"In Iraq's bloodiest day of 2010, attacks kill 100" by Rebecca Santana and Lara Jakes, Associated Press Writer | May 10, 2010

BAGHDAD --A man with explosives strapped to his body blew himself up in a crowd, bombers struck a southern city and gunmen sprayed fire on security checkpoints in attacks Monday that killed at least 100 people -- most of them in Shiite areas -- in Iraq's deadliest day this year.

Officials were quick to blame insurgents linked to al-Qaida in Iraq for the shootings in the capital, saying the militants were redoubling efforts to destabilize the country at a time of political uncertainty over who will control the next government....

Oh, REALLY?

So which "
Al-CIA-Duh" would that be, huh?

The made-up "Al-CIA-Duh?"

Or the "Al-CIA-Duh" CREATION for the COURTROOM!?

Who is Bombing in Iraq? Are the bombers Al-Qaeda, the CIA or Israel?

How much more evidence do you need?

Case closed on AmeriKa's MSM and its PROPAGANDA SHOVELING, folks!

The relentless cascade of bombings and shootings -- hitting at least 10 cities and towns as the day unfolded -- also raised questions about whether Iraqi security forces can protect the country as the U.S. prepares to withdraw half of its remaining 92,000 troops in Iraq over the next four months.

And CUI BONO, 'eh?

At least you know WHO is BEHIND it all now.

The U.S. and Iraq have claimed major blows again al-Qaida in Iraq over the last month -- most notably the killings of two militant leaders Abu Omar al-Baghdadi and Abu Ayyub al-Masri in an April 18 raid on their safehouse near Saddam Hussein's hometown of Tikrit.

Related:

"Killing Abu Omar al-Baghdadi is a real trick when you consider that this article claims he was arrested (after being reported killed) back in 2009, and this article admits Abu Omar al-Baghdadi is just a made up fictional creation!
" -- Wake the Flock Up

But U.S. Maj. Gen. Stephen Lanza, the top military spokesman in Iraq, said Monday's attacks show "there is a threat out there that we have to be concerned about, and the threat is still capable."

The violence began before dawn in Baghdad in a series of attacks against checkpoints and patrols, targeting security forces. Gunmen disguised as cleaners used weapons fixed with silencers to spray security forces with bullets. At least 10 people were killed.

ABSOLUTELY REEKS of a MOSSAD OPERATION!

Most of the day's casualties were in two Shiite-dominated cities where wounded victims screamed their fury at the government for failing to protect them.

The worst violence hit the Shiite city of Hillah, the capital of Babil province 60 miles south of Baghdad. First, two parked car bombs near a textile factory exploded as workers were leaving the factory around midday, said Babil provincial police spokesman Maj. Muthana Khalid.

"Now stop and think here for a moment. All revolutions depend on public support. Revolutionaries try to first win the people before they take on the government. So, no revolutionary goes out and murders civilians in cold blood. Did Washington and his men just mow down a marketplace of their fellow colonials for the heck of it? No, they did not. Washington and the Founding Fathers knew that their revolution to build a new country needed the support of those who would live in that country. This is true for every revolution in history. Therefore, these acts of terror being blamed on the insurgency must all be fakes, committed by intelligence agencies working for the governments to be blamed on the insurgents in order to destroy public support for the revolution." -- Wake the Flock Up

Then as rescuers and workers were trying to help the injured, a suicide attacker with explosives strapped to his body blew himself up in the crowd.

I'm supposed to believe this accounting at this point?

At least 45 people were killed and dozens more injured, according to Khalid and al-Hillah hospital director Zuhair al Khafaji.

"It was a horrible scene with human flesh and blood on the ground," said Jassim Znad Abid, a taxi driver who lives in Hillah. "I saw dead people, some burned and crying, wounded people on the ground that was covered with pools of blood."

But it's not as bad as four years ago!!!!

Pffft!

Babil provincial Gov. Salman Nassir al-Zargani ordered flags lowered to half-staff and a three-day mourning period. In an interview with Iraqi state TV, he said he was informed Sunday that the factory was under threat, but cited too many security gaps across Babil to protect all sites he feared could be targeted....

In another Shiite city, the southern port of Basra, three bombs, including one that targeted a marketplace, killed at least 16 people, hospital and police officials said....

A pair of bombs struck the small town of Suwayrah, 25 miles south of Baghdad, killing 11. Three different bombings in the town of Abu Ghraib west of Baghdad that killed at least six people.

Twelve more were killed in five separate attacks stretching from the northern city of Mosul to the western city of Fallujah in Anbar province to the Shiite city of Musayyib south of Baghdad....

Daily violence in Iraq has eased since the height of the insurgency. But the latest attacks raise fears that the country's barely contained sectarian tensions could once again explode -- especially at a time of clouded political leadership....

BAGHDAD — A late-night car bomb Wednesday night tore through a cafe in the Sadr City neighborhood, killing nine people in what many worry marks another attempt by insurgents to provoke militias into resuming the sectarian bloodshed that once ravaged the capital.

Sadr City, an overwhelmingly Shi’ite slum of 2 million people, is a stronghold of Muqtada al-Sadr, the anti-American cleric whose powerful militia has in the past battled US forces as well as Baghdad’s Sunni population.

Or HELPED THEM as the case were!!!!

For the past two years, the militia has been quiet, but following a series of blasts in the neighborhood that killed 72 people in April, Sadr offered Iraqi authorities the help of his forces, which many interpreted as a veiled threat to rearm and possibly carry out revenge attacks....

Police said yesterday that the explosives-packed microbus was carrying three people when it exploded, suggesting that the blast was premature and the actual target was somewhere else in the neighborhood.

Instead, the bombs destroyed a cafe filled with young men smoking water pipes and playing dominos, killing nine of them and wounding dozens, according to police and medical officials at the nearby Al Sadr and Imam Ali hospitals, who all spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak to the media.

The morning after the attack, little was left of the minibus except for a scorch mark on the spot where it exploded. Police had hauled most of it away for inspection and young boys scavenged the rest to sell as scrap in the impoverished neighborhood.

The blast also destroyed a large street sign bearing the images of Sadr and his revered father, for whom the neighborhood is named.

Not far away, weeping families loaded coffins on top of minibuses for the three-hour drive down to the holy city of Najaf, where most of Iraq’s Shi’ites prefer to be buried.

Iraqi security forces carried out a number of raids Wednesday following the attacks in areas around Fallujah west of Baghdad and the cities of Basra and Hillah to the south of the capital, arresting several suspects accused of involvement in the bombings....

Also yesterday, a roadside bomb exploded near a police patrol in Baghdad’s central al-Nahda square, killing a bystander and wounding eight others, while in the eastern suburb of New Baghdad, an Iraqi army lieutenant was shot dead by a sniper, officials said.

Better stay, right, AmeriKa?

BAGHDAD — Al Qaeda in Iraq’s new leader warned Shi’ites yesterday that “dark days soaked with blood’’ lie ahead and that a new campaign of attacks was underway.

At least they aren't Taliban, 'eh?

They WORK WITH Shiites -- or so my lying jewsmedia says.

That make the INTERMARRYING kind of strange, but....

Later yesterday, three suicide bombers blew themselves up at a sports field in a predominantly Shi’ite town in northern Iraq, killing at least 10 people and wounding 120 others, police and hospital officials said.

Days before the warning, Iraq was racked by the worst attack this year, a series of coordinated bombings and assassinations that killed 119 people — most of them Shi’ites and members of the security forces — across 10 cities.

The Iraqi insurgent umbrella group, the Islamic State of Iraq, named al-Nasser Lideen Allah Abu Suleiman as its new minister of war, replacing the Egyptian Abu Ayyub al-Masri, killed in a US-Iraqi military strike on a safe house in April. The ISI counts Al Qaeda as one of its member groups....

PFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFTTT!!!!

Hours earlier, a car bomb exploded outside a Shi’ite mosque south of Baghdad just after prayers, wounding 20 worshipers as they were leaving, a local police official said.

How come mosques stood for centuries until we got there?

BAGHDAD — Separately yesterday, assailants disguised in Iraqi military uniforms beheaded a Sunni cleric and stuck his head on an electricity pole in the town where he preached against Al Qaeda, the cleric’s son and Iraqi police said.

The son of the cleric Abdullah Jassim Shakour said the gunmen wearing military uniforms came to the family house in the town of Sadiyah north of Baghdad, took his father into a room, killed him, and walked away with his head.

A neighbor said the cleric was known for speaking against Al Qaeda and called on worshipers to fight the militant group during last Friday’s prayer.

"Sunni lawmaker killed in Iraq shooting" by Associated Press | May 25, 2010

BAGHDAD — Gunmen in northern Iraq killed a newly elected lawmaker from a Sunni-backed list that narrowly won Iraq’s March elections and wounded his driver yesterday, officials said.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility, but the Sunni lawmaker’s allies in the Iraqiya coalition said the shooting was politically motivated. His death, in the former insurgent hotbed of Mosul, could further destabilize Iraq’s fragile political system, which is in its third month without a new government after the March 7 election....

"Brazen Baghdad gold heist ends in 15 dead; Heavily armed Al Qaeda gunmen blamed in robbery" by Hamid Ahmed, Associated Press | May 26, 2010

Given the links I posted above, what are we to think of the AmeriKan MSM, readers?

I'll tell what I think: LIARS!!!

BAGHDAD — Gunmen wearing Arab headscarves and wielding assault rifles, rocket-propelled grenade launchers, and pistols robbed a gold jewelry market in broad daylight yesterday, killing 15 people in the most brazen example of Baghdad street crime that has soared as sectarian fighting ebbed.

It's ALWAYS SOMETHING, isn't it?

Authorities blamed Al Qaeda in Iraq, as they often are quick to do after major attacks and as the investigations are just getting underway.

“The fingerprints of Al Qaeda are obvious in today’s heist,’’ Major General Qassim al-Moussawi, Baghdad’s chief military spokesman said, speaking a couple of hours after the late-morning assault. He said the terror group has had money shortages and has been planning robberies as a way to fill its coffers....

Actually, I thought so, too.

Jewelry stores, currency exchanges, and banks are frequently targeted, though insurgents looking for quick cash have also been known to attack oil pipelines to siphon oil for resale.

Related: Mexican Oil Siphoning Story Stinks

I rest my case.

Aside from known militants, criminal gangs have been blamed for a number of robberies in the capital.

There are few statistics tracking the number and kinds of crimes, partly because the government remains focused on bombings and other insurgent attacks. But street crime has added to the woes of ordinary Iraqis, plagued by years of war and a lack of electricity and other services....

Yeah, we NEVER REBUILT the PLACE, America!!!!!!!

An Iraqi security official said the sophisticated and highly orchestrated attack suggested Al Qaeda, as did the use of pistols fixed with silencers.

Actually, that IMPLICATES Mossad!

And it COULDN'T HAVE BEEN "Al-CIA-Duh!":

“Sophistication is not a measure of danger’’

PFFFFFFFTTT!!

He also said documents seized during an April raid resulting in the deaths of the two top Al Qaeda in Iraq figures revealed instructions to rob banks, jewelry stores, and exchange houses as a way to finance the group’s activities....

BAGHDAD — Meanwhile, six people were killed and about two dozen were wounded in separate attacks in Iraq, police and hospital officials said yesterday. Among the dead was a prominent local leader of anti-insurgent Sunni forces known as Awakening Councils who was shot in Baghdad.

A policeman in Baghdad and another in the northern city of Kirkuk were killed by roadside bombs. In the northern city of Mosul, an Iraqi soldier died from wounds sustained in a car bomb blast, while gunmen killed two police officers at a checkpoint.

And DESPITE ALL THIS....

"US makes gains on Qaeda in Iraq leadership" by Associated Press | June 5, 2010

So where did the CIA send its ghosts this time?

WASHINGTON — The top American commander in Iraq said yesterday that most of the senior leaders of Al Qaeda’s affiliate in Iraq — 34 out of 42 — have been captured or killed over the past three months.

General Ray Odierno said the focus now is on keeping mid- or low-level fighters from taking their place.

“We will continue with our Iraqi security partners to go after them,’’ Odierno said.

After the 2003 invasion, Iraq became the central battleground for Al Qaeda, with the network growing in strength and helping undermine the Iraqi government supported by the United States.

Yeah, they WERE NOT THERE BEFORE!

Another BENEFIT of the INVASION!

More recently, US officials say Al Qaeda’s presence and influence in Iraq has diminished as the terrorist group turns its focus to Afghanistan and Pakistan, as well as such countries as Somalia with weak central government control.

Oh, THERE is where the CIA is ending them!!!!

At the Pentagon, Odierno said the United States had been “whittling away’’ at the remaining Al Qaeda force inside Iraq for a long time....

Then we can COME HOME!?!?

On US troop levels, Odierno said he is confident that he can meet the deadline set by President Obama to go down to 50,000 forces by the end of August. There are now 88,000 troops there, the general said.

Odierno said he does not believe that security in Iraq will deteriorate during the period of US withdrawal. “What’s different today than a year ago is the Iraqis are in the lead. We are not,’’ he said.

I guess that explains this:

"Two candidates in recent vote killed

BAGHDAD — Gunmen killed two candidates from the Sunni-backed coalition that won the most seats in Iraq’s March parliamentary election, slayings that the alliance said yesterday were part of a politically motivated campaign of assassinations.

Gee, WHO would want to do THAT?

Neither candidate was expected to take a seat in the new Parliament as both failed to win enough votes.

WTF?

But the killings were the third and fourth of candidates from the secular Iraqiya alliance in recent months, raising concerns about political intimidation of the top vote-getting bloc in the March 7 election (AP)."

"Explosions kill six in Iraqi capital; Car bombing also injures 15 outside a police station" by Hadeel Al-Shalchi, Associated Press | June 7, 2010

BAGHDAD — A car bomb exploded outside a Baghdad police station yesterday in the deadliest of attacks that killed six people in the Iraqi capital, security and hospital officials said.

A suicide attacker drove the bomb-rigged car up to a gate protecting the police post in western Baghdad’s al-Amil neighborhood during an early-morning shift change when officers were gathered outside its blast walls.

The blast killed four police officers and one civilian and wounded 15 people, according to emergency security and hospital officials who spoke on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to talk to the media.

The police station was relatively unscathed....

Oh, STINK!!!!!!!

Though violence has declined dramatically from just a few years ago, when the country teetered on the brink of civil war, attacks around the capital continue.

Yeah, pass that salt shaker over.

Related:

Yeah, everything is relative, right, MSM?

The violence is a serious challenge for Iraq’s police and military forces as US troops prepare to withdraw.

Adding to the sense of instability, Iraq’s political leaders are still wrangling over who will control the next government three months after a parliamentary election.

Iraqi and US officials fear insurgents and other extremist groups are taking advantage of the political stalemate to stage attacks aimed at reigniting sectarian violence.

Most of the attacks have been blamed on a dwindling but determined core of Al Qaeda in Iraq militants or others linked to the terror group....

Later yesterday, a roadside bomb hit an Iraqi police patrol in Baghdad’s eastern Zayouna neighborhood, wounding four policemen and a bystander, according to two police officials who also spoke on the condition of anonymity.

Elsewhere in eastern Baghdad, a remote-controlled bomb exploded near a courthouse, missing a judge who was the target but wounding one of his bodyguards and several bystanders, police said.

Another bomb, stuck to the underside of a car in Baghdad’s central Allawi al-Hillah area, ripped the vehicle apart during rush-hour traffic, killing the driver and wounding three passengers, according to police and hospital officials who spoke on the condition of anonymity.

Mossad's calling card.

"Spate of attacks leaves 13 dead in Iraq" by Associated Press | June 8, 2010

BAGHDAD — Attackers targeted Iraqi police and anti-insurgent fighters yesterday in an apparent campaign of intimidation that left at least 13 dead and multiple homes destroyed.

Also among the dead were three civilians killed by a bomb-rigged car loaded with ball bearings that exploded in a Baghdad shopping district. Elsewhere, drive-by shooters riddled a Christian man with 15 bullets in the disputed city of Kirkuk.

The spate of violence appears aimed at undermining Iraqis’ faith in the country’s security forces and exacerbating sectarian tensions.

Overall, violence has fallen sharply in recent years, thanks in part to efforts to win over former Sunni fighters who once fought US forces but later switched sides to battle Al Qaeda in Iraq.

A number of yesterday’s attacks took aim at the anti-insurgent Sunni fighters known as the Sons of Iraq, or Sahwa. Iraqi police were also targeted with home bombings.

Gunmen shot and killed a father and two of his sons at home in the al-Zaidan village, near the town of Abu Ghraib, west of the Iraqi capital. Police said that the dead man’s brother is a prominent Sahwa member and that the gunmen probably believed he was staying in the house.

In nearby al-Abid, gunmen forced the families of four policemen out of their houses at dawn and then bombed the buildings, police said.

Attackers also blew up two empty houses in the town of al-Qaim on the Syrian border. A bomb planted to ambush responding security forces killed one police officer and seriously wounded four, authorities said.
