Occupation Iraq: Relative Calm

What does that wonderful-sounding MSM term mean, readers?

"
Although violence has diminished since 2007, insurgents exact a steady toll with bombs and targeted killings that would amount to a crisis in most other countries"

Naw, you aren't be lied to by the war-promoting paper at all, 'murkn.

What is that they say about repeating lies?

"Suicide attacks target Iraqi police; Bombings kill 17; violence may rise as US departs" by Kim Gamel, Associated Press | September 8, 2009

BAGHDAD - .... Despite the relative calm, a series of deadly bombings have raised concerns about a resurgence of violence as the US military scales back its presence with a full withdrawal planned....

Gee, JUST as we are getting ready to LEAVE, huh?

Wow, that is
tortured logic.

The attacks.... also highlighted the weaknesses in the Iraqi security forces, which are struggling to prove they are ready to take over from the Americans.

And CUI BONO, 'eh?

Suicide attackers struck near a Shi’ite mosque north of Baghdad and a checkpoint west of the capital yesterday as bombings killed at least 17 people nationwide.

The mainly Sunni city of Baqubah also has been hit by several bombings despite an overall decline in violence.

In Baghdad yesterday, a bomb destroyed a police car, killing one officer and two civilians and wounding eight, police said. Another bomb killed a driver as he approached a military checkpoint in the Sadr City district.

The violence was concentrated in former Sunni insurgent strongholds that have seen a sharp decline in violence after local tribal leaders turned against Al Qaeda in Iraq....

Familiar with the term in one ear out the other?

That's the phenomena happening to me more and more when I read the propaganda, I mean, paper.
