revell was an associate of Lt. Colonel Oliver North who was linked to Iran-Contra. .[1002]

North ‘was a business associate of Syrian arms and drug runner Monzer al-Kassar.’ [1003] - Lockerbie - Constitution Society

Monzer al Kassar, allegedly worked for Oliver North and allegedly was part of Operation Corea.

4. The Herald newspaper was told that the CIA offered $2m (£1m) to the key witness in the Lockerbie trial and his brother.

"Recently discovered papers" show that Scottish police officers were aware the US intelligence service had discussed financial terms with Tony Gauci and his brother, Paul.
Revealed: CIA offered $2m to Lockerbie witness and brother

5. On 17 April 1999, Russell Warren Howe, in the Guardian, explained how Israeli intelligence was among those that had a motive for blowing up Pan Am 103 over Lockerbie. (What if they are innocent? UK news guardian.co.uk)

According to Howe:

In 1986 a bomb exploded at Berlin's La belle disco club. Libya was blamed, on false evidence, and Reagan bombed Tripoli.

German TV exposed how the CIA and Mossad had links to the 1986 Berlin disco bombing.

Victor Ostrovsky is a Canadian who worked for Mossad.

According to Ostrovsky, Mossad tried to frame Libya by transmitting a fake message.

Ostrovsky testified that it was Mossad who set up a transmitter in Tripoli that generated a false signal about the "success" of the Berlin bomb.

There was a similar 'fake' message about Lockerbie, which may be the work of Mossad.

In one of his books, the author Gordon Thomas argues that the tagging and smuggling aboard of the lethal Lockerbie suitcase was organised by Mossad.

Gordon Thomas recounts how a Mossad officer from the London station turned up in Lockerbie just after the crash, and arranged for the removal of a suitcase belonging to a US intelligence officer in the US Defence Intelligence Agency , Charles McKee.

McKee's case was found after the crash by Jim Wilson of Tundergarth Mains farm, and contained what looked to Wilson like cocaine or heroin samples.

Within hours the Lockerbie bombing, two planeloads of 'US intelligence people' arrived at the site, and a Scottish radio reporter, David Johnston, soon heard that the bomb's target had been a group of US intelligence officials travelling back from Beirut.

McKee's suitcase "presumably contained his files on the CIA-Hizbullah-Mossad drugs ring" which McKee had discovered.

"Defence sources in Washington agree ... that McKee's group had been frustrated by the cover-up of the CIA drugs scheme (OPERATION COREA), and was returning home to insist that it be exposed."

What about Iran?

It is unlikely that Iran would use "a secular, even Marxist, Arab nationalist" member of a Palestinian cell to attack the USA.

It is entirely possible that Megrahi ... is being framed.

6. In 2007, Phillip Marlowe wrote an article entitled: The COREA Connection? Part I …

From this we learn:

Amiran Nir worked as Israel’s terrorism consultant to PM Shimon Peres.

Nir worked with the US on the Iran-Contra, Arms for Hostages deal; jointly run by the US and Israel.

Nir teaming up with Col. Oliver North in these efforts.

Nir is thought to have had incriminating evidence on Bush.

Nir was lured to Mexico to die in a mysterious plane accident.

A US Navy commander has claimed that George H. W. Bush, Sr. and Amiran Nir met at Jerusalem’s King David Hotel on July 29, 1986 to brief him on the Arms for Hostages deal.

According to Joel Bainerman: “Nir was secretly taping the entire conversation. And this provided evidence linking Bush to the Arms for Hostages deal. At the meeting were McKee and Gannon, who would die in the Pan Am flight 103 over Lockerbie.”

Nir may have had evidence of Bush’s involvement in Iran-Contra and even in the COREA drug smuggling group?

7. In 1988, the FBI's Robert Mueller supervised the Lockerbie Bombing investigation.

"He successfully kept the CIA's connection to the bombing from becoming public.

"The CIA and FBI took control of the crash scene for the first day (keeping Scottish police at bay), searching through and removing numerous pieces of evidence and luggage from the wreckage to obscure the connections of the bombing to the CIA special team that was on board the aircraft.

"One CIA defector has said that the team had been returning to the states against orders to blow the whistle on CIA drug and terrorist connections in the Middle East." - FEDERAL BUREAU OF INVESTIGATION ·

"Reportedly, Khaisar Haddad, known as Abu Elias, was an agent of the U.S. government and carried out the Lockerbie bombing

Reportedly, Khaisar Haddad, known as Abu Elias, a Lebanese Christian, is the real Lockerbie bomber.

Reportedly, Khaisar Haddad, known as Abu Elias, worked for the US government and now lives near the White House.

An American is to be named by the Lockerbie bomber as the man who really carried out the terrorist attack on Pan Am Flight 103.

(Scottish Sunday Express 'I'll reveal true identity of the Bomber.)

According to The Scottish Sunday Express:

1. Megrahi is to name the real Lockerbie bomber.

2. The Scottish Sunday Express tracked this man down to his home in the US.

3. The man, codenamed Abu Elias, has links to the US intelligence services.

4. Elias works as a schools engineer for the US government.

5. Christine Grahame Member of the Scottish Parliament , is believed to be considering naming the man in the Scottish Parliament chamber.

She said: "It is apparent that US intelligence has known or must have known the primary suspect of the Lockerbie bombing was alive and living safely in Washington.

"There has been a suggestion made that he is in some way an 'intelligence asset' for the US and that is why he has been allowed to live in peace.

"He must be deeply relieved that Megrahi was forced to drop his appeal and that he will never face justice for this atrocity."

6. Abu Elias reportedly now lives just a few miles from the White House.

7. He is the nephew of Ahmed Jibril, the founder of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine – General Command (PFLP-GC).

8. A document submitted to the appeal court by Megrahi’s lawyers states: "The FBI had apparently investigated ‘X’ and knew he was the nephew of Ahmed Jibril.

"X had met with FBI special agents [an appointment was in his diary for August 1988] but neither X nor the Department of Justice would disclose who the agents were or the precise purpose of the recorded meeting.

"X admitted the meeting had taken place. Extracts from his US passport were revealed.

9. Elias was also connected to Mohammed Abu Talb, an Egyptian named by Dumfries and Galloway Police as their chief suspect less than a year after the bombing.

10. The true identity of ‘Elias’ first came to light during a closed hearing at the Lockerbie trial in 2001.

The defence claim that attempts to investigate further were dismissed by the then Lord Advocate, Colin Boyd.

11. In October 1988, German police raided a PFLP-GC safe house in Neuss and discovered a bomb identical to the one which exploded on board Flight 103, as well as a Pan Am timetable.

The raid resulted in 16 arrests including that of cell leader Hafez Dalkamoni and Marwan Khreesat, a double agent for the Jordanian intelligence service.

Khreesat told the FBI that he had been introduced to a man called Abu Elias, an explosives and airline security expert, who had been 'giving orders'.

12. A member of the terror cell, Mobdi Goben, disclosed Elias’s true identity in a deathbed confession which became known as the Goben Memorandum.

Goben claimed Elias placed a bomb in the luggage of Khaled Jafar, a Lebanese American from Detroit who died on Pan Am Flight 103.

13. A source close to Megrahi said: "Not only was Abu Elias known to the Americans .... The guy comes into the US from the former Soviet Union, he’s the nephew of Ahmed Jibril – the Bin Laden of his day – and he just strolls into the US?

"...An American double agent was responsible for bringing down an American plane. How good a reason for a cover-up would that be?"

~~

The Palestine Liberation Organization reported that the Lockerbie bomb was built by Khaisar Haddad (a.k.a. Abu Elias). (Pan Am 103 Why Did They Die? - TIME )

Reportedly Ahmed Jibril (founder and leader of the PFLP-GC) had a base near Frankfort.

Khaisar Haddad, known as Abu Elias, is the nephew of Ahmed Jibril.

Reportedly, Jibril had links to alleged drugs dealer al-Kassar, who allegedly was working with the CIA in smuggling drugs into the USA on PanAm flights.

Former UK Labour MP Tam Dalyell and Edinburgh law professor Robert Black have urged the Scottish and UK governments to answer reports that Abu Nidal was a US agent.

"They have long believed Abu Nidal, who died in Iraq in 2002, and his PFLP-GC, Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine General Command, were responsible for co-ordinating the bomb that blew up Pan Am flight 103 over Lockerbie on 21 December, 1988 with the loss of 270 lives."

~~"

And MOST DISTURBING of all:

"LOCKERBIE AND THE FINANCING OF 9 11

1. In the Lockerbie case, all the evidence against Megrahi has apparently been shown to be fake. (LOCKERBIE BOMBING EVIDENCE 'PLANTED' - Mail on Sunday 21 December 2008)

There is a growing belief that the CIA used its own agents to bring down PanAm 103.

The chief suspects, Khaisar Haddad and Abu Nidal of the PFLP-GC, reportedly worked for the CIA. Ahmed Jibril of the PFLP-GC had links to CIA-asset and drugs dealer Monzer al-Kassar.

(Was Lockerbie suspect working for US? - Scotsman.com News / Reportedly, Khaisar Haddad, known as Abu Elias, was an agent of the US government and carried out the Lockerbie Bombing.)

2. The evidence against Iran would appear to be totally fake Mossad disinformation.

Ahmed Jibril, of the PFLP-GC, is alleged to have received $11 million from Iran. (Bombing of Pan Am Flight 103: Facts.)

However, a banking audit trail to confirm the payment has never been presented. (disinformation about Iran?)

In 1986 there was a bomb in a Berlin disco.

German TV exposed the CIA, Mossad links to the 1986 Berlin La Belle disco bombing.

Victor Ostrovsky, former Mossad agent, testified that Mossad set up a transmitter in Tripoli to generate a false signal about the "success" of the Berlin disco bomb and thus falsely implicate Libya. (MORE EVIDENCE ON LOCKERBIE APPEARS TO IMPLICATE THE CIA)

Mossad wanted the Berlin disco bomb to be blamed on Libya rather than the CIA and Mossad.

PFLP-GC, part of the left-wing, secular Palestinian national liberation movement, was supposed to have been used by Iran.

However, it is unlikely that Iran would use "a secular, even Marxist, Arab nationalist" member of a Palestinian cell to attack the USA. - MORE EVIDENCE ON LOCKERBIE APPEARS TO IMPLICATE THE CIA

3. The Lockerbie release could topple the SNP government.

Lockerbie has had Reverberations for the SNP.

4. Libya was framed and now Iran may be framed, but the evidence points to misdeeds by the CIA and the Scottish criminal justice system. - $2m witness payment, bogus forensic evidence and Pentagon memo blaming Iran: How Lockerbie bomber appeal threatened Scottish justice

5. Reportedly, Khaisar Haddad, known as Abu Elias, was an agent of the US government and carried out the Lockerbie Bombing.

But if you look for this story on Google news, you may find it is given little prominence.

And many blogs will ignore this story.

Many Americans refuse to face the reality of Operation Northwoods and Operation Gladio.

6. Lockerbie is linked to 9 11

22 January 1963, Mexico City, at "La Reforma" nightclub. Shown, clockwise from front left, are alleged to be: David Sanchez Morales, Porter Goss (arm around Morales), Barry Seal, Guillermo Novo Sampol, Ignacio Novo Sampol; Carlos Alberto de Diego Aday, Richard Cain (unconfirmed), Arsenio Felipe de Diego Aday, Tosh Plumlee and Virgilio Gonzalez. A reader adds this correction: "The fellow w/ moustache in the front right is William Houston Seymour, an Oswald look-alike; next to him, hiding his face, is Frank Sturgis, one of the hobos caught in a train yard not far from the Grassy Knoll, and one of the Watergate burglars. The man in the front left 'is Felix Rodriguez, one of the CIA's most vicious assassins, whose long list of murders includes that of Che Guevara in Bolivia...'"

Reportedly, it was Mossad that suggested that the CIA, with the help of Monzer al Kassar, could smuggle heroin from Lebanon into the USA.

(BBC News WORLD Lockerbie: Conspiracy theories)

Reportedly, Monzer al Kassar, a Syrian, was a CIA asset.

Reportedly, profits from Lebanese heroin were used by the CIA to help finance 9 11.

Reportedly, Mohamed Atta flew heroin for the CIA into Florida.

Goss, allegedly linked to heroin and 9 11.

From an article entitled Robert Gates, Lockerbie, October Surprise, Iran-Contra, we learn of the following allegation:

Reportedly, al Kassar would have known about Mohamed Atta 'flying Lebanese heroin into Florida for Porter Goss's 911 operation'.

Reportedly, tied to Porter Goss' 911 training operation in Florida were the Muslim Brotherhood, and agents of the intelligence agencies of Saudi Arabia, Germany, Syria and Pakistan.

Kassar, who may have been a CIA asset, and whose name is linked to Lockerbie.

On 20 November 2008, Monzer Al Kassar, following a three-week jury trial in Manhattan federal court, was found guilty of:

conspiracy to murder U.S. nationals, conspiracy to murder U.S. officers and employees, conspiracy to acquire and export anti-aircraft missiles, conspiracy to provide material support and resources to the Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias de Colombia (FARC), a designated foreign terrorist organization, and money laundering. (International Arms Dealer and Cohort Convicted on Terrorism Offenses)

Reportedly, since the early 1970s, Al Kassar was a source of weapons and military equipment for groups engaged in violent conflicts around the world.

Some of those groups included the Palestinian Liberation Front (PLF).

Reportedly, Al Kassar developed an international network of criminal associates, as well as front companies and bank accounts in various countries, including the United Kingdom, Spain, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Poland, Bulgaria and Romania.

Photo of Kassar

Monzer al-Kassar, born in Syria in 1945, is known as the "Prince of Marbella."

Kassar is married to a sister of Ali Issa Dubah, a former chief of Syrian intelligence, and a close associate of Rifat Assad, the brother of Syria's former President Hafez Assad.

Kassar is said to have been a CIA asset, involved with Colonel Oliver North and General Richard Secord. ('Confession of an Iranian Terror Czar')

Reportedly, Rifat Assad, 'the Syrian boss of the Lebanese heroin industry', and Monzer al-Kassar took over Lebanon's Bekaa Valley in 1975 with the help of the Syrian Army.

Allegedly, heroin was transported from the Bekaa Valley to the USA on PanAm flights with the help of Kassar and elements of the CIA. (If Not Megrahi Then Who Is Really Responsible (from The Herald ))

Kassar has been linked to the Lockerbie Bombing.

On board Pan Am 103, on 21 December 1988, were Major Charles McKee, of the the US Defence Intelligence Agency in Beirut, and Matthew Gannon, CIA Deputy Station Chief in Beirut.

McKie and his team had reportedly discovered evidence that a 'rogue' CIA unit called COREA, was involved in the drugs business with Monzar Al-Kassar. (Part XIX(D): AN IRAN-CONTRA/AL QAEDA READER, cont'd)

Reportedly Al-Kassar 'was part of the secret network run by US Lt. Colonel Oliver North.'

Outraged that COREA was doing business with a Syrian 'who made money from drugs, arms and terrorism', the McKee team reportedly 'decided to fly to CIA HQ in Virginia to expose COREA'.

They flew on Pan Am flight 103 which came down over Lockerbie.

It has been alleged that Kassar has received regular CIA money deposited to his credit at the Katherein Bank, Vienna (A/c No. 50307495) and at the Swiss Bank Corporation in Geneva (A/c No. 510230C-86). ('Confession of an Iranian Terror Czar')

Kassar is said to be a very major arms and drugs smuggler.

In 1987, investigations into the Iran-Contra scandal found that al-Kassar had been paid 1.5 million pounds by someone in the U.S. government to sell arms to Nicaraguan Contras. (Monzer al-Kassar - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia)

In 1992, al-Kassar made arms sales in the millions of dollars to Croatia, Bosnia and Somalia, violating United Nations arms embargoes to all three countries.

According to the US Drugs Enforcement Agency, Al-Kassar once imported 20 % of the heroin that came into the United States. (FTR-109 Monzer Al-Kassar & Co)

In 1992, the Spanish government arrested Kassar for his alleged involvement in the Achille Lauro hijacking. In 1995, and he was found not guilty on all charges.

In July 2006, the government of Iraq placed Kassar at number 26 on their "most wanted" list, calling him one of the main suppliers for the Iraqi insurgents.

On 8 June 2007, the DEA (US Drug Enforcement Administration) announced the arrest in Spain of Monzer al Kassar. This was said to be linked to arms sales to rebels in Colombia.

Kassar was arrested just days before the Libyan convicted of the Lockerbie bombing was granted a second extraordinary appeal and 'just days after Blair went to Tripoli to negotiate a deal that would save him the embarrassment of a fresh appeal.' ('Confession of an Iranian Terror Czar')
