SUV Assassination in Springfield

"Police are investigating the death of a woman who was found shot in the driver’s seat of a running SUV. Springfield police said the department received a 911 call at about 5:40 a.m. Monday saying a man wearing a black parka had smashed the window of an SUV on Scott Street and then fled in another vehicle. Officers responded and found the SUV with what appeared to be someone sleeping in the driver’s seat and the engine revving. Police determined she had been shot and EMTs declared the woman dead at the scene. Her name has not been made public and there was no word on any arrests (AP)."
