Occupation Iraq: Throwing the Shoe Out With the Bomb Blasts

Guy should never have been in jail (where he was tortured) anyway; he's a HERO to the WORLD!

"Bush shoe-hurler to be freed soon

BAGHDAD - An Iraqi journalist jailed after hurling his shoes at President George W. Bush will be released Sept. 14, after his sentence was reduced for good behavior, his lawyer said yesterday. Muntadhar al-Zeidi has been in custody since the Dec. 14 outburst, which occurred as Bush was holding a joint news conference with Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki. He was initially sentenced to three years after pleading not guilty to assaulting a foreign leader, then the court reduced it to one year because the journalist had no prior criminal history.

"Truck bombs kill at least 16 in Iraq

....While there were no immediate claims of responsibility for Saturday's attacks, suicide vehicle bombings are the hallmark of al-Qaida in Iraq. A front group for the terrorist organization has claimed responsibility for the recent ministry bombings.

Iraq has demanded Syria hand over two suspects wanted in those bombings....

Wow, that's
tortured logic!

They allegedly HATE EACH OTHER!

I think WE KNOW WHO is BEHIND all this, no?

I'm SURE "Al-CIA-Duh" could be working with Hussein loyalists!

TWO truck bombs struck separate communities north of Baghdad yesterday, killing at least 16 people. The blasts are the latest attacks indicating insurgents are targeting relatively unprotected areas....

a recent series of high-profile bombings... has raised concerns that Iraqi forces are not up to the task of protecting the population....

So we are JUST GOING to have to STAY, America?

Iraqi forces have stepped up security in Baghdad and other cities in Iraq since an Aug. 19 double suicide truck bombing in the Iraqi capital that targeted the foreign and finance ministries. About 100 were killed.

How come AmeriK's MSM doesn't tell me that?

But remote villages often depend on a small security force for protection. Bombers have been exploiting that vulnerability in villages surrounding Mosul, mainly targeting ethnic minorities....

Saturday's deadliest attack came at about 8 a.m. when a suicide truck bomber attacked a small police station in the remote village of Hamad north of Baghdad, killing at least 12 people, including six police, said officials from the Iraqi army and police.

Police attempted to stop the truck, opening fire and forcing the attacker to change direction and slam into a concrete barrier near a market, they said. The blast damaged the police station and a number of nearby homes and shops, the officials said. Fifteen people were also wounded in the attack, said the police official.

Hamad is a primarily Sunni village that lies on the edge of Shirqat, a town between Saddam Hussein's hometown of Tikrit and Mosul, which the U.S. military considers to be the last urban stronghold of al-Qaida in Iraq.

So Al-CIA-Duh and its Hussein loyalists attacked THEMSELVES?

The attack comes three days after Iraqi police defused a car bomb in the same area, said Shirqat's police chief, Ali al-Jubouri....

The second attack occurred near Mosul in the city of Sinjar, where a parked truck bomb that exploded at about 10:15 a.m. killed at least four people and wounded 23 others, another police official said. All the officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to talk to the media.

The attack follows a double suicide bombing earlier this month in Sinjar that devastated a cafe packed with young people in northwestern Iraq, killing at least 21 people. The attacks in Sinjar, a city dominated by members of the Kurdish-speaking Yazidi religious group, come two years after a village nearby was hit by four suicide truck bombers nearly simultaneously, killing as many as 500 Yazidis.

Gee, look at all the "suiciders!"

BAGHDAD - Two bombers wearing suicide vests blew themselves up in a popular cafe crowded with young people in northwestern Iraq yesterday, killing 21 and wounding 30 others, local hospital officials said.

I don't even believe in that anymore.

Ever notice that the Globe carries ENDLESS STORIES from EVERYWHERE of "suicider" Muslims?

I simply NO LONGER BELIEVE the LYING, MUSLIM-HATING, ENEMY-CREATING, WAR-PROMOTING, Zionist AmeriKan newspapers. Never again.

It is the third major bombing in an area of Iraq in and around the violent city of Mosul, where ethnic tensions, insurgent activity, and political disputes have created a volatile mix that threatens the security gains made elsewhere in the country.

Blah, blah, blah. Why would this threaten the rest of the country? It's an absurd claim yet it passes as serious here in my newspaper. Sigh.

The attack was carried out in the city of Sinjar, which is populated primarily by Yazidis, Kurdish-speaking followers of a preIslamic faith with its roots in Zoroastrianism that remains based in an area near the Syrian border. Viewed as apostates by Sunni extremists, the Yazidis have been the victims of attacks in the past.

Oh, okay. Intolerant Muslims again.

Occupation Iraq: The New Mandaeans

Two years ago, a Yazidi village near Sinjar was devastated by one of the worst bombings in Iraq since the US invasion in 2003, when four trucks laden with explosives detonated nearly simultaneously, killing 313 and wounding 704 more. Following the attacks, Kurdish forces moved into the area and made a fortress of Sinjar and the surrounding villages, erecting earthen berms and establishing checkpoints even though the area is not a part of Kurdistan.

And that's a problem because ONLY WE CAN DO THAT!

See: Occupation Iraq: Baghdad is a Blast

Control over the area is one of the many flashpoints that continue to inflame Kurdish-Arab tensions. No group claimed responsibility for yesterday’s attack, which followed a series of bombings in the region around Mosul this week.

NOT AGAIN!!!!!!!!!

On Monday, twin truck bombs flattened the Shi’ite village of Khazna, killing 38 people, wounding more than 200, and destroying dozens of homes.

And CUI BONO, folks?!!!

The bomb site presented a familiar scene of carnage in Iraq, where the difference between life and death could hang on something as simple as stepping outside to take a phone call....

Pffft! Good Lord, what have we done to that place?

I notice the Zionist MSM rarely -- if ever -- mentions the WMD use in Fallujah or the depleted uranium use (warning: graphic photographs).
