Hidden Health Care Bill

Not like they stopped working on it because the MSM stopped talking about it.

"Pelosi says health care bill still on track - two tracks

WASHINGTON -- One option under consideration to circumvent the filibuster would be the use of a special budget procedure known as reconciliation. Such a procedure allows the Senate to pass certain parts of the legislation, those mainly linked to funding and taxes, by a simple majority of 51 votes.

After the changes are approved, the House would pass the full bill. Some Senate moderates, however, have expressed concern about using reconciliation to finish work on health care.

Pelosi insisted yesterday that Democrats will not abandon the comprehensive bill.

“We must take whatever time it takes to do it,’’ she said....

Translation: Let's pass it in the dead of night before a break when no one is looking.

And don't fall for the deception, readers:

WASHINGTON - President Obama, who insisted he would succeed where other presidents had failed to fix the nation’s health care system, now concedes that the effort might die in Congress.

The president’s newly conflicting signals could frustrate Democratic lawmakers who are hungry for guidance from the White House as they try to salvage the effort to extend coverage to millions of uninsured Americans and hold down spiraling medical costs....

Gee, they have the BS down pat.

"In the midst of a storm, president rallies party

WASHINGTON - President Obama renewed his call to find a way forward on his health care agenda....

“Just in case there’s any confusion out there, I am not going to walk away from health care reform,’’ Obama said, offering no specifics for how he intended to deliver on his pledge. “I’m not going to walk away on this challenge. I’m not going to walk away on any challenge. We’re moving forward.’’

I thought we got rid of the deceptions with the last guy.

Best two out of three?

WASHINGTON - White House officials said yesterday that Obama does not intend to restart the health care legislative process from scratch. Many liberal groups and lawmakers want congressional Democrats to use all the parliamentary muscle they have to enact the measure that the Senate passed on Christmas Eve, employing rules that could bypass GOP filibusters to make changes demanded by House Democrats.

The White House has not ruled out such a strategy....

So he is just as big a bulls***ter as Bush.

WASHINGTON - The former Clinton aides - now with think tanks, universities, the Obama administration, or lobbying firms - are a potent voice in the furious debate within the Democratic Party over how to salvage health care....

That's not change.

History is written by the victors, not the vanquished,’’ said Chris Jennings, congressional liaison for Hillary Rodham Clinton, during the 1990s debate. “Failure would serve as the ultimate judgment as to whether this effort was worth doing.’’

Thus we get state-sponsored history texts full of lies and an AmeriKan newspaper industry in the shape it is today.

Jennings, now a lobbyist, replaced Ira Magaziner, principal architect of the Clinton plan, as White House health policy adviser.

Hillary Rodham Clinton, now secretary of state, added that “it’s really hard’’ watching the travails of Obama’s plan. Clinton has been giving advice, as requested, to lawmakers in Congress and administration officials and said she’s still hopeful.

“I’m not sure that this last chapter has been written,’’ she told CNN’s “State of the Union’’ on Sunday....

No, it is being worked on behind closed doors as I type.

Today’s Senate bill - supported by Obama - resembles a plan drafted by a moderate Republican senator in the Clinton years....
