The AmeriKan MSM's Long, Slow, Ceaseless Fart

I'm so sick of the lies when I just look out my window or go out the door.

I'm just going to run down the whole pile as I received it in my morning flip-thru, readers.

"Groups line up for share of huge stimulus package; Ready-to-go, green projects get emphasis" by Brian C. Mooney, Globe Staff | December 15, 2008

As President-elect Barack Obama and congressional leaders construct a behemoth economic stimulus package, a parade of interest groups is seeking shares of the portion that will go to infrastructure construction projects. The "ready-to-go" project lists are longer than the supplicants' arms and for sums that would have seemed fantastic only months ago....

Another is Obama's 10-year, $150 billion investment plan to create five million "green jobs" through private development of alternative energy sources. "There's a very big emphasis on making 'green' investments, where it's a win, win, win situation for the economy," the aide said. Among items on the table are funds for home weatherization, so-called smart meters that measure energy usage in real time, and solar panels for government buildings....

I know it SOUNDS GOOD and I AM ALL FOR CLEAN ENERGY; however, this is NOT ABOUT THAT it is about MONITORING and TAXING YOUR PERSONAL ENERGY USE!!!!

"Gore said the single most important policy change would be placing a carbon tax on burning oil and coal."

Citing a rise in ridership in the past year, Virginia Miller, spokeswoman for the American Public Transportation Association, said: "Just by changing to public transportation from taking a car, an individual can reduce daily carbon emissions by an average of 20 pounds, or more than 4,800 pounds a year."

Umm, yeah: Got Fuel to Burn, No Roads to Drive

"Obama sounds alarm on global warming; Says the problem is a matter of urgency, security" by Seth Borenstein, Associated Press | December 15, 2008

WASHINGTON - When Bill Clinton took office in 1993, global warming was a slow-moving environmental problem that was easy to ignore. Now it is a ticking time bomb that President-elect Barack Obama can't avoid.

Since Clinton's inauguration, summer Arctic sea ice has lost the equivalent of Alaska, California, and Texas. The 10 hottest years on record have occurred since Clinton's second inauguration. Global warming is accelerating. Time is close to running out, and Obama knows it.

I'm so sick of the lies!

Ice expanse growing in Antarctica

So it appears that Arctic ice isn't vanishing after all

"The time for delay is over; the time for denial is over," he said Tuesday after meeting with former Vice President Al Gore, who won a Nobel Peace Prize for his work on global warming. "We all believe what the scientists have been telling us for years now that this is a matter of urgency and national security and it has to be dealt with in a serious way."

This kind of lying crap is really angering me!!!!!!!

Obama is expected today to name Nobel physics laureate Steven Chu as his energy secretary and former Environmental Protection Agency chief Carol Browner as the head of a new council that will coordinate White House policy on energy, climate, and environment....

Obama is pushing changes in the way Americans use energy, and produce greenhouse gases, as part of what will be a massive economic stimulus. After years of inaction on global warming, 2009 might be different.

You have been WARNED and WARNED and WARNED, AmeriKa!!

Can you SMELL the FART MIST?!!!!!

"We need to start in January making significant changes," Gore said in a recent telephone interview with the Associated Press. "This year coming up is the most important opportunity the world has ever had to make progress in really solving the climate crisis."

Oh, now it is a "climate crisis," not global warming, huh?

Scientists are increasingly anxious, talking more often and more urgently about exceeding "tipping points." US emissions have increased by 20 percent since 1992. China has more than doubled its carbon dioxide pollution in that time.

What scientists? The Other Global Warming Conference

World carbon dioxide emissions have grown faster than scientists' worst-case scenarios. Methane, the next most potent greenhouse gas, suddenly is on the rise again and scientists fear that vast amounts of the trapped gas will escape from thawing Arctic permafrost.

The fucking lying is unbelievable! They sound like the pathological liar Lovitz used to play on Saturday Night Live!

In the early 1990s, many scientists figured that the world was about a century away from a truly dangerous amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, said Mike MacCracken, who was a top climate scientist in the Clinton administration. But as they studied the greenhouse effect further, scientists realized that harmful changes kick in at far lower levels of carbon dioxide than they thought.

This is SUCH FUCKING GARBAGE!!!!!!!!

Now some scientists, but not all, say the safe carbon dioxide level for Earth is about 10 percent below what it is now.

Yeah, FUCK YOU! The earth is ALWAYS CHANGING because that is what is NATURAL!!!! Ready for your CARBON TAX?!!

"Obama to name energy, environment team picks

President-elect Barack Obama, who has vowed to adopt an aggressive approach to global warming and the environment, will hold a news conference today to announce his choices to lead the effort.

He is expected to name Steven Chu, a Nobel physics laureate, as energy secretary and Carol Browner, a former Environmental Protection Agency chief, as the head of a new council that will coordinate White House policy on energy, climate, and environment, sources have said.

Obama is also expected to announce he has chosen.... Nancy Sutley, a deputy mayor of Los Angeles, as head of the White House Council on Environmental Quality.... The choices were applauded by environmental groups. Browner, a principal at strategy firm The Albright Group LLC, had a long history at the EPA.

And WHAT is CONSPICUOUSLY MISSING from the job history?

Chu, who would be the first Asian-American to lead the energy department, would work closely with Browner. Chu shared the 1997 Nobel Prize in physics for developing methods to cool and trap atoms with laser light. He has been director of the Energy Department's Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in California since 1994...."

So, while we are being lectured about OUR CARBON FOOTPRINTS, how is the new Prez gonna set an example?

"Obama's Chicago retreat brings security challenges

When President-elect Barack Obama heads home for a break from the White House, he won't go to a sprawling ranch or private seaside compound. Obama will come back to a crowded city neighborhood, creating security challenges for the Secret Service and perhaps headaches for his neighbors.

No other recent first family has lived in a city neighborhood like the Obama's. The $1.6 million mansion he and his wife share with their two daughters sits just off a busy street, a stretch of which has been closed to traffic, and his closest neighbors are a few feet away.

You got a $1.6 million mansion? No wonder we aren't getting any change.

"My Kennebunkport is on the South Side of Chicago," Obama said in a recent interview with the Chicago Tribune. "Our friends are here. Our family is here. We are going to try to come back here as often as possible . . . at least once every six weeks or couple months."

And just HOW do you intend to TRAVEL?

His busy South Side neighborhood affords none of the privacy of President Bush's 1,600-acre Texas spread or Bush's father's seaside summer retreat in Kennebunkport, Maine. Ronald Reagan's White House in the West was his mountaintop Rancho del Cielo in California.

Like other presidents, Obama is sure to spend some of his down time at Camp David, the presidential retreat on a remote Maryland mountaintop, and in Hawaii, a regular vacation spot for him and where he spent much of his childhood.

For security reasons, the Obama's urban oasis already has changed. Their large red brick house doesn't have the benefit of being surrounded by acres of land, so the city streets near it look like a military zone with blocks-long metal and concrete barriers. Secret Service agents and police patrol the area.

What is the CARBON FOOTPRINT on all that, huh?

Speaking of which:

IMAGINE IF it were possible to recycle energy, just as we do bottles and newspapers. Well, it is, and hybrid cars are the proof. They are the key to making significant reductions in our fossil fuel consumption and greenhouse gas production, and are therefore the future of American transportation.

Umm, actually, that may be a problem: Recycling is Bad for the Environment

We have worked for many years building a worldwide infrastructure to recycle bottles, cans, newspapers, cars - almost anything - except energy....

Actually, they solved that one, dude: Rockefeller, Ford and the Secret History of Alcohol

Well, thank God it's the holidays!

First, drop the tinsel. Now, back away from that wrapping paper.

When decking the halls this holiday, environmentalists say, consumers might want to ask themselves: Just how "green" is that Christmas tree? Pondering.... will not only help the planet, it might save some money.

****************

"The alternative is a manufactured tree that comes from China; they have to be trucked halfway around the world," Peter Sander, co-author of "Green Christmas: How to Have a Joyous, Eco-Friendly Holiday Season," said. "The choice is obvious, unless you live in Arizona, where the tree has to be trucked 1,000 miles anyway."

Hey, that's where the toys and boxes are coming from. Besides, we need to keep the recycling business going!

.... Whatever the gift, the eco-conscious say, try to cut back on wrapping paper. Newspaper, reusable cloth bags, and even recycled maps from old trips make good substitutes.

They FINALLY FOUND SOMETHING this shit rag is GOOD FOR!!!!

Of course, if you have no gifts to give.... No Toys For Tots This Year

"We don't have to do without, we just have to be smarter, think differently about Christmas," said Emily Bateson, deputy director of the nonprofit environmental advocacy group Environment Northeast. "And the benefit is that you don't have a mountain of trash at the end holidays."

How about cancelling the whole enforced-shopping holiday altogether and returning it to its roots?

And when you enviro-cultists going to PROTEST the WAR MACHINE and NASCAR?
