Alibaba Sells Bad Merchandise

After my propaganda pre$$ built up their IPO so nicely?

"Alibaba acts to keep suspect goods out of shipments to US

Alibaba has a new partner in rooting out products deemed unsafe for US consumers — and possibly some more headaches. The Chinese e-commerce company is teaming up with the US Consumer Product Safety Commission to prevent its online platforms from exporting recalled items. That’s apt to have the biggest effect on Alibaba’s business-to-business site, which sells goods produced in China to US importers and businesses. Alibaba has only a small business facilitating the sale of goods directly to US consumers. The US agency will give Alibaba lists of recalled items. The commission’s chairman, Elliot F. Kaye, cited last year’s recall of high-powered magnets being sold as toys in the United States; recently, some companies on Alibaba’s sites were selling the magnets wholesale. Alibaba, despite taking steps to clean up its e-commerce sites, retains a reputation for selling just about any product: brand-name, fake, or occasionally dangerous."
