Censored Somalia Brief

Notice you NEVER HEAR about the PIRATES (or anything else) much anymore?

Must be mission accomplished, 'eh, agenda-pushing MSM?

Or you just got bigger plans to push, huh?

"Parade lauds first mate of attacked ship

The first mate of the US cargo ship that was attacked by pirates off the coast of Somalia in April was honored yesterday with a parade. The tribute to Captain Shane Murphy of Seekonk came at the end of this year’s Boston Navy Week at the Charlestown Navy Yard. The 34-year-old graduate of the Massachusetts Maritime Academy took command of the Maersk Alabama after four armed pirates hijacked the vessel and held the ship’s captain hostage. With Murphy at the helm, the crew resisted the pirate takeover, took back the ship, and sailed home (AP)."

Of course, ISRAEL'S PIRACY goes by UNREMARKED UPON!

Maybe these guys can put in for some benefits

"Merchant Marine sailors seek benefits for WWII service; GI Bill programs weren't extended to them after war" by Richard Simon, Los Angeles Times | June 13, 2009

WASHINGTON - When they came home, they did not receive the cornucopia of benefits that a grateful nation bestowed on returning veterans....

We stiff 'em in every war, don't we?

They and thousands of others were not eligible for the education subsidies, home loan guarantees, and other provisions of the GI Bill - benefits that helped millions of veterans as they returned to civilian life. It is an oversight....

Maybe one of these days they will overlook starting a war, 'eh?

Congress recently ended a long struggle by another group of aging veterans - Filipinos who fought alongside American forces against the Japanese - to receive payments for their wartime service.

Not that they don't deserve it (why get paid when fighting for own freedom, but...); however, do they know THIS COUNTRY is BLEEDING RED INK and BORROWING into OBLIVION?

Maybe we could STOP STARTING WARS, 'eh?

For an issue involving such long-ago events, the proposal to help World War II merchant seamen has stirred surprisingly sharp opposition. The Department of Veterans Affairs and the Veterans of Foreign Wars have come out against the bill, contending that it would give the mariners a monetary benefit unavailable to many who served in uniform....

The bill's projected $438-million five-year cost could also be a stumbling block. Critics say they do not dispute the mariners' contribution to the war effort, but....

In fact, the mariners' legislation is one of a number of bills aimed at healing old wounds and righting perceived wrongs from World War II era, from providing payments to survivors of the Bataan Death March to establishing a commission to review the US government's treatment of Jewish refugees fleeing Nazi persecution.

At this point I throw up my hands at the ZIONIST CONTROL over AMERIKA'S CONGRESS!!!!! Haven't we done enough for those ungrateful shits?

The measures come with a sense of urgency. World War II veterans are dying at a rate of about 1,000 a day. "Congress has a responsibility to correct the wrongs of the past, and this is one of the grave injustices that deserve rectifying...."

How come YOU are NOT URGENT, American taxpayers and homeowners?

Why is Congress going back 50+ years to spend money we don't have? I think we know why.

And WHAT ABOUT SLAVERY, the NATIVE AMERICAN GENOCIDE, and IRAQ, PALESTINE, etc, etc, etc....?

Although the role of nonuniformed merchant sailors in World War II might have faded from popular memory, it was one of the most dangerous and important of the war, especially in the early years.

Defenseless or lightly armed private merchant ships, not US Navy vessels, carried supplies to Britain and Russia, enabling them to sustain the war against Germany while the United States rearmed.

Merchant ships played a similar role in the Pacific....

But we were ATTACKED with NO PROVOCATION our state history holds.

WTF?
