6 killed, 7 injured in rampage in Calif.; Gunman’s video filled with plans to kill, frustration" by Ian Lovett and Adam Nagourney | New York Times May 25, 2014
Here we go again, because my printed byline says Raquel Maria Dillon and Julie Watson. Of course, the two gun battles before crashing and the odd series of videos he was posting have either been removed, reedited, rewritten, or reduced.

Rodger apparently shot and killed himself inside the black BMW he used in the violence.
I was told they didn't know.
The rampage played out largely as he laid it out in the public postings, including a YouTube video where he sits in the BMW in sunset light and appears to be acting out scripted lines and planned laughs in the video posted Friday and taken down by YouTube on Saturday with a message saying it violated the site’s terms of service.
This is really starting to smell rank and suspicious. Just another psyop and conspiracy?
Why nothing about the stabbings before the shootings, Globe? Why nothing about the SSRIs he was on? What am I not being told things by my ma$$ media? Why have so many paragraphs in print been scrubbed from the web? Why isn't my Google search getting it done?
I'm sure the official story from the quaint mouthpiece will clear things up:
"Parents raced to try to halt Calif. rampage; Gunman had been planning spree for 3 years" by Adam Nagourney | New York Times May 26, 2014
LOS ANGELES — It was Friday evening when the parents of Elliot Rodger clicked open the 140-page manifesto e-mailed to them from their son and learned of his plans for mass-murder and suicide. Frightened and alarmed, they called 911 and then raced to Isla Vista in separate cars from Los Angeles, desperate to stop him.
It was too late.
By the time they arrived, Rodger had killed six people, the police said, and had died of a self-inflicted gunshot — a display of violence that stunned the quiet ocean-side college town.
In truth, Rodger had been planning his “Day of Retribution,” as he called it in that manifesto, for three years, from the summer day that he moved into a small apartment with two roommates, the first time he lived away from home. He had come hoping to escape the sexual rejections that he raged against through adolescence, but as he simmered at the happy couples walking down the streets, his thoughts turned from starting a new life to exacting revenge.
I blame the ma$$ media. They promote sexualization of everything, and the culture says love is the only area you can find peace and satisfaction.
I myself find much more in trying to prevent wars and worrying about loss of life. At my age, sex is not even an afterthought, let alone an action, and I'm fine with it. I had my day.

His parents’ frantic trip to Isla Vista was just one missed chance to avert the tragedy. In this case, the parents’ emergency call to the police and their arrival came well after the killing spree was over.
Only weeks earlier, in late April, deputies from the Santa Barbara Sheriff’s Office had stopped by Rodger’s apartment at the request of state mental health officials, acting on an expression of concern by his mother. They left after being assured by a calm and polite Rodger that there was nothing to worry about. The officers reported that Rodger was shy and said that he was having difficulties in his social life, but that he did not need to be taken in for mental health reasons.
Why would he tell the cops that?
And is this charade simply being advanced so the state can take you away and lock you up for insanity like Stalin did?
That left them little ground to act under California law. Because Rodger was never institutionalized because of his emotional problems, he was able to legally purchase the weaponry he used in the shooting.
Sometime after the police visit, Rodger — who had already amassed a stockpile of weapons and ammunition in the apartment — added a note to his manifesto: “If they had demanded to search my room that would have ended everything. For a few horrible seconds I thought it was all over.”
His killing rampage was meticulously laid out, moving from an angry fantasy to a detailed mission over the course of three years.
My mission is almost done.

Sheriff Bill Brown of the Santa Barbara’s Sheriff’s Office, speaking on “Face the Nation” on CBS, recounted how deputies visited Rodger in April and found that he appeared calm and lucid and did not meet the criteria, in the view of his deputies, by which he might have been brought in for observation.
Because of that, they also had no grounds to search Rodger’s apartment....
Is that what this is all about? Being able to search apartments without warrants?

Why didn't he just go gay? He could have found love there.
Maybe staying in a motel would be better than an apartment or sorority house.
"3 killed in shooting at S.C. motel" Associated Press May 26, 2014
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — Three people were killed and a fourth was wounded in a shooting at an oceanfront motel in Myrtle Beach, one of South Carolina’s most popular tourist destinations.
The shootings took place around 11 p.m. Saturday in front of crowds of tourists at the Bermuda Sands Motel along the beach’s new boardwalk, Police Captain David Knipes said.
Shooting or shootings? They can't get that right?
***********
Witnesses said the shootings happened after a fight in front the motel.
Gang bangers?
The shooting happened during the annual Atlantic Beach BikeFest, held about 15 miles away during the Memorial Day weekend. Police say they typically deal with motorcycle wrecks and lesser offenses during the bike rally, but violence is unusual....
Not this weekend.

"Belgium hunts for suspect in Jewish attack" Associated Press May 26, 2014
BRUSSELS — Belgium launched a nationwide search Sunday for a lone gunman who walked into the Jewish Museum, unpacked a Kalashnikov rifle, killed four people with a short burst of fire, packed up, and briskly walked away.
The more I read about this the more I doubt it ever happened.
This is hilarious propaganda, folks.
Saturday’s attack led Belgian officials to immediately raise antiterrorism measures and increase the protection for Jewish sites for what was widely seen as an anti-Semitic attack. It happened on the eve of Belgium’s nationwide election and as voters across the continent picked a new European Parliament.
Yeah, the timing is way to suspicious.
Video of the attack showed an athletic man with cap walking determinedly into the small Jewish Museum in the swank Sablon area, clearly bent on quickly carrying out a planned attack. The whole assault took a minute at most.
The fourth victim died Sunday afternoon, according to a government official who asked not to be identified because the news had not yet been officially announced.
No one has claimed responsibility for the killings. Leaders from Belgium and France, Pope Francis, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel, and others condemned the cold-blooded attack.
It has all the hallmarks of a complete hoax or false flag fraud.
‘‘We call on the whole population to help identify this person,’’ deputy prosecutor Ine Van Wymersch said Sunday.
He's a ghost.

Looking more and more like staged and scripted fiction to me, and I'm full up on that shi*.
UPDATE:
"The article is in Dutch but hardly needs translation. Pictures speak louder than words. There are many conflicting stories about the incident and all of them keep changing. At first, the news was that bystanders had seen the attacker getting into a car and they wrote down the registration code. The car and the driver were found a few hours later but the driver 'had nothing to do with the case' and was let go at once. A deputy minister of the Belgian government was at the scene almost immediately and said 2 persons were shot outside, but nothing is visible on camera. The 2 'victims' inside look like crisis actors, and the blood on the scene is not blood from a shot in the throat imo. The person on camera firing the gun is not firing a gun according to the writer of the article.

"Rampage highlights difficulty of predicting mental breakdowns" by Christopher Weber and Alicia Chang | Associated Press May 27, 2014
GOLETA, Calif. — Colorado movie theater shooter James Holmes. Sandy Hook school attacker Adam Lanza. And now Elliot Rodger. All were young loners with no criminal history who went on shooting sprees, leaving distraught families in their wake.
Here we go!
I don't mean to be spitballing, but....
See: Sandy Hook Police Report Contains No Evidence That Mass Shooting Took Place And Strengthens Notion That Event Was A Fabricated Hoax
The truth is the Sandy Hook hoax is unraveling and everyone knows it.
Looks like a limited hang-out and cover-up to me.
Mass murderers tend to have a history of pent-up frustration and failures, are socially isolated and vengeful, and blame others for their unhappiness, criminologists say.
And they then become Presidents of the United States of AmeriKa.
‘‘They all display deluded thinking and a lot of rage about feeling so marginalized,’’ said James Garbarino, a professor of psychology at Loyola University Chicago.
What about new$papers that push war-promoting lies on the front pages? Where does that delusion fall in?
I mean, you can see where all this scripted and staged psyop stuff is going.
Since mass killings are extremely rare, scholars say it is difficult to predict who has deadly intentions, let alone who will reach a breaking point and take action.
Not according to my propaganda pre$$!
Past violence is a clue, but in Rodger’s case, police did not see him as a threat to himself or others during a welfare check weeks before Friday night’s rampage near the University of California Santa Barbara that left six victims dead and 13 injured.
The fact that he was part of an important Hollywood family also had to have something to do with the kid glove treatment.
Although Rodger struggled with mental health issues for years, he was able to buy guns and ammunition in a state with some of the strictest gun-control laws in the country.
This is the agenda-pushing point: government wants to be able to deem anyone mentally unstable so they can take away their Second Amendment rights. It's as clear as a sighting through a scope.
Rodger’s mother and counselor became alarmed about bizarre videos he posted and alerted authorities in April. But Rodger was able to convince deputies that he was not a risk to himself or others — conditions that would have allowed them to take him into custody under California law.
I guess the police didn't see the videos he made for an acting class(?).
It is uncertain whether the police would have had the authority under California law to search Rodger’s home for weapons when they came to check on him.
Since when have the police worried about that?
Rodger died of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head Friday after a shootout with deputies, ending a night of terror in the campus community of Isla Vista as the semester drew to a close.
Nice ending to the four years, 'eh?
The night apparently began when Rodger stabbed his roommates to death in their apartment.
And THAT is the FIRST MENTION OF IT I have seen in the Boston Globe -- if the upper-case type intending to draw attention to something important isn't too "angry" for you. More out of sadness at this point than anything else.
The sheriff’s office has identified the dead as Cheng Yuan Hong, 20, and George Chen, 19 — both from San Jose — and Weihan Wang, 20, of Fremont. Hong and Chen were listed on the lease as roommates. Investigators were trying to determine whether Wang was a roommate or was visiting the apartment.
I don't know if that is the kind of crowd to help you meet women.
The subsequent shooting rampage lasted about 10 minutes, with Rodger cruising around in his BMW firing at sorority women and strangers. Deputies found three semiautomatic handguns along with 400 unspent rounds in Rodger’s car. All were purchased legally.
The university plans a memorial Tuesday to mourn and remember the six students who were killed.
Before the attacks, Rodger left a trail of YouTube videos and a 140-page manifesto ranting against women and couples and lamenting his lack of a sex life. In his postings, Rodger, a 22-year-old community college student and son of a Hollywood director, said he was a lonely and frustrated virgin.
He never saw the 40-Year-Old Virgin?
‘‘I’m sexually attracted to girls. But girls are not sexually attracted to me. And there’s a major problem with that — a major problem. That’s a problem that I intend to rectify. I in all my magnificence and power, I will not let this fly. It’s an injustice that needs to be dealt with,’’ Rodger said in a video.
The attack played out largely as Rodgers sketched it in public postings. He said he would start by ‘‘silently killing as many people as I can around Isla Vista by luring them into my apartment through some form of trickery.’’ He said he would knock them out with a hammer, and slit their throats.
Pinpointing a mass killer ‘‘is not an exact science. We don’t have a foolproof way of predicting’’ who will turn violent, said Risdon Slate, a professor of criminology at Florida Southern College.
Those who study mass murderers say most lonely and angry people do not commit violence.
‘‘We can point to all the warning signs we missed. But they’re yellow flags. They’re not red flags until blood is spilled,’’ said James Alan Fox, a criminal justice professor at Northeastern University.

UPDATE:
"Police knew about Calif. killer’s videos" by Michael R. Blood and Tami Abdollah | Associated Press May 30, 2014
LOS ANGELES — Santa Barbara County sheriff’s deputies who checked on Elliot Rodger three weeks before he killed six college students were aware he had posted disturbing videos but never viewed them before or after determining he was not a threat to himself or others, the department disclosed Thursday.
The statement from the sheriff’s office corrected an earlier assertion that deputies were unaware of the videos when they checked on him April 30. It also provided new details on the sequence of events during that pivotal visit to Rodger’s apartment, a time when he was planning the rampage that would end with him apparently taking his own life after being hit by police.
The guns he used in the killings last Friday were in his apartment at the time, but police never searched the residence or conducted a check to determine whether he owned firearms because they did not consider him a threat.
The statement does not explain why the videos were not viewed or whether the deputies knew anything about the contents beyond a description of them being ‘‘disturbing.’’
Deputies wounded Rodger during two separate shootouts as he sped through Isla Vista, near the University of California, Santa Barbara.
