"US Marshals seeking convicted drug dealer" by Jacqueline Tempera | Globe correspondent   May 23, 2014

The US Marshals Service fugitive task force is searching for a convicted drug dealer who was recently released from prison and has dropped out of sight.

Adam Alfreano Ellard, 41, was under supervision after being released from a 10-year sentence for cocaine sales, the Marshals Service said.

Ellard is known to stay in hotels and motels in southern Maine, but investigators say he may now be in southern New Hampshire or northern Massachusetts, the statement said.

Ellard is considered armed and dangerous. He has an extensive criminal history involving drugs, weapons, and violence. He may be selling drugs to finance his time on the run, the marshals said.

Ellard is described as white, about 5 foot 8, and 160 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair, officials said. He has a tattoo of a tiger and a dragon on his right arm and a tiger on his left arm.

Officials asked anyone with information about Ellard to contact the task force at 603-225-1632 or local police. Investigators warned citizens not to attempt to apprehend Ellard or to approach him.
