German Politics a Laugh Riot

Except it is not funny to everyone....

Only my Zionist papers think it's a joke, huh?

Hey, welcome to the insult club, Germans!

And ARREST THIS GUY, will ya?

"Comedian’s spoof campaign perks up German elections; 18 percent say they would pick him for chancellor" by Kirsten Grieshaber, Associated Press | August 21, 2009

BERLIN - .... Horst Schlaemmer’s campaign platform? Every German should receive a guaranteed salary equivalent to $3,500, starting a month from the day of birth right up until the day of death.

Other planks include eliminating smoking bans, making visits to the tanning salon free, and including cosmetic surgery in the country’s health care regime. He’s even pledged to ditch Germany’s eagle emblem in favor of a bunny.

I'm glad politics is taken so seriously when so many lives are on the line.

Kerkeling’s film is reminiscent of the work of British comedian Sacha Baron Cohen as “Borat’’ or “Bruno.’’

That explains it all, the MSM coverage, the insulting article, everything: Boston Globe Bashes Ron Paul With Borat

Schlaemmer’s promises may sound silly, but real campaign pledges by Steinmeier to create 4 million jobs over the next decade, or the opposition Left Party’s pledge of “wealth for everyone,’’ strike most Germans as no less implausible.

And if the "real" politicians promises are as bulls*** as the jokers, well... sorry for you, Germans. I know how it feels.

Merkel’s campaign so far has been remarkably short of specific proposals, beyond a vague promise of tax relief....

Sounds like an AmeriKan campaign.
