Investigating the Murder of Elizabeth Mun

"Two deaths, 1 close call stir fears of teen parties" by Keith O'Brien, Globe Staff | February 22, 2009

.... The recent deaths of two Massachusetts teenagers - 17-year-old Taylor Meyer last October in Norfolk and 16-year-old Elizabeth Mun last weekend in Andover, who each wandered away from unsupervised parties and died in cold, shallow bodies of water - have shocked parents and teenagers alike.... It's not known if Mun, whose funeral was held yesterday, or her friends were drinking alcohol prior to her death. Investigators aren't saying.

NOTHING about the DRUGS, huh?

Did SOMEONE give her a DATE-RAPE DRUG?

But Essex County authorities have confirmed that there were no parents home the night of the party when Mun wandered off, just as there were no parents around last fall when Meyer, celebrating homecoming, attended a drinking party in a wooded section of Norfolk. The two episodes, taken together, offer a window into the teenage party culture, where parents are often oblivious, or gone for the night, binge drinking is prevalent, and tragedies like these are all too likely, unfolding many times right in someone's living room or basement....

The GLOBE is DISGUSTING with their NON-INVESTIGATION and COVER-UP of this UNGODLY ATROCITY!!!!

Therefore, I must ONCE AGAIN turn to the BLOGS!!!!!

"Our View: Official silence in Mun investigation breeds speculation

The story of the tragic death of Elizabeth Mun has captured the attention of the local community. Our stories on the investigation are among those receiving the most comments on our Web site. The attention is understandable. A bright, young woman, just 16 and with a promising future, is dead. This is a tragedy, as any untimely death surely is. Our sympathies go out to the Mun family as well as to all her friends and acquaintances.

But with the attention has come speculation, some of it unsavory and surely hurtful to those who care about Elizabeth Mun. That speculation, unfortunately, is being fueled by the refusal of officials to discuss any aspect of their investigation.

The absolute facts known about Mun's death are few. Last Saturday, she attended an overnight "gathering," as police reports initially described it, at the Andover home of Laurie Zimmerman at 58 William St. Mun, of Wellesley, was an acquaintance of Zimmerman's son Zachary, 18. Both attended Concord Academy. Early Sunday, around 5 a.m., Mun left the Zimmerman residence on foot. At 5:27 a.m., she made a call on her cell phone. When her friends reported her missing, police used her cell phone to help find her.

Mun was found at 10:46 a.m. in Hussey Brook Pond, not far from the Zimmerman residence. She was unresponsive. Mun was taken to Lawrence General Hospital then airlifted to Children's Hospital in Boston. She was pronounced dead there Sunday night. Police investigating the death were seen removing material in brown paper bags from the Zimmerman home. An autopsy and toxicology tests on Mun's body were performed.

There the facts about this case end and the speculation begins. The lack of hard information from official sources has led to all sorts of wild guesses about what went on at the Zimmerman house and who bears responsibility for this tragedy.

Police and prosecutors will not characterize the nature of the investigation, nor will they say whether charges are pending against any member of the Zimmerman family. They have not said whether they believe drugs or alcohol were involved in Mun's death.

Yeah, WHY the TIGHT LIPS, huh? I mean, WE KNOW WHY, readers!!!!

Few would be surprised to learn that alcohol was a factor in this tragedy. Underage drinking has been a cause of a number of other untimely deaths of teens. But until police confirm that they suspect alcohol was a factor, it remains speculation.

There has been further speculation about a prior police investigation of Laurie Zimmerman, who runs a corporate recruiting business out of her home. In 2003, Oregon authorities requested a search of the Zimmerman home when she was suspected of stealing the identity of a female employee of the high-tech firm Intel in Oregon. When they searched her home, they seized computer disks and documents, and a computer tower. Attorney John Valerio said after the search warrant was conducted, Oregon authorities and Intel decided not to proceed with charges in the case.

WHY? I.D. THEFT and they DROP IT?

Other reports have said police also found 2 ounces of marijuana and that Zimmerman faced criminal charges for illegal possession of a class D substance. The case was continued without a finding for six months and later dismissed.

Readers?!!!!!!!

At this point, these past matters seem to have no relevance to the investigation into the death of Mun.

They SURE AS HELL DO!!!!!

We understand the need of police and prosecutors to build a case and to take care in making public statements on investigations. But at some point, official silence does more harm than good. Officials looking into Mun's death ought to be more forthcoming about their investigation. That might put to rest some of the wilder speculation surrounding this tragedy.

Translation: the JEWSMEDIA can ADVANCE the COVER STORY for the JEW KILLERS!!!! That's why it is taking the tight-lipped cops so long; gotta come up with a cover story they can shit sell the people.

16-year-Elizabeth Mun? Can you say COVER-UP, readers?

"
Laurie Zimmerman is the president of Zimmerman Associates.... This is not the first time a police investigation has focused on her. Oregon authorities searched her home in November 2003 when she was suspected of stealing the identity of a woman there. No charges have been filed in that case. During the search, police found two ounces of marijuana and she faced criminal charges for illegal possession of a class D substance. The case was continued without a finding for six months and later dismissed."

Oh, this just gets BETTER and BETTER!!!

"DA strikes deal with teenage partygoers; Norfolk girl died after gathering" by John R. Ellement, Globe Staff | February 20, 2009

WRENTHAM - The Norfolk district attorney expressed hope yesterday that at least some of the partygoers who attended an alcohol-fueled gathering in October that ended with the death of a 17-year-old will change their behavior.

"What we are trying to do . . . is really have a behavioral impact," District Attorney William R. Keating told reporters at his office in Canton. "I sincerely believe that, although not all of these people are likely to be changed significantly, I do believe some of them will be."

Keating spoke after 14 of the partygoers, ranging in age from 17 to 20 years, agreed in court to an unusual deal brokered by his office and admitted they were drinking in the woods of the former Norfolk Airport with 17-year-old Taylor Meyer the night of her death.

The body of the King Philip Regional High School senior was found Oct. 20. An autopsy showed that her blood alcohol level was .13 when she drowned. The issues surrounding Taylor Meyer's death are being reexamined because of what Keating described as a "hauntingly similar" case in Andover this week.

Sunday morning, 16-year-old Elizabeth Mun was found facedown in a partially frozen brook wearing only shorts and a jacket five hours after wandering away from an all-night party about 5 a.m. Results of Mun's autopsy have not been released, and police have declined to say whether drugs or alcohol were consumed at the party....

Elizabeth Mun

16-year-old Elizabeth Mun died on February 15, 2009, after she was was found unconscious in an icy brook in Andover, Massachusetts. She had attended a nearby party at the house of Laurie Zimmerman, the president of a consulting firm.1 The cause of her death has not been determined. Mun was a student at the same school as Zimmerman's son and there were no adults at the party.2

Mun's Death

Mun remained unresponsive after CPR. She was brought to a nearby hospital, and was later flown to Boston by helicopter. She was pronounced dead at 5:27 p.m. at the Children's Hospital in Boston.41 An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death.2

With comment:

The answers will be made public. That is certain.

1) 5AM was communicated as the time of her exit from the house, and Police were called at approx 7AM....almost a 2 hour time frame. They would have called in 30 minutes, had they not seen her in close proximity to the house at that time. The sun is coming up at 6am...

2) She was wearing shorts and T-shirt. This suggests she was doing something "normal" up until the time she left. The fact that she left the house without an outdooor wardrobe suggests there was either an altercation or an altercation accompanied by an alcohol/drug induced state.

3) She was found face down. If a person falls down on their own, 85% of the time that person ends...face up. Face down suggests possible foul play.

4) Why was she transferred from triage at Lawrence, to Boston?
This suggests that this was not simply a drowning/hypothermia death. There were additional complication(s) that would have warranted this move, and requisite medical attention not readily available at the first hospital. (head trauma/brain injury) She must have had a pulse at Lawrence.

From her photos, she looked to be no more than 90lbs. At 16, Three or four drinks would make here incoherent. 5- 6 drinks and she would be almost comatose. Couple the cold weather with a severely altered state, and she couldn't stand a chance.. disorientation at that time becomes a fatal condition.

I pray for the family of this gifted child.

"Police tracked missing teen by cell phone signal" by Jill Harmacinski

ANDOVER — Sixteen-year-old Elizabeth Mun was wearing shorts, a beige winter coat and boots when she walked out of a William St. home early Sunday morning.

You decide for yourselves, readers. I don't know what to say.

At 5:27 a.m., she made a final call on her cell phone. Hours later, after Mun was reported missing, rescuers would use her cell phone signal to track down the teen as she lay unresponsive in Hussey Brook Pond, according to police records.

Mun died Sunday night in a Boston hospital. Autopsy and toxicology test results were unavailable yesterday as an investigation into what occurred prior to her death continued. Police have said Mun attended a gathering at 58 William St., the home of Laurie Zimmerman. But investigators have not said whether they uncovered any evidence of underage use of alcohol or drugs.

Zimmerman was not home that night, said Steve O'Connell, spokesman for District Attorney Jonathan Blodgett. He would not comment on whether charges are pending against her, her son, Zachary Zimmerman, 18, or anyone else who was there that night. Mun and Zachary both attended Concord Academy in Concord.

"The investigation is ongoing," O'Connell said....

We'll be watching.

**************

At 6:50 a.m., a caller from the William Street area told police "his friend left the area on foot" more than an hour before.... "Incoming calls were received on her cell phone, which hit a tower located at 300 Central St., North Andover," according to the log. The log did not indicate who Mun called or who called her....

Excuse me? HOW COULD IT NOT? The TELECOMS are COLLECTING all that for the STATE AUTHORITIES and FEDERAL GOVERNMENTS?

I'm SMELLING COVER-UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Laurie Zimmerman is the president of Zimmerman Associates, a management consulting firm she runs from her home.

Wait a minute! She BUSTS HER ASS 90 HOURS a WEEK from HOME? But bloggers are to be pooped on, huh?

This is not the first time a police investigation has focused on her. Oregon authorities searched her home in November 2003 when she was suspected of stealing the identity of a woman there. No charges have been filed in that case.

During the search, police found two ounces of marijuana and she faced criminal charges for illegal possession of a class D substance. The case was continued without a finding for six months and later dismissed.

I mean, really, what more is one to say?

And here the mafia media is trying to imply that the girl committed suicide?

"Deepening the mystery was a haunting poem published in an online teen magazine that describes a seaside crime scene and a woman "drowning in her sorrows." Officials at the magazine, Teen Voices Online, said Mun had written the poem in 2005 when she was a student at Dana Hall School in Wellesley...."

I'm NOT MAKING the CONNECTION?

Are they trying to say that this LOVELY GIRL COMMITTED SUICIDE?

I'm sorry, readers, I'm headed for toilet -- hope I make i....

Update:

"DEATH AT HER DOORSTEP

Elizabeth Mun, a 16-year-old Wellesley girl, died on Sunday after she was found submerged in a local pond in Andover, MA. I used to live in that town so this story captured my attention. Officials say the girl was at a co-ed slumber party at the home of fellow student, Zachary Zimmerman, son of Laurie Zimmerman of 58 William Street. For reasons unknown at this time, she left on foot around 5 AM that morning. When her friends went to look for her a couple hours later and couldn't find her, they called police. She was later found unresponsive and face down in a nearby pond. She was pronounced dead at Boston's Children's Hospital. Elizabeth, daughter of surgeon Edward Mun and orthodontist Sue Lee, was a day student at the exclusive Concord Academy. Detectives consider 58 William Street a crime scene. They have yet to release any details about what occurred there or whether alcohol or drugs were consumed. Autopsy results have not been released.

I have some questions for Zachary's mom, Laurie Zimmerman:

Where were you on the night of February 14th?

Me thinks you were not home since you weren't the one who called police. Perhaps you had gone away for the holiday weekend with a boyfriend leaving your son unsupervised. In this day and age, you really have to have your head in the sand if you think that's a smart idea.

Do you know that Massachusetts has a social host responsibility law to make it a crime to allow minors to drink at your home?

Me thinks you do now. But exactly how could Zach pass around your booze without you eventually finding out it was missing or did he actually have your permission to drink with friends?

Was your 14-year-old daughter Zoe left in the care of Zach?

Me thinks probably.

Why didn't your son call the police sooner?

Me thinks Zach was trying to clean up the place.

Do you think it's okay to have your son participate in co-ed pajama parties? (This isn't even appropriate for five-year-olds!)

Me thinks yes. You're probably a liberal.

Who is Kevin Krauss and what happened with Paul?

Me thinks Kevin was your latest live-in boyfriend, who moved out a year ago. That really sounds like a stable household for two teenagers.

Does Zach do drugs?

Me thinks you probably don't have a clue. According to your web site (which you shut down on Sunday), you're a single mom, you have two children. You work 90 hours a week (president of Zimmerman Associates) and in your spare time, you train animals and care for your three Black Labs, three parrots, three cats and two ferrets.

Now that your home has become a possible crime scene, do you understand you may have compromised your family's well being as well as your own?

Me thinks this death at your doorstep will cause you to re-evaluate your responsibilities as Zach and Zoe's mother.

February 18th update: According to the Boston Herald, the 48-year-old divorcee was charged in 2004 with possession of marijuana after police found it stashed in a filing cabinet in her home office. In November 2003, Oregon police were investigating allegations that Zimmerman had stolen the identity of an Oregon woman who worked for a computer company. Investigators contacted local authorities, who searched Zimmerman's home office and discovered marijuana. The outcome of the Oregon case is unclear. Both Zimmerman and her attorney declined comment yesterday. Eric J. Parker, who specializes in social host liability law, said the Mun family could sue Zimmerman or her son, claiming negligence. Zimmerman could ultimately be held criminally and civilly responsible if a court finds that any wrongdoing took place at her house that night.

That's Zachary with the three black labs and an unidentified friend. His My Space page indicates that he's full of himself but you can see there's nothing special about him - a common Jewish look. Two years ago when he was only 16, he blogged, "Just got back from the cape, visited my cousins there. Saturday went to a seafood place...heh i ordered a Budweiser and they gave me one no questions asked, so that was pretty neat. On the way out my cousin was like hey you should snag that bottle of steak sauce...so i did...and gave it to my aunt as a gift." What a jerk. This kid was headed for the big trouble he's in now.
