Sunday Globe Special: bin Laden's Bunker

The lens you are looking through:

"As Carl Bernstein documented decades ago, the CIA "ran a formal training program in the 1950s to teach its agents to be journalists. Intelligence officers were 'taught how to make noises like reporters,' explained a high CIA official, and were then placed in major news organizations with help from management. 'These were the guys who went through the ranks and were told, 'You're going to be a journalist,' the CIA official said. Relatively few of the 400-some [media] relationships described in Agency files followed that pattern, however; most involved persons who were already bona fide journalists when they began undertaking tasks for the Agency."

By way of an initiative called "Operation Mockingbird," the CIA built a large seraglio of paid media courtesans. This was carried out through the Office of Policy Coordination, which was created by Allen Dulles and Frank Wisner  – the latter being the official who went on to organize coups (and the attendant propaganda campaigns) against governments in Iran and Guatemala. (Wisner's son and namesake, incidentally, was a vice chairman at AIG – the CIA's favorite global insurance conglomerate – until 2009; more recently he was tapped by the Obama administration to serve as a back-channel contact with Hosni Mubarak and Omar Suleiman.)

The tendrils of "Operation Mockingbird" extended through every significant national media organ, from the Washington Post and Newsweek to the Time-Life conglomerate, from the New York Times to CBS. As a result, according to former CIA analyst Ray McGovern, the Fourth Estate "has been captured by government and corporations, the military-industrial complex, the intelligence apparatus." It is, in everything but name, an appendage of the Regime. This is clearly seen every time the Regime decides the time has come to mount another campaign of humanitarian bloodshed abroad.

Having "learned nothing from the horrors that they cheer-led like excitable teenage girls over the past 15 years, these bohemian bombers, these latte-sipping lieutenants, these iPad imperialists are back," sighs a wearily disgusted Brendan O'Neill in the London Telegraph.  "This time they're demanding the invasion of Libya."

And this is what you see through the prism:

"A peek inside bin Laden’s world: isolation, vanity, power; US releases tapes seized in raid; was active in plots, focused on image" by Elisabeth Bumiller and Carlotta Gall, New York Times / May 8, 2011

WASHINGTON — The most-wanted terrorist in the world lived his last five years imprisoned behind the barbed wire and high walls of his home in Abbottabad, his days consumed by darkness and domesticity.

So that is where they were hiding the body, huh?

And he was basically under house arrest anyway?

US officials believe that Osama bin Laden spent many hours on the computer, relying on couriers to bring him thumb drives packed with information from the outside world.

HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA!!!!!

He lived mostly in two indoor rooms except for daily pacing in his courtyard, near a lush inner garden framed by poplar trees.

His once-large entourage of Arab bodyguards was down to one trusted Pakistani courier and the courier’s brother, who also had the job of buying goats, sheep, and Coca-Cola for the household....

HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA!!!

They don't seriously expect us to believe this, do they?

HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA!!!

Osama drinks Coke?

HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA!!!!

The Obama administration released five videos yesterday recovered from bin Laden’s hideout that show him threatening the United States, condemning capitalism, and, in the most candid scenes, watching news coverage of himself on television.

In other words, the CIA sent 'em over from Langley studios!!

New York Times Admits War on Terror is U.S. Creation

Oh, AmeriKa's MSM KNOWS ALL ABOUT and yet STILL PUSHES the CHARADE, huh?

Also see: In videos, bin Laden paid attention to his image

At least, the actors the CIA had play bin Laden did.

Btw, if newspapers or cameras ever come near me I'll tell them to get the f*** away.

The videos were the first materials to be released from what a senior American intelligence official described as “the single largest collection of senior terrorist materials ever.’’

Then why did you guys allegedly kill the guy?

And they won't release the photoshopped corpse but they got video, huh?

The trove, which includes hundreds of computer storage devices, hard drives, videos, documents, and personal papers, was seized by the United States assault team that killed bin Laden early Monday.

We obviously know why they are pushing the lie.

The administration released the videos in part to promote a stunning intelligence triumph and to try to further diminish bin Laden’s legacy and popular appeal....

All this concocted fairy tale did was further diminish the AmeriKan media in my eyes -- not that they had very far to fall at this point.

"Al Qaeda admits bin Laden killed by US, vows to fight on" May 07, 2011|By Maggie Michael, Associated Press

CAIRO — Although the statement’s authenticity could not be independently confirmed, it was considered authentic.

By who? War-promoting papers and their mouthpiece media?

It was posted on militant websites yesterday by the al-Fajr Center, Al Qaeda’s online media distribution network, and the writing style was typical for Al Qaeda....

Oh, I'm convinced now.  What is interesting is that the article never mentions that the video was "discovered" by the SITE Institute, headed by Rita Katz.

There had been hope that bin Laden’s death would cause the Afghan Taliban to rethink its ties with Al Qaeda, a union the United States insists must end if the insurgents want to talk peace....

Yeah, well, which "Al-CIA-Duh" would that be, huh?

The made-up "Al-CIA-Duh?"

Or the "Al-CIA-Duh" CREATION for the COURTROOM!?

The disingenuous duplicity is really disgusting.

But yesterday, the Afghan Taliban praised bin Laden for his sacrifice in the Afghan war against the Soviets in the 1980s and said anyone who believes his death will undermine the current conflict is displaying a “lack of insight.’’

When he was a CIA ASSET?!!?!!
