The head of a Montessori school in Cambridge has pleaded not guilty to possessing and disseminating child pornography. David B. Harris, head of Cambridge Montessori School, was arraigned yesterday in Northern Berkshire District Court in North Adams. The 66-year-old North Adams resident was released on $2,500 bail. A hearing has been scheduled for Aug. 25. The charges followed a two-month investigation that resulted in a search warrant Sunday for Harris’s home. His attorney, Samuel Goldberg, said Harris found out about the charges two days ago and is ready to get to the “truth of the matter.’’ The school’s website posted a letter from its board of trustees expressing shock at the charges and stating that Harris has been suspended immediately without pay “until the board of trustees has enough information to make a final decision.’’ (AP)."

A North Adams man admitted yesterday to killing rabbits at a local construction plant in June and was sentenced to four years in prison, prosecutors said. Wayne P.
