And look who is in goal:

Needham principal defends suspensions

The Needham High School principal broke his silence yesterday on his decision to suspend players on the girls varsity soccer team for allegedly hazing teammates, saying the students’ actions were “not in keeping with the school’s core values, mission, or code of conduct.’’

In an e-mail to Needham High parents, principal Jonathan D. Pizzi said the investigation into the girls’ actions has concluded. He did not provide the reasoning behind his decision to suspend 10 players and prevent 12 to 13 from playing in a district tournament game.

Pizzi called for the community to move forward and “embrace and support all members of the girls soccer program as part of the NHS family.’’

You can't replay a championship game tomorrow.

“Sometimes terrific kids make awful mistakes, and it is our collective job as adults — parents and educators alike — to hold them accountable for their behavior and to help them learn and grow from the experience as well,’’ he wrote.

Spoken like a TRUE CONTROLLER with a FASCIST MINDSET!

Give a guy a state-sanctioned title and watch it go to his head.

So WHEN YOU ADULTS going to PROTECT the KIDS and CALL OUT the LYING, WAR-CRIMINAL GOVERNMENT that is SENDING YOUNG WOMEN (and men) like this to WARS based on LIES!?!?!

What did the little girls do, anyway?

The Globe reported yesterday that parents of the girls on the team stressed that the alleged hazing, which took place on Oct. 29 after the team had won a share of the Bay State Conference, was all in fun. Parents said some of the girls were blindfolded, and at least one was told to wear a dog collar and two were hit in the face with whipped cream pies. Others were made to sing songs or sing the praises of the seniors.

Are YOU SHITTING ME (sorry, kid)!!!?!!

Btw, when are the ADULTS going to GET AFTER the GOVERNMENT TORTURE based on the same damn war lies?

You know, I KEEP WAITING for the EDUCATORS to STEP FORWARD and EDUCATE!

Whassat?

Mumbling something about FEDERAL AID DRYING UP and PENALTIES being applied?

Sig heil!

One parent, who wished to remain anonymous, said in an interview last night that he was unhappy that the principal did not justify his decision in the e-mail, for what the parent considered a harsh punishment.

Acting like a government propagandist, 'er, official now with the anonymity, huh?

“I think what everyone would like is just the answers,’’ the parent said. “Just why? What was the thought process in handing down this punishment?

“It sounds to me that what he wrote is that it’s done, and he wants to move on and he wants the whole town to move on for it. I think most people feel that way at this point.’’

More like moving off.

Details of alleged hazing emerge

But each of the parents interviewed insisted that the episode was all in fun, a team-building exercise that might have gone too far but didn’t leave any of their girls harmed.

It was bullying!!!!

“The kids were misguided, and they shouldn’t have done what they did,’’ said Nick Bollas, the father of a freshman on the team. “But the penalty didn’t fit what happened. These kids do not deserve to be penalized for this. These girls are all best friends, and my daughter came home and she was in a good mood.’’

Yeah, other than the blindfolding -- you know, what the U.S. government does to tortured terror suspects -- I thought the girls were kind of cute.

Bollas and the other parents said the episode lasted only for about 20 minutes and that afterward the girls attended the high school football game together.

Now there is something you should get after: the war-promoting footba.... oh, right. Not part of the agenda.

Do you detect some DIVISIVE and SENSATIONALIST SEXISM in this featured coverage, folks?

Globe likes a cat fight?

:-(

If some of the freshmen were annoyed by what happened, he and the other parents interviewed insisted that the girls addressed their feelings and that they were over it.

But if we took a lawsuit for bullying against the school.... $$$$.

It was BULLYING!

***********

In letters sent to Pizzi that were included in the court records, Lisa and Craig Newfield, parents of one of the girls, urged him to reconsider.

“The incident was misguided, but no real harm was done,’’ they wrote.

Until the next teen suicide.

Lawsuit!

Bullying!

The girls’ “sentiment and ours is: It happened; it’s over; let’s move on. [Our daughter] was not hurt by the events and continues to respect the seniors and feels like a respected member of the team. . . . Please do not make the situation worse and teach the wrong lessons.’’

Newspapers just can't help themselves.

Mark and Carol Oberle wrote: “There is nothing [our daughter] would like to do more now than ‘move on’ and continue to do fun things with her teammates,’’ they wrote.

But we CAN'T JUST MOVE ON!!

We can NOT HAVE OUT-OF-CONTROL GIRL BULLIES in our SCHOOLS!!

“[Our daughter] has positive feelings and respect for ALL of her teammates — seniors, juniors, sophomores, and freshmen. More importantly, she feels very much a part of the team and genuinely respected by ALL of her teammates.’’

No "Thank you ma'am, may I have another?"

In the Oberles’ letter, the couple noted that the girls seemed to play better than ever in a game following the incident. They described the game as “a thing of beauty to watch.’’

Needham police officials were investigating the incident but several parents said they doubted that any charges would be filed.

Which makes this whole thing a tempest in a tea-pot.

Globe has been incrementally making it harder for me to keep score lately so the rest is likely to be a crap shoot (I love mixing my metaphors).
